Nope, doesn't bother me one whit. But then, I don't generally find being called 'honey' or 'babe' or 'sugar' offensive either. Women's rights (or anyone's rights) is good and all, but when it comes to words, it's just how it's used, what tone it's said in, and the situation, not the word itself. And that even though one would think having boys turn into men quicker would lower the overall value of being called a man because it is now closer to the level of a boy, that doesn't happen, but instead men are not regarded any lesser. I agree with the fact that people need to relax on this type of thing. If it bothers somebody, then i will respect that, but i cannot be convinced to think the same way. my friend was a guy too BTW... Also, i was arguing with a friend, and i wanted to ask the two women on this thread if they feel oppressed when being called a girlfriend when it "should" be womanfriend. because i just have never thought it was oppressive, just an unintentioned figure of speech.

Yeah, Atton and Mira weren't really good jedi. i hear people use them with blasters even after jedification. If there is a 3rd Kotor, they should make non-jedi have some special abilities that jedi can't have. like how Atton tunes out Kreia or whatever: have some force resistance mind thing that a jedi would not be able to have because it would deafen their own skills. like that force resistance mask that made your wisdom go down or made something go down that should only be given to a non-jedi.

Sadly, it sounds only too believable. Is that TV series still going to happen? Let's hope it's successful and distracts Mr. Lucas from attempting to make movies. It might be quite good, as presumably George isn't actually going to be writing it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> an episode 7 SW movie couldn't be that bad guys... the movies already bottomed out in bad quality. it can only get better. So with that in mind, I want an episode 7 with the old Mark Hammil. But if possible, I don't want George to write it.

ah, thanks for the clarification. When i "refered" to the bible though, i was refering to where i got my belief, not using it as "evidence". and okay, if evidence, means something testable, then evidence is still not needed for my faith. In this case, i think we agree that ID cannot be scientific.

That comment was very relative to you. I judge it as a cheap shot to the people holding opposing beliefs to yours. You are the one who dignifies things by debating them. What if, by not debating something, you are giving it more dignity by symbolising your fear that you may not be able to disprove it?
