  1. ... My God is love (1 john 4:. and we (christians) love Him because He first loved us. (1 john 4:19, NKJV) chaos, discord... sounds unharmonious... by definition it is "unharmonious"... The passage you gave talks about "greyface". who the heck is a greyface? That doesn't apply at all to me. and of course you think the Holy Bible is inefficient and "dumb", the Bible even says you would think that: "For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God." My God's foolishness is wiser than your wisdom, and My God's weakness is stronger than your strength. (1 cor. 1:25) dang that is pretty wise and strong. But no hard feelings. i am just presenting my beliefs. i in no way at all hate you. i am commanded by my God to love you. So i shall do that.
  2. Don't you "..." me young man! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> ...
  3. Reveilled, have you even read your favourite passage in the Bible? Romans 9:18-22 "So then He has mercy on whom He desires, and He hardens whom He desires. You will say to me then, "Why does He still find fault? For who resists His will?" On the contrary, who are you, O man, who answers back to God? The thing molded will not say to the molder, "Why did you make me like this," will it? Or does not the potter have a right over the clay, to make from the same lump one vessel for honorable use and another for common use? What if God, although willing to demonstrate His wrath and to make His power known, endured with much patience vessels of wrath prepared for destruction?" of course, i don't expect you to understand it, because i also believe in this passage that says a whole lot about you guys (replace Greeks with your name)... 1 Corinthians 1:18-25. For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. For it is written: "I will destroy the wisdom of the wise; the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate." Where is the wise man? Where is the scholar? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe. Jews demand miraculous signs and Greeks look for wisdom, but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles, but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. For the foolishness of God is wiser than man's wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man's strength.
  4. For that matter why bother with creation at all? i believe God made everything to be glorified. you, me, him, her, all of our purposes are to glorify Him. He deserves to be glorified too. He has all the credentials: fairness, omnipotence, omniscience, grace, mercy, etc. forever all that is good. (today's Bible reading: Psalm 8... lol jk, but i am just mentioning that Psalm 8 basically says that the universe glorifies God) I won't claim to know why God does everything He does. I know some things about God but certainly not all. Personally, it makes sense. Wouldn't it mean more to you if you had a wife that actually loved you and chose to love you and therefore assisted you, as opposed to a wife that was programmed to obey you and therefore assisted you?
  5. i believe i obeyed God in offering the truth to others as i believe He has presented it to me. I leave it up to you guys (and i leave it up to God) if you will be changed by it or not.
  6. and sorry Hades, all i can offer you is God as portrayed in the Holy Bible. i can't generate a faith you can believe in for you. that is your decision. at least you are open about this subject though, i appreciate that a lot
  7. oh, i didn't know what you were talking about (i was thinking current events) so you are right about that. He created "correctness" and "correctness" is what defines Him. If you have a different definition of "correct" then i believe it is wrong (i.e. i believe God's definition is right since everything He does defines what "right" is, lol. sin/incorrectness is all the things that that are apart from Him.) That's why He doesn't change His policies... they were right evermore to begin with. However, in expressing your grievances it makes it easier to cope with His commands; and you need to understand that He hears what you are saying to Him and He cares. By telling Him these things you are entrusting Him with your feelings and i believe only good can come from entrusting God with things. Jesus can't lie! It is not in His character to do so, therefore He won't! See below \/ James 1:17 "Whatever is good and perfect comes to us from God above, who created all heaven's lights. Unlike them, he never changes or casts shifting shadows." One thing you might try is asking respectable christians you know about their personal experiences for why they trust God. You can always look at the Bible and see that God never breaks a promise. Democracy is not necessarily "Biblical", it is just a form of government that you deem fair. Say there was a fair ruler, that was always fair, then wouldn't that be the best government? The ruler would know what "fair" was and nobody could change the "fairness" of his choices. If somebody came along and had a different idea that was not fair, he wouldn't accept that unfair idea. Well God is always fair like that, and He doesn't tyrannously control your life, but He offers the right choices to you, regardless of the fact that you know it is right or not. I point you to the passage in the Bible that i told you was your favourite: Romans 9. If the god you believe in is not omniscient, then i wouldn't trust him either, that would be very stupid. like blindly following a random king that did whatever he wanted and didn't know that much. God is different, since He knows better than you do about EVERYTHING and He consistently does whatever He wants as long as it is "right", since that is all He does. Again it comes back to the trust and faith thing. How can you know for sure that God is totally correct about everything? like i said before. examine followers of His Word that are actually obeying Him and see. I also want to ask you to examine your own heart and see what you feel. How can you deny God? agh, i give up for now, i mean, if we can't agree on that then it is kinda pointless for me to keep rambling on.
  8. I enjoy KOTOR's fighting system, where you can pause it whenever you want and do a type of turn-based strategy for a little bit, then switch to real-time and let it simulate, then go and give orders again. or you can just let it go all real-time undisturbed. i like that. turn-based is too unrealistic since you have 1 of the 8 combatants doing something while the others are stuck in a perpetually 2-frame animated "ready-stance". But Kalfear, i agree with you when you say that the developers need to be focusing on the story. that is usually one of the special feature that makes RPG's unique from other games. Also, parties are a must with RPG's for me. i hate it when there are no parties...
  9. "He was flying with his wife, who during the incident ran frantically after him, allegedly shouting that he was bi-polar and had not taken his medication." poor lady couldn't keep pace with her husband. that, or her frantic screaming was unintelligable.
  10. #1- I don't find harm in the fact that pantheists have little or no interest in conversion. #2- i was not claiming that all should come to "my" truth because it is the only right one. i'm not so arrogant as to think i am totally correct in all my thinking. #3- I said humans are lazy because i was referring to the fact that some people know they are probably not right but they don't attempt to change that. to me, that is disturbing, but whether it is because they are lazy or for another reason, i don't know. i just attributed it to laziness because that was the most logical reason i could think of. #4- "People that spend time attempting to understand life's mysteries tend to have a little deeper understanding of those around them" i wish more christians would do that too. #5- you when you believe you are "right", it takes extra self-control to not force your thoughts upon people #6- if you thought you were "right" and you didn't force your thoughts upon people, then you either think that forcing your thoughts won't help get your point across, or you aren't very convicted of your belief. so assuming most christians are insensitive, we can infer that they at least are very convicted that they are "right". however, i am not limiting the reasons people have for doing things into two different choices, but i think in general this is the case. #7- no, "of the hearth" is not very intimidating to me no. if i could kick my god's butt then i wouldn't think much of his power and i obviously wouldn't think he was right. so why he would be my god is beyond me. God never said that... however, i am not so dense as to only refute you with that stupid response. if you think God is doing a poor job, he does not punish you (that i know of, in the Bible...) He will not cast you into hell if you think he is doing a bad job. i believe that God wants you to express your feelings to Him. Heck, just read Psalms. A lot of them are people feeling that God needs to do something different about certain things. i will take this as humour, because what else it could be escapes me. Jesus is omniscient, like you even say yourself, so who the heck needs a jury when they are judged by Him? Jesus does the job better than anyone else could. No one else is capable of it. You can't impeach God because you didn't elect Him and He doesn't give you that option. trust Him, God knows what is best for you and everyone else. He is not willing that anyone should perish. "omnithatjazz" Reveilled, revealed here is your new favourite passage in the Bible Romans 9:18-22 So then He has mercy on whom He desires, and He hardens whom He desires. What if God, although willing to demonstrate His wrath and to make His power known, endured with much patience vessels of wrath prepared for destruction?
  11. that is very unfortunate if it is true. but even if you are mentally unstable, that is a mighty fine delusion to entertain. i mean, there are some things that are believable, for example "i saw a gremlin on the wing of the airplane. He's trying to bring us down!" but saying you have a bomb and seeing all the marshals come to you and tell you to stop and then you start taunting them by going for the "bomb"? i don't think so.
  12. The reasons this man had to claim that he possessed a bomb elude my mind. When they shot him, i am sure they weren't trying to kill him right off (the article said "wounding the man"). and i think they doubted the fact that he had a remote, since he was reaching for his bag. there is no excuse or good reason for doing what he did. that is too stupid and the marshals responded as their training advised them to.
  13. luke 15:1-3,11b-31 Then all the tax collectors and the sinners drew near to Him to hear Him. And the Pharisees and scribes complained, saying,
  14. anyvays. i will leave now. sorry again about my editing. but just look at it like this, you guys are pointing out a fallacy in my belief and i want to make it right. (Wednesday=Onsdag... interesting)
  15. 1. lust is in our nature because we have a sinful nature. 2. we are obligated to do good, so it shouldn't count for us. doing a sin does count against us though, because we are obligated not to. 3. i totally edited most of the points you are speaking against as you were making them. sorry. 4. REALLY SORRY. I WILL MAKE IT A POINT TO HAVE IT TOTALLY RIGHT BEFORE I POST SO I WILL NOT WRITE ANYTHING I WILL HAVE TO EDIT!!!!
  16. i don't know exactly what God will do to them. but i edited my post again and said this, "And like you guys have been saying, how could Jesus judge them automatically as total sinners? Doesn't make sense for a gracious God. so i will just leave with the fact that God is gracious and omniscient and will judge the babies accordingly." edit: and baptism for babies is more of a catholic thing. i don't see how throwing water on a baby will absolve them from their sins in God's eyes it would have to be a decision they made on their own. and since they can't really make it yet, how do you think a gracious God will judge?
  17. You do realise that the idea of humans hanging out with god would be akin to you hanging out with a bunch of ants for eternity... Nice to see you can pick and choose whatever interpretation suits you , just like all the other creators of their own religions. In some circles what you just said would be considered a heresy and thats a fast track trip to hell if ever there was one. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> um, no. even catholic theology agrees with what i said. and i am sure any fundamentalist christian group too. this is just stuff you don't hear often because either #1 people don't want to give you the time of day to explain it, or #2 they don't know themselves, or #3 read the bible and see for yourself if you are so incredulous! EDIT: i edited the post i did before this one and a few posts happened since then, so in case you thought you read it all... i ask that you would go back to read it again, since i don't want to post the same thing over and over and become annoying.
  18. When i am saying death, i refer to after you die on earth and come to judgement before Christ: you have sinned and are penalized by eternal separation from God in a pit of fire where satan is going to go and will suffer along with all other non-believers and won't be the king or whatever of that hell. which is a stupid misconception. here is a verse that shows why one should accept Christ so that we can be saved after our life on earth. if you read this in context, you will see that it is making the point that i am claiming it is making. but i hope you can trust my use of scripture as 'in context' since i have done it many times and wouldn't use it otherwise: 1 corinthians 15- "If we have hoped in Christ in this life only, we are of all men most to be pitied." (because it would be pointless! since He wouldn't be able to save us for eternity! however, he can, so no worries.) Also, you couldn't lock everyone up from birth unless you believed that you are God's supreme hand of judgement. lol. and you wouldn't be Biblically based if you believed that. God will judge us with the same standards we judge others. Matthew 7:2- "For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you." But search your heart. you know you have sinned don't you? haven't you ever done even one of the following: lied? stolen? lusted after a woman? coveted another's possesion? Used the Lord's name in vain? very hard to believe that you are that rightous. A court won't matter when you are before Jesus in the end. He is the only judge that matters. As for babies, they are born into sinful nature (sorry about before when it just said "sin") because of Adam. Adam was an idiot and sinned, but we would've all done the same thing. we already have sinned and we aren't in his position anyway. here is a verse that supports this: 1 corinthians 15:22 "For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive." Yeah, it seems unfair that we are condemned to sinful nature from birth, but then there is Christ, through whom all can be made alive, so stop complaining and start believing (jk about the last 6 words, but really, why would it be so bad to accept Christ?) Some people try to make cases for babies who died at an early age saying, "God knows what they would've done in their life". And like you guys have been saying, how could Jesus judge them automatically as total sinners? Doesn't make sense for a gracious God. so i will just leave with the fact that God is gracious and omniscient and will judge the babies accordingly.
  19. i must not have specified: Jesus died for the faithful, which is the means by which the faithful are forgiven!

    X3... Xmen

hopefully while they are milking the dead and rotting corpse of this franchise they will include banshee and gambit as leading characters so we can say they had our favourite characters and they totally messed them up. it'll justify our dislike of it even more
  21. uh, sorry for triple posting... but one big long edited and spliced post is harder to read i think. In answer to the question: God is just. He has laws, we broke them, we are guilty of death. God is good. He provides a means of salvation for us that we do not deserve. What part of this is not good? the fact that God won't say, "well i gave you free will and you disobeyed me, so i guess i will just take my law and screw it." No, instead, He has Jesus satisfy justice for our sins. (a prayer i felt compelled to write) thank you Papa for loving us enough to have your son live a perfect life and die a painful death. we don't deserve it, but we greatly appreciate it. please help us to return thanks to you in our obedience by loving you and loving others.
