Actually, speaking of voice-overs, NWN did not have recorded dialogue for all conversation lines, so you have to wonder if OE is going to do voice-overs for every dialogue message.

Just be careful about flaming...

Repetition in games basically drags the storyline flow. The purpose of having movies is to be able to show the parts of the story which is beyond the ability of dialogue in conversation to describe. Simply slotting more CG movies into the game other than what is necessary to show transitions from one place to another, the introduction and conclusion is basically confounding. The other thing about movies is to allow blending within the story which would otherwise be very short dialogue lines. This type of movies can be shorter than usual. One example is like Dantooine's enclave before and Dantooine's enclave after the Council has gathered.

For everyone who feels that K2 was lacking in its ending. Reason why you liked that character.
-
That's a bit like the Vader throwing Palpating into Death Star's core effect.
-
Basically, K1 used grenades in quests. Like the one in Korriban in Ajunta Pall's tomb (not sure about the name), where you had to blow up an obelisk to get to the sarcophagus. The rancor one was also a quest, more like a potential trap. (Almost like undetected mines). If you recall the two special grenades which were found in Naga Sadow's tomb, special cold grenade and special fire grenade. The cold one was the thing that was needed to freeze through the acid pool. K2 basically used explosions, in fact overused them in the permecrete detonator quest for Mandalore. Almost all the explosions in the game, especially the one on Korriban where there were Thorium charges in a crate inside the Sith Academy were put on the sidelines, and yet none of them appeared really useful. Almost like discarded toys. The only one place where I found explosive detonations or charges harnessed quite adequately was in the destruction of the Ravager. That was quite spectacular, especially since the explosion effect of the Ravager was integrated into a CG movie. Add to that the musical score was done, giving it a class of its own. The mass shadow generator on Malachor, unfortunately was not adequately explained and about how either the Exile or Bao-Dur used it to detonate the planet. The effect where Kreia gets hurled into the chasm below the Trayus core was actually the Vader throwing Palpatine effect into the Death Star's core, but was not enough to trigger Malachor's destruction. So, coming back to K3 after all that, if (whoever gets to do K3) massive explosion effects were integrated into CG movies, that would be something that goes well apart from having lots of dialogue lines in the game, as a grand culmination of having played through the game. In my opinion, this kind of effect would go into the conclusion, and used only once throughout the entire game, otherwise the purpose of doing it is gone. The other thing about explosives is that if they are chained together, where one explodes after another, it can be quite laggy and excessive. Usually, charges placed sparingly in key points in the game would present it much more neatly.

Kreia - When battle is upon us, I suspect our minds are prepared to shield us from the pain. Is that what you were referring to?

Yes. Sometimes we see long postings just because they feel so strongly about their opinion. Is it really necessary?

Update on content patch please OE

And maybe PNJ after that. -
Teehee. I guess so. Vaxen, concept art is art that the designers of a game draw/paint etc, to decide whether they like ideas they have put forward, and general art that depicts what the game will look like. Here's an almost official definition. It's not requesting for art to be made the way you want . Im sure there would probably be someone in one of the art threads willing to do that. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well then, they would have sketches of certain things in the game. I assume that those include those sketches that you see when K2 is being installed.

If there is anything that side quests can give, its experience, sometimes without having to bash your way through fighting. Actually, Nar Shaddaa had quite a few sidequests that you had to complete. The only way to get the Exchange's attention was to do those quests. Now there was not any other way to go about it. In fact, Nar Shaddaa was crammed with so much of that.

Actually the crate contains explosives which can be opened with Security, if you did not bring anyone in the acedemy with that, you won't be able to leave until you face Sion. You can then use the charges to blast open the Mandalorian weapons cache on Dxun

By the way, which Darth Traya are you referring to? Kreia or Atris?

Full DS Influence with Bao-Dur
vaxen83 replied to Jedi Guardian's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
The thing about Bao-Dur is that, regardless of whether you are DS or LS, he will still simply follow you almost regardless of what you do. Almost like Disciple in that sense. -
Asking about having your lightsaber to be returned merely opens up different conversation choices. None of the dialogue options will allow you to get it back, only that the options you choose move you towards either light or dark.

Provided your save throws are high enough.

TSL Restoration Project: Work in Progress
vaxen83 replied to Aurora's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Consider it almost like patch 1.0c which OE wanted to release for restoration of cut content which LA did not allow them to. -
Visa's lightsaber looks more like an Olympian torch (Looking at the top of it)
-
What kind of art would you expect then?
-
Yes, with Kreia in it. OE never got to completing it and its a question of whether they have it. It would be amazing to see Dark Kreia in a sitting position, meditating while her three purple lightsabers were circling around her. Shows a different side of Kreia with the Force.
-
Actually, Sentry, if you decided to draw Kreia surrounded by her three floating purple lightsabers (and with her severed hand intact), it might look just as nice as the other art pics that have been shown in this thread.
-
If Kreia were against Malak, he would be much faster than her. (Age catches up even with Sith/Jedi) I suspect that Malak may win because of his agility and dexterity. Besides Kreia's sight has atrophied, Malak's missing jaw does not really affect his fighting in any detrimental way.
-
Well then, who would you match Kreia against? Ideas?
-
You can get more information from the K2 guide written by Dan Simpson at http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/xbox/game/920194.html

I think what it meant was that, depending on your alignment, either LS or DS, you would get a different ending. If there's one thing, there is a movie which shows Kreia being hurled off the Trayus Core into the fathomless chasm below it. I think the option to get this movie is your last choice if you decide to dispose of her body. You don't have to save her, because whether you do or not, she ultimately ends her life after the fight. If you played DS, the ending movie shows a view of the Trayus Core still intact. LS is when the Core collapses and the Ebon Hawk speeds out of the way of the erupting explosion.
