  1. Hey Man (Now You're Really Living) - Eels Do you know what it's like to fall on the floor, And cry your guts out 'til you got no more? Hey man, now you're really living! Have you ever made love to a beautiful girl, Made you feel like it's not such a bad world? Hey man, now you're really living! Now you're really giving everything, And you're really getting all you gave! Now you're really living what This life is all about! Well, I just saw the sun rise over the hill. Never used to give me much of a thrill, But hey man, now I'm really living! Do you know what it's like to care too much 'bout someone that you're never gonna get to touch? Hey man, now you're really living! Have you ever sat down in the fresh cut grass, And thought about the moment and when it will pass? Hey man, now you're really living! Now you're really giving everything, And you're really getting all you gave! Now you're really living what This life is all about! Now, what would you say if i told you that Everyone thinks you're a crazy old cat? Hey man, now you're really living! Do you know what it's like to fall on the floor, And cry your guts out 'til you got no more? Hey man, now you're really living! Have you ever made love to a beautiful girl Made you feel like it's not such a bad world? Hey man, now you're really living! People, sing! Do you know what it's like to fall on the floor, And cry your guts out 'til you got no more? Hey man, now you're really living! Just saw the sun rise over the hill! Never used to give me much of a thrill, But hey man now I'm really living!
  2. I like all the Blur I've heard but that isn't too much. Song Nr. 2 tends to come back into my mind often, though.
  3. Over And Over Again (Lost & Found) by Clap Your Hands Say Yeah But as I was writing this it switched to The Trooper by Iro- Wait. If you don't know this, what are you doing breathing my air?
  4. I like things that sound different. I have some country too, but not too much, and no discernable artists. Oh, and Nirvana should be on that list too. EDIT: And Gorillaz EDIT EDIT: And Oasis.
  5. Here goes, in no particular order, a bunch of crap: Metallica Iron Maiden Guns n' Roses Aerosmit The Beatles Orgy Disturbed Godsmack Evanescence Eels Modest Mouse Pantera Non-Rap KoRn Midtown Blind Guardian Dashboard Confessional System of a Down Straylight Run Rammstein Red Hot Chili Peppers Led Zeppelin Weezer Incubus Staind Janis Joplin Black Sabbath and a ****load of orchestrated movie soundtracks(which I refuse to call classical just because of their instrumentation)
  6. No, not exaclty, but here's one of theirs that is(incidentally, it also seems to be more popular than most of their work, causing all the indie kids to go 'larghalb they sold out I hate them now because people like my old favourite band so I shat my pants!' Modest Mouse - Float On I backed my car into a cop car the other day! Well, he just drove off. Sometimes life's okay. I ran my mouth off a bit too much, oh what can I say? Well, you just laughed it off, it was all okay! And we'll all float on okay! And we'll all float on okay! And we'll all float on okay! And we'll all float on anyways, Well, a fake Jamaican took every last dime with a scam! It was worth it just to learn from sleight-of-hand. Bad news comes, don't you worry even when it lands, Good news will work its way to all them plans. We both got fired on the exactly the same day, Well, we'll float on good news is on the way! And we'll all float on okay! And we'll all float on okay! And we'll all float on okay! And we'll all float on, alright Already, we'll all float on! Now, don't worry, we'll all float on Alright, already we'll all float on! Alright don't worry we'll all float on! And we'll all float on, alright Already, we'll all float on! Alright, don't worry even if things end up a bit to heavy, we'll all float on alright! Already, we'll all float on! Alright already we'll all float on Okay! Don't worry we'll all float on! Even if things get heavy we'll all float on! Alright already, we'll all float on... Don't you worry, we'll all float on... All float on...
  7. I hate that song! Not because it's not good, but because it gets stuck in my head in a most annoying way! I can never get it out! Anyway, here's my latest entry I used to be part indie, but then Modest Mouse sold out! I love this song because it's just so damn WEIRD. That trumpet Modest Mouse - This Devil's Workday Lyrics All those people that you know... All those people that you know... All those people that you know, Floatin' in the river are logs. I could buy myself a reason. I could sell myself a job. I could hang myself on treason. All the folks I know are gone. All the people that you know... All the people that you know... All the people that you know, Floatin' in the river are logs. So I ate the wedding cake 'Til the whole damn thing was gone. And I'm gonna drown the ocean. Now ain't none o' that so wrong? All the people that you know... All those people that you know... All those people that you know, Floatin' in the river are gone! Gonna take this sack of puppies, Gonna set it out to freeze. Gonna climb around on all fours 'Til all the blood falls out my knees. All the people that you know... All the people that you know... All those people that you know, Floatin' in the river are logs. Well, let's take this potted plant to the woods and set it free! I'm gonna tell the owners Just how nice that was of me! I could buy myself a reason! I could sell myself a job! I could hang myself on treason! Oh, I am my own damn god! HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!
  8. Here is a song I ended up not liking much at first but loving now. It's by the band 'Disturbed' which most of you will probably write off as stupid angsty nu metal, but hey, angst is good for the soul. It's from their new album, Ten Thousand Fists, and is called Overburdened. It's a song about the soldiers that died fighting for a wrong cause. It really surprised me how much their new album is more like rock than metal, and that they forsook most electronic crap. Nice to see that some bands see the light, even if ever so slightly. I'm looking forward to their next offering. "Hell is still overburdened I must stand and wait in line I may never know for certain when will be my time? How was I considered evil? Pleasures taken in this life. Someone granted me reprieval Decades spent in strife... Chorus: Led to nothing Repeated in my mind Led to nothing If only I was born another time Hell is still overburdened I must stand and wait in line Hell is still overburdened Now have I been living some damned eternal lie? It's the closing of the curtain In the play that was my life Now this chapter's left for open tragedies in time I was fighting for a reason Holy blessed homicide Seems I have committed treason All I've sacrified... Chorus: Led to nothing Repeated in my mind Led to nothing If only I was born another time Hell is still overburdened I must stand and wait in line Hell is still overburdened Now have I been living some damned eternal lie? Hell is still overburdened I must stand and wait in line Hell is still overburdened Now have I been living some damned eternal lie? Bridge: Fate is so unkind. Now I should have known. Blind leading the blind. Reaping all I've sown. If it all amounts to nothing. Why, then, am I staniding in this line? Hell is still overburdened I must stand and wait in line Hell is still overburdened Now have I been living some damned eternal lie? Hell is still overburdened I must stand and wait in line Hell is still overburdened Now have I been living some damned eternal lie?"
  9. Legalized where I live. Never cared.
  10. I don't know where this is from, but if it's supposedly in some religion, I doubt humans following it would call it 'arrogance'. Instead, they would probably call it 'pride'. All I got.
  11. BOOYAH at your Brachios man.
  12. I wanted to say 'I guess that makes me feminine' but then I realized I have none of those skills.
  13. I link music to things a lot. While I was reading through the archives of webcomic General Protection Fault, I had just gotten the Iron Maiden album Dance of Death, and listening to it now constantly reminds me of their storylines. When I played Beyond Good and Evil, Modest Mouse was constantly playing in the background, so playing that makes me want to put on Float On. Stuff like that.
  14. Now, I can't argue with Spiderman 2 and Empire Strikes Back, but Die Hard 2? I found Die Hard 2 to be the worst of the series, return of William Atherton be damned. Personally, I would have used 'Terminator 2: Judgement Day' as an example. ... Book: More Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy books. Alas!, R.I.P. Douglas Adams. Webomics: MOVIE PUNKS GODDAMMIT. I was tossing up whether to use Terminator 2 as an example, but you can't beat the first one, even though it originally was filmed in mono! (Arnie has only ever played one bad guy.) The film, much like The Matrix, was low budget but good SF. Die Hard 2 is a pretty solid film, regardless of your personal tastes. I mentioned it mainly because it made more at the box-office than the first one. (Go figure that one.) Additionally, the Hitchi Hiker's books were pretty pointless after the original trilogy. Mr Adams, himself, didn't want to write anything after that, and I think Goodbye, So Long, and Thanks For All the Fish was not good enough to entice me to read the fifth book. (If the author doesn't really want to write, then it's just not going to be good.) Try reading Dirk Gentley's Detective Agency, I think that's a great Douglas Adams book. I liked Terminator, but I prefer the second one. I didn't really like the bogged up romance in the first, and as a whole, it just less impressive, Arnie being the only standout in the movie. Also, many of my favourite movie scenes ever come from Judgement Day, scenes I have treasured since childhood. As for Die Hard 2, I always thought it was more of the same with a lesser villain(of course, I consider Hans Gruber to be one of the best villains I've ever seen, so that's fairly easy to do). I found Die Hard 3 did interesting things with the characters that we hadn't seen before(not in this franchise, anyway). Also, Jeremy Irons is villainlicious despite having to box his way up again Alan Rickman and being handicapped by not appearing the first half of the movie. I personally liked So Long, And Thanks For All The Fish a lot myself. I though Fenchurch and Wonko the Sane were excellent additions to the cast, and the returning cast excluded Zaphod, which I don't mind, because he annoyed the hell out of me(though I do believe that was the point). Mostly Harmless, though, was a major disappointment and disregarded a lot from the earlier books for random things(there's even a character named Random), and the many pieces just didn't fall together at the end at all(unlike the previous stories). I only liked the happy robot, and only because it was the ironic antithesis to Marvin.
  15. This is a little off-topic, but this guy looks more like how I imagined Prostetnic Jetlz Vogon in the The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series than any alien ever would.
  16. Now, I can't argue with Spiderman 2 and Empire Strikes Back, but Die Hard 2? I found Die Hard 2 to be the worst of the series, return of William Atherton be damned. Personally, I would have used 'Terminator 2: Judgement Day' as an example. Movie: Dog Soldiers. Or perhaps School of Rock, a 'where are they now' with a sadistic streak. But mostly, I want to see more of the silly antics of 7:35 in the morning. Game: U*four*ia or Little Samson. Yes, I'm talking about Nintendo games. At least those were entertaining. Eh. Knights of the Old Republic. And as much as my brain says 'how the **** would you do that!?', Baldur's Gate. Book: More Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy books. Alas!, R.I.P. Douglas Adams. Webomics: MOVIE PUNKS GODDAMMIT.
  17. Because the installment of such a thing would require 'effort'. It would probably also require going outside. *hiss*
  18. I'm typing this while I'm lying on a couch on my dad's laptop. I haven't moved from this spot all week except for toilet breaks, hygiene and food.
  19. I'm the laziest seventeen year old this side of the milky way.
  20. I still think it's hilarious they changed their name because they didn't want people to think their music would still be the same. I heard one song and even the singer doesn't sound too different from the old one.
