I got that movie recommended as one of the funniest laugh out loud comedies of all time, so it was pretty disappointing for me.

I am tired of every thread here going offtopic, turning into bitching and moaning about how you guys will not buy a game with DRM or a D&D game based on the 4th Edition. If you feel the need to vent about that, do it here. Stop hijacking perfectly good topics about other games that sometimes don't even have any connection to either of these things.

Watched The Dark Knight again. I am surprised at how much more I like it the second time around, though I think they bungled on the ending. Also, am I the only one who thought Aaron Eckhart's performance was just as praiseworthy as Heath Ledger's?

Has anyone read the Artemis Fowl novels? Is he up to Douglas Adams' standard? Well, I bet he can do the goofball humor because that isn't too hard. In fact, every now and again I read the Hitchhiker's series and suddenly I'm spouting off the same goofball stuff all over the place. What the hard thing is about Douglas Adams standard is making plots that make sense and characters that you care about while doing the goofball thing.

I'm sorry. I just get annoyed at geeks projecting their social inadequacies on other things because it reminds me of how I used to before I could actually talk to people without Y chromosones. I think the romance was forced because you forced it on it. Seriously. There is no romance. Mistaking a hint of attraction that goes nowhere for "romance" is probably why that Asian chick is walking past you with some other white dude in the first place. The "romance" in this movie doesn't even get to the level of buying a chick a drink in a bar. (Also, you guys seriously need to read Journey To The West. Sun Wukong is a classic character of Chinese literature.)

I'm quite oblivious, I never notice these things. There are only two girls I KNOW who had a crush on me (both at the same time too, and I only found out later). They were both good friends of mine and we hung out a lot after classes (this was in high school). Now, Girl A had a crush on me, and I had a crush on her, but both of us were too wussy to do anything about it. However, we had both told Girl B, whom I realize now had actually actively tried to get me for herself because she also had a crush on me, but I never reacted because I was still pining after Girl A. Goddamn me. If I had played my cards right I could have had a menage a trois.

Don't forget to add some Neverending Story to that mix. I loved Forbidden Kingdom though. It entertained me so much. I watched Mr. Woodc0ck. That was not so entertaining. Gillespie must have gotten lucky on Lars and The Real Girl, because this is not nearly as inspired. 2/10, but only because I enjoy seeing Seann William Scott get psychologically tortured.

Elementary. We had fun getting the hiccoughs together due to the sea air on our field trip to an island.

Funny, on my copy the game breaks if I DON'T update NWN before installing MOTB. At least, the NWN 2 campaign. Because the Shard quest doesn't work. Sadly, NWN 2 is quite buggy even now. I can't help but feeling sympathy for Obs, seeing it was the first game they made with an engine of their own. I know enough about the game industry that making engines is tough ****.

All the criticism here is moot, really. Everybody here is a obviously a hardcore or semi-hardcore gamer (otherwise we would not even BE on this forum) whereas Spore is obviously a game designed to be part of the new wave of games aimed at casual gamers.

My brother's been playing the Galaxy Edition for over a week - his pre-order arrived nearly a week before release.

Also if I remember the DVD sold like hotcakes, which is as good a reason as any to make sequels.

Yeah, it's not bad. Not bad at all. It's like a combination of the good stuff from their career. After the abomination that was St. Anger I expected poop, but I was pleasantly surprised. Still, it's no Master of Puppets or even Black Album.

Interaction with fun characters, a story told in a way that compells me to play further. Party-based games prove or fail with me based on how fun their NPC party members are.
