Speculation on the Jedi Masters
Master_Vrook replied to DAWUSS's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Personally, I think the big 3 should have kept the Exile around as his ability to make connections to people through the force would be a great help and serve the lightside of the force. The fact that the sith can track him means nothing when the Exile brings the fight to the Sith actively while at the same time using his connection to gather many planets to his side, almost like a never ending battle meditation that will work to lead valiant followers to the light and gather the whole galaxy up in arms against the Sith. -

Exile: This could be the most dangerous chapter of our lives, crew. Therefore I need as much help as I get. I'm bringing two of you. Mandalore: Are you sure? I have a whole army of Mandolorians you could bring, or you could bring the entire crew of the Ebon Hawk. Hell, you have a small army of supporters on nearly every planet. There's the rightful rulers of Onderon, there's the Khoonda Militia, the TSF, and the Jedi Masters. But hey, it's your call. Freedon Nadd's tomb is only guarded by about 200 force wielding Sith. Exile(ignoring his statements): Heh, heh... Nadds. -
Do you believe Kreia is Arren Kae?
Master_Vrook replied to Sikon's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I always wondered if Arran Kae was the same Jedi Atton killed. -
How could anyone defeat Kreya?!!
Master_Vrook replied to vessum44's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Why doesn't Kreia have to stick to turns while doing that? She can keep doing it even when it's my turn to roll! -

[Exile is in the Korriban temple fighting a fierce battle with Darth Sion and the Exile pounds away at his defense with dual sabers and makes several critical strikes against him causing him to fall to the ground nearly dead] Kreia: Exile, get out of there now! This is not a battle you can win. Exile: Are you sure Kreia? It looks like I have him right where I want him. Kreia: YOU ****ING MORON, GET OUT OF THEIR NOW! YOU CAN'T WIN THIS FIGHT, HE'LL JUST HEAL USING THE DARK ENERGY! Exile: He looks pretty beat to me, maybe if I erode his will in several contests of words intermingled in combat I could easily overcome him after about... oh, lets say... four brief duels. I can heal too you know... Sion(lying in a pool of his own fluids): Please... kill... me. Kreia: JUST GET OUT OF THERE. NOW. Exile: Your the boss. [The Exile promptly disengages and leaves the temple obviously hurt and defenseless. Sion gets up and promptly acts as though he won for the cutscene that begins] Sion: I will break him one day, and he will die, and I will just keep killing and killing until my master's hands are drenched in blood. Sith Assasain: He's right there in our hands, we could just follow him out and easily kill him. Hell, he's limping out of here, I can just grab my blaster and shoot him right now real fast. It'll take but a second- [sion force crushes the Sith Assasain] Sion: My master taught me well on how to defeat a helpless opponent. I see the Exile has undergone the same training. She has taught him aswell. The irrationality is strong in that one. [Outside at the Ebon Hawk] Kreia: You have come here and accomplished nothing. You could have been killed! It's a good thing I got you out of that mess, without my help who knows what horrible things could've happened? Exile(Deviously through gritted teeth): You're absolutely right, Kriea... [The sound of a lightsaber igniting goes of and Kriea's head rolls across the floor] -
Was Revan the ultimate Sith Lord?

Vrook dialogue on Dantooine
Master_Vrook replied to Luke Skywhacker's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I find much of what they said confusing, I caught pretty much all their words, but I don't get why they'd be so scared at the fact that the Exile is a wound in the force and the fact that I form bonds and connections through the force yet I used it for good and not evil. I used my connections through the force to help the ravaged planets touched by war throughout the game, aiding in the restoration projects, helping the refugees and restoring peace and stability to Onderon and saving Dantooines feldgling government, some that all of the Jedi Masters were very proud of individually but when they gathered, they punished me for my lack of patients and apathy. They said that my ability to connect to others in the force would some how make the Sith stronger from all my feelings and emotions at Malachor. This is where it stops making sense to me and they say I'm responsible for the Sith seeking out the Jedi through the force and killing them. Someone needs to explain to me how the two are related as I can't draw any reason why the Sith devouring planets through the force is related to me being light-years away from the Republic living out my exile. -
What's cut is cut and nothing can change that. Every game has things that were cut, even the precious and pure KOTOR 1 I'm sure.
-
Yes! My fellow newb supports me! I did like the paralell it drew from ROTS and the optional Sith Academy slaughter in KOTOR 1. I thought it was about time the Jedi got to do some damage for a change.

[i know the following will do irrevocable damage to my reputation here even early on in my stay at these forums and will have other judge me as completely tastless and most likely demonstrate a severe misunderstanding on the games mechanics, but here it goes] I just like the fact that the ease in which you slay throught the Academy testimates to your characters strength and it feels like you've accomplished something. I leveled up all the way on the Star Forge and the Dark Jedi still kicked my ass no matter how many stimulants, implants, belts, gloves, robes, fully upgraded sabers and armor I used in any combination and found it to hard to save their Force powers and for the most part my party and I was at their mercy when they used the force to attack no matter how leet my Will was. I had to put the game on easy and even then it was a close call. When I finally got to the bridge and Malak complimented me on making it past his defenses, it felt empty because I'd hardly made it through at all and not without several deaths. With the Academy I felt a little pride knowing that I actually got myself there without having to overly exert myself on someone who the real threat would consider a peon. I don't just favor it it in gameplay, I also think that it isn't a fragmented and deeply flawed level like everyone seems to suggests(on a forum devoted to the developers no less) and it captured exactly what it set out to capture, a great, lifeless void full of despair yet also a place of closure. Personal disputes are settled like the Mira-Hanharr subplot and the droids' own little diversion into the storyline and Traya finally getting revenge on all the Sith Lords using the Exile as a tool. P.S-This isn't me speaking out just because I played The Academy more recently, I just finished the Star Forge yesterday for the second time and I still believe it to be inferior then Malachor V.

They probably wanted to introduce more realistic and practical ways for quick transit in the form of guides and shuttles.

You guys are just biased to say the sequel sucks, no one is willing to admit the ending mirrored the KOTOR 1 ending. First you fight through wave after wave of Dark Jedi and Sith and their turrets and the you hack and slaughter your way to a warm up boss who reginerates him/herself, you have repeated conversation to erode will, then break their spirit and then you face the final boss. People are just shooting themselves in the foot when they try to bash KOTOR 2, not only did it have identical final segments, it did them better then KOTOR 1 did and managed to actually make your character feel as though he had some strength in him so that the most powerful force user in the galaxy doesn't die at the hands of two Dark Jedi henchmen.

It's never really a big revelation in the game. He doesn't say it out loud but they have the same voice and they both call the Republic stagnant.

Exile:Why exactly is the man with a black hole for a soul and an insatiatable hunger for death wait his turn to fight? He slaughtered an entire world without hesitation! ----------------- Exile:Why did that Hobo I just killed have Ulic Qel Dromas robes of infinite power? And why didn't he use it against me? -------------------- Exile:Why are the people on this planet so erratic? Every time one of them walks into me it looks like they can get stuck for hours! --------------------------- Mandalore(to kreia before going to Iziz):See Kex over there, he was once a common thug working for some mercenaries.(Kex types away at the air infront of him as though he didn't here a thing) He's never been quite the same since that blow to his head when we rescued him. ------------------------------ Forgive me if they don't make sense, it's late and I had a bout of inspiration.

Rots makes Obi-wan the most heroic by far. The way he stands on the docking ramp like superman saying "Let her go, Anakin" seems to embody the possibility that he is probably one of the last sources of good in the galaxy in a time where all is shifting to evil around him in the hellish atmosphere of Mustufar.

Kindly walk up to Traya and ask her to give you a prestige class, silly. -
About Atris being Traya, after unlocking some dialog I found her saying alot of things Traya will say later on in the game. It made me think about whether or not Kriea some how made her think she was. Now I know for sure at one point she was supposed to have the same role.

Do you think Kotor Was A waste?
Master_Vrook replied to DARTHPON's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
The best damn waste of time and money I've ever experienced. -
After talking to the Mandalorian Engineer who is typing at the console at the Dxun camp, he turns to me and starts tapping on my character's breasts as though he's still typing. It looks a lot more like he's trying to unbutton my robes then anything else. This rather creepy glitch also happens with Atton. His constaint typing at the air while having a huge rifle carried gingerly inbetween his fingers is just too odd looking to ignore.

I don't have the PC version and I'm not willing to mod my Xbox and get banned from live for some robes. Am I going to have to kill Hssisss for three hours?

The most exciting/horrible moment in K2
Master_Vrook replied to <SP's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I still cling to hope that that absense of the force thing meant it could reversed with a little bit of Force healing via Chodo Habat... They were only cursed to see as the exile had, which meant they lost the force, but could be regained and thus become stronger for it. If you're lightside that it.
