  1. I offered him a free copy of full release a long time ago, he had no interest. He wants BG3, and he knows Eternity will never be that. It is not Baldur's Gate 3 he yearns to play. It is the experience of playing Baldur's Gate for the first time. /Zahua I don't even know who Sensuki is, but I think this right here is now my favorite post on the forum. Well done, sir.
  2. I really should do that - for some reason when I have aphasia, the word 'aphasia' is always the first to go. A card that says 'I am not having a stroke, I just need to lie down in a dark room until tomorrow' could come in handy for those times my vocabulary spontaneously vanishes. I take other meds that preclude any serotonin-altering drugs, and nothing else seems to work, so I just have to put up with the occasional outbreak of weird lights, temporary blindness, aphasia, photo-sensitivity and general confusion. Lucky for me mine are 'silent' migraines so the pain is pretty much the only symptom I don't get. I'm sorry to hear that. I can't imagine how difficult and uncomfortable it must be handling something like that on a daily basis. Hope it gets better - for both of you guys.
  3. Isn’t that something every Eoran god can do, though? For example, there’s Woedica messing with the system to get Thaos reincarnated as Thaos every single time he comes back to life. I can’t help but feel that diminishes Berath’s claim a little.
  4. Berath doesn’t really control death, though. If we’re to continue using Faerunian comparisons, he’s more like Jergal: a glorified accountant who just wants things to proceed according to the schedule and without unneccessary disruptions. The fact that his job involves the dead is rather irrelevant, and out of all the Eoran gods he’s probably the one with the weakest claim to his domain - after all, the Wheel is a separate natural phenomenon. It’s not like he can decide to keep it from turning or anything. Speaking of “turning”. The Wheel itself is a confounding thing. It’s interesting how virtually everything and everyone in-universe uses that term as if it were a physical (or at the very least perceivable) object. In the finale, Thaos - a guy with firsthand knowledge - even goes as far as to describe the souls seemingly being materially ground to nothingness with subsequent “turns” of the Wheel. Sure, the name and the concept of “The Wheel” are probably meant to be a metaphor, but in a setting where we know for sure that certain gods have different names and incarnations depending on the culture, the fact that everyone in the world appears to have an ubiquitous way of naming and describing the process of reincarnation... well, it makes you wonder.
  5. "My son, I am sorry for the lies I have told you these past few seasons, but Skaen demands secrecy - even your mother knows nothing of my furtive service to The Quiet Slave. Curse my name if you must, but never weep for me, for I die for the betterment of our community, to smite our lord's corruption from the face of Eora! Tomorrow my master chokes on his own whip, for tomorrow, I become the Effigy!"
  6. Missed the opportunity to go for an Uruk-Hai pun, smh It was an Uruk-hai pun, I just typo'd UrukHart. Oh...my bad. I feel dumb now. Sorry, carry on.
  7. Missed the opportunity to go for an Uruk-Hai pun, smh
  8. I seriously don't get why people dislike prestige classes so much.
  9. Because everyone needs a buggy shooter with an hour of whining at the front? And the Internet Contrarian Prize goes to...!
  10. No. No no no no. Nope, not happening. Don't even think about it. Not in this game. Just no. No. How about prestige classes?
  11. Is this an Avengers: Infinity War spoiler? Heh, no, I stole it from a Triumph The Insult Comic Dog video Oh. So, you mean... Well, at the very least I'll die the way I lived.
  12. That's easy; doesn't really need a separate thread. You just have to kite the smaller banana drakes around, preferably with Eothas in your party for tank duty.
  13. Hello! I just wanted to say that the project is looking very promising, fingers crossed for you guys. I really love the old Eastern European science-fiction theme you have chosen for your game. Reminds me of Stanisław Lem a lot.
  14. No Star Trek: Bridge Crew, Shady?
  15. Got any links to that? I'm curious. Unfortunately, it’s kinda tedious to link them all individually. If you scroll back to 2/1/17 in his feed you should be able to find the threads It's still a start. Thanks! EDIT: Okay, I checked all the hotspots outlined by Chris and... I don't see anything scandalous in the contents of the interview? What's so terrible about, say, the fact that Feargus doesn't lose sleep over what could have been (specifically, missing the infamous 85% Metacritic bonus)? Am I missing something? EDIT 2: *doesn't lose sleep. I accidentally swallowed a word. Regardless what Feargus actually thinks about that lost metacritic bonus, his nonplussed attitude about it always struck me as a "we are happy and willing to work with publishers." They don't want to go around burning bridges because other publisher's might take notice, and often publishers want to run things in their interest. So it's best not to scare them off by overly high standards. Tis the unfortunate reality of an industry built around luxury products. Yes, all you nerds are lucky to even get to play games. But... how is that bad? I mean, unless I'm mistaking the tone of your post. All I meant to say was that the interview seemed fairly normal and level-headed. Which makes Chris' insistence on pinpointing things that weren't really conveyed there very strange and confusing to me. (For the record, I agree with you. Also, on an unrelated note, I had no idea that Obsidian was initially supposed to develop Human Revolution. Huh.)
  16. Uh... what? I’m sorry, but even putting Chris and Obsidian aside... what? Is this a sermon? Are we in a church or something? I don’t want to come off as disrespectful, but this just sounds so... bizarre.
  17. I see Stellaris and Warhammer Fantasy, I’m a happy man.
