  5. On rails Fable...
  6. MINECRAFT :D
  7. It could be really interesting. I hope they give more details at E3 and that they also support Kinect on the PC, although that's probably a long shot.
  8. I'm quite surprised that there hasn't been more of a push to get a FPS with a subscription model. There was that game Planetside back in the day, but the shooter market has skyrocketed since then, and I think blending Call of Duty with an MMO is a pretty decent recipe for success. I'm guessing it's just a matter of implementation, so this is probably a little testing the waters before a full blown MMO shooter. There are plenty of Free to Play "MMO" shooters. I have a hard time calling most of them Massive Multi-player though as they usually don't have an open world, just set matches like traditional shooters. There was a subscription FPS MMO, All Points Bulletin (APB), that came along and died shortly after. It has since been resurrected with a Free to Play model and is now in open beta. In the future there will be Firefall which has both an open world and arena matches. Planetside 2 is also in development. As for a Call of Duty MMO... maybe that's what Blizzard's Titan project is
  9. The 360 DSIII demo is out on Tuesday as well. The PS3 and PC plebeians have to wait until June 7th though.
  10. A format for which nobody manufactures drives and the licensing body of which has been shut down? I wouldn't call that exactly "viable", I certainly don't believe that M$ would start using a proprietary disc format, requiring special drives, which is what HD DVD would mean. Or if they did, it would be a pretty radical departure for them. I believe Toshiba holds the license to HD-DVD and somebody would manufacture the drives if MS put in an order for them - why isn't it viable? If they develop their own somebody would still need to manufacture the drives would still need to pay licensing costs for it to be compatible with DVD's.
  11. I'm drawing the opposite conclusion here. Sony's overengineering the PS3 is what cast them down form the PS2 heavens in the first place. It's not like replacing 2005 with 2013 alone is necessarily a bad idea, and one that M$ is going to automagically beat. They're the one who're in the RD clamp now, anyway, their disc format is insufficient and IMO digital distribution of 20gb+/game isn't yet viable. Not sure if it's going to be in a couple of years, certainly not in the scale they would need to do it. HD-DVD is a viable option (up to 30GB) if Microsoft really wants to avoid Blu-Ray for their next console. I really doubt they will develop their own proprietary optical format from scratch.
  12. Idea 1 - a) Right Click on the Drive and select 'Properties' b) Find and select the 'Security' tab c) Make sure that that your user name or group has the 'Full control' permission checked Idea 2 - Although it's not very common some external drives have a physical switch that will set them into read only mode. Idea 3 - I'm stumped
  13. That poor kitten E3 isn't that far away and if there's going to be a big reveal for Agent any time soon that's the place it will be.
  14. There are plays where the audience plays a large role in how it develops, are they not art? There are art installations that require interaction and make the user(s) the center around which the piece revolves, are they not art? http://www.mam.org/act/index.htm
  15. The girl helping you out (forget her name) can keep you healed up really well. Before the battle tell her to be defensive/heal you (can't remember the dialogue either). When you get low on health just jump around and run away from the enemy until she pops off her spell.
  16. I stalled out at level 8 when the story dried up and my only option was to grind enemies/instance missions.. either way this game doesn't take long to show that it's still a MMO at heart. Unfortunately there wasn't anything to do except combat. It features open PVP which isn't my cup of tea but if that's something your looking for you'll probably enjoy it more than I did. Does that mean that you reached the end of the storyline or that it wasn't all available on the beta. I'm sure there are more story mission that activate after a certain level. I just wasn't interested in trying to get to them if the only way to do so was through a lot of repetitive combat. I joined the Genides, the Tyi might be better fleshed out.

  18. The Witcher 2 uses Securom. CDProjekt announced some time ago the the Witcher 2 wouldn't use any DRM if you got it from GOG -- instead they were planning lawsuits against the pirates. Has this changed in the last few months? Edit: Just saw the story than non GOG distributions will have SecuRom.. bleh You could also just download the crack and use it on your legitimately purchased game -- although that's always a bit risky because of all the fake cracks/trojans.
  19. Not really. It has an Atom processor and an Ion 2 graphics processor (think netbook/htpc specs) so it can only handle low end games. It's really nothing more than a fancy (ugly) case for a low power computer.
  20. For anyone who wants to be completely spoiled here's the ending of the Arrival DLC on Youtube:
  21. Here it is: http://www.gamespot.com/pc/rpg/mass-effect...ival-daily-demo
  22. Bulletstorm really missed the boat with multiplayer. DNF looks like it'll have some fun modes but with only 8 player support it seems like it'll be a disappointment too
  23. Books don't have interactive sex scenes. Neither did the game.. Or did I really miss something in the romance? But you all want it, don't deny it! A A A A A A A A A A.... YES!
  24. There is no competitive multiplayer. Here's all it has currently: http://www.gamespot.com/pc/action/untitled...p;mode=previews
  25. I took a mage the second time through the demo and picked up healing and one of the buff spells. It went rather horribly when I got to the ogre. The healing spell sucks (60 second cooldown...) and my cool mage sister with the only good damage potential in the group went and offed herself, leaving me along with two lame warriors who might as well have been swinging sticks. I used up all 6 of the health potions I collected earlier and barely survived with only two characters hanging on for dear life... on my third attempt When I had gone with a bow rogue previously the battle was a breeze, same with an elemental mage on my third run through. I also had a lot of issues with the interface. It would constantly flicker and would often not respond to button clicks properly
