  1. I finally did it with 6 members at level 5. I killed her, but I required advanced strategies, (two fighters on each side, trap placement, luring, pre-slicken, pre-fireball, pro-micro). This just shows the insane gap between classes/builds. I had no burst classes and Aloth with his low MIG and 1 cc spell lol. I really need to get in on the Cipher/Rogue and Adventurer hype train. I didn't want to though.
  2. What level do teir 1 spells become encounter based for Wizard? Can anyone confirmed this yet with a high lvl Wiz?
  3. I killed leyra and her sentries, quest updated normally and I was able to turn it in to Wyla for completion and xp. Seems like it can be bugged for some people.
  4. lol wow i did it some how...must have had a lucky rng streak. I had to cheese tho, get 4 ranged in a corner super bunched up and send in the 2 tanks really slowly stealth as much as I can. then spam aoe on tanks. two people died but we won. I wish i was a Cipher instead ranger now, so much lack of utility. I still want to know what level exactly this was supposed to be for
  5. I tried everything you guys said, it's not working. I face rolled everything up until this point. But in this battle, the damage is too much and the damage I dish out isn't killing even 1 of the Sentry's before we die. I have 2 fighters, a wizard, a priest, a ranger, and chanter. 4 ranged 2 tanks. The fight starts as soon as I get close to the coffin, So we end up all stuck at the door. The damage of the wail sometimes out right kills mage/priest lol....This instant death. So is this for level 5? Maybe this is the issue (under leveled). If not, I must have missed some epic items or I have a glitch/bug going on.
  6. If she is level appropriate (5), then I just give up lol. The game straight up isn't for me.
  7. On NORMAL! Is level 5 too low for her? My party first all gets stun-locked by her scream. Then she does some fireball and her melee/soldiers 1 hit each person if I make it through that AOE nightmare. To make matters worse it's in a tiny room that has a huge coffin in the middle, which auto-starts from dialogue allowing monsters to all run up to your party. I've never died or had trouble before this.
  8. Replaced Aloth with gun Cipher. Game got easier, as expected. I wouldn't mind a mod that makes the first 1-3 WizardSpell tiers encounter based from level 1. I think that would make them competitive with Ciphers, which they currently are not. Or alternatively, buff wand blast and arcane-assault or something.
  9. At first I could barely do normal. Now I'm breezing on hard. It's all about character-build/party-build. Two pure tanks and 4 pure ranged well behind them usually demolishes. Ranged do nutty dmg with Chanter reload buff. And then theres the 6 chanter group that laughs at PotD.
  10. Don't wizards teir1 or 2 become per encounter at higher lvl or is that not true? I can see slick and the ice field being amazing if so.
  11. People say at higher lvl wiz/druid low lvl spells become per counter? Is this true and at what level.
  12. having a Cipher in th egroup makes my game easier so far. Especially if you do the quick-switch blunder cheese.
  13. I heard it was good in beta, is it still good now? It uses BleakWalker and slow/big damage gun/crossbow I think. Which weapon exactly would be the best? If its still good, what is the best stat spread for such a build, apart from maxed MIG? The talents/skills are obvious. I heard maxed INT doesn't increase paladin aura too insanely, so how about Dex pumped after MIG?
  14. I decimated all IE games on highest settings. But I just couldn't do hard or even normal PoE with the builds/spells I chose. The game is a bit different, doesn't mean we suck. Never played beta and just have some reading to do. My new play I'm doing better now after learning what stuff actually does.
  15. I would get a 2nd unkillable tank to compliment Eder. (Wild Orlan Fighter/Paladin/Chanter). Have everyone else be ranged. Have one of those ranged be a quickswitch Blunderbuss Cipher.
  16. I wouldn't really call someone bad for expecting this game to have the combat of IE games... (especially considering the games look) He just has to adjust and realize it's not really like those games. There is no real companion AI/Scripts and you have to power build a bit more, and have tanks/heals.
  17. Yeah the party makeup and builds in this game seem like they have to be very very tight compared to the IE games. I want to try to make a 6 chanter-tank party tho lol. All with summons. Do the song auras stack tho?
  18. Ya its just my silly build that's all. I'm talking about the big wolf pack in the area where you recruit the Priest. I do the encounters just fine, its my terribly made PC that always is dead at the end tho Fighter seems a far better tank though, but If I go dps-monk creating wounds seems like a pain. I think I'm going to try a better class.
  19. I use the 9 DR armor atm. My resolve/perception is a bit low tho but I wanted to get hit a little for battle-forged. It's probably my fault for trying a weird build. Wtb save-editor lol. Thats what I get for not just making a simple sorc or ez ranged cipher/chanter.
  20. Look at some of the steam achievements. Beat the game with resting under 10 times. beat it by killing less than 175 creatures/NPCs, beat it with no members hitting 0 endurance etc... I made a tank monk, dies in seconds on normal against wolves. I've restarted 3 times. I even put maximum Con this time for 19 and I'm still the first one to fall flat on my ass. I've read up on guides and I'm a pro at these type of games so I'm extra frustrated.
  21. I'm having similar issues. I rolled through BG1/2 on hardest difficulty. Hell I solo'd it on some builds. But this game on normal I'm just getting destroyed. It seems your build/party has to be quite a bit tighter and more controlled in this game. Gonna have to keep restarting until I find out what's good.
