  1. I hope devs are seeing this, we agree almost all with including a little animation for when summon ends
  2. Dude, it is just a visual feature, there is no need to have the secret of the universe behind that to be effective. Disappearing without any animation or fade out looks bad, that's all.
  3. I put graphic on first place when talking about videogames and i missed a lot of games (expecially indies on steam) that i could enjoy only cause of that. beaside of that, i think that POE looks awesome tho, and i don't really know in such an isometric game how 3d would improve the visual over 2d
  4. This. Death animation or just a simple fade-out would be enough.
  5. In the last streaming there was a scene in which devs summoned a skeletons army, it was pretty nice but when the fight ended, skeletons just disappeared without any kind of animation: it looked pretty cheap and weird. I would like to see a sort of fade-out animation to improve a little the visual of the scene
  6. Portoguese can be more common but...how many of them have even a pc? that's the question
  7. I remember when the game was just announced, there weren't any found or screenshots yet and i was already excited. It seems yesterday lol, time passes fast I feel old now. And sad. Wtf death will come soon (and maybe a Poe2\3\4 in the process at least)
  8. Sry for being such ignorant but....what the hell is a paint over?
  9. Ehy Kyosque, consider that POE wasn't supposed to be transaled in italian in the beginning and italian language didn't figure at all on the avaiable languages; after a very, very long (about months) medieval-like siege by italian community to developers, they finally decided to include italian language in the game. So, maybe the same "trick" would work even with you portoguese friends: just raise catapults and balistas )
  10. Josh was sleeping hard after an hangover and he didn't wake up in time for the stream i guess :-P
  11. How can people complain about the game not being in 3D when the project was clearly inspired by Infinity Engine games. It's like waiting for a new Ferrari and complaing when released because it is a sportscar and not a truck. I purchased POE and i was excited since announce because i really wanted an isometric rpg with beautiful handcrafted 2d areas, if i wanted 3D modern style i would just go for Dragon Age: I and ignore this project. However, i have an high end pc and i consider graphics pretty important in a game, but beaside that i always thought that 2d backgrounds are visually better in terms of details and art, old games such Temple of Elemental Evil are still nice to look even in 2015, while 3d games get old after a couple of years, visually talking. The only things that should be in 3d even in 2d games are the characters, for better animations and physic. There are also isometric 2d\3d Hybrid examples that are really nice, such as Diablo 3.
  12. The game looks really good, backgrounds are gorgeous, the only weak part i saw till now is the first district of Defiance Bay, it seems so empty, lifeless and without personality (too much grey). The second district (the one with the keep) do much better in terms of visual
  13. Old games were different, translations quality increased over years; Now the videogame business is lot larger then before, developers are spending more and almost every game (excluding really low budget indipendent ones) is well translated by professional thrid-party companies in the main languages. For example, Skyrim (more recent than Oblivion) was perfectly translated (and voice-acted) in my language. However, i don't know who's taking care about translations in Obsidian but i guess we can trust them PS: Publisher Paradox did not translate any product in my language before, POE is the first one, i feel lucky : - )
  14. Lol, first time i see that world map, nice. I noticed that Vallian city names remind me a lot some of our cities, for example "Cirrara, Ancenze and Selona" seem ispired by "Ferrara, Firenze and Verona", eh eh
  15. Need to know how many maps had the first Baldur's Gate for a better comparison
  16. I think that same extension as Baldur's Gate 1 would be enough for me
  17. Well, i don't like romances in RPGs because i always like to play female characters (female-wizard always been my first character in every RPG), so everything feels so weird when some brave guy character starts flirting with my heroine :-P
  18. It would be interesting to know how many hours are needed for a full playthrough, excluding the 2 extremes such as rushing the main quest or exploring every single angle.
  19. Can we have a preview of some battle tracks? The one on last Pax was pretty epic
  20. What we should expect? We saw a 5-districts big city, the Dryford village e some wild areas plus that awesome heavy protected fortress on the last pax. How big will be the world? how many areas we'll get to play in?
  21. Agreed! such RPGs (even DA:Inquisition, King Bounty, Amalur) have a really powerful main theme that identifies almost istantly the game. One of (if not) the best example of this is the first Diablo and its main theme known as "Tristram". Older examples are SuperMario or Tetris
  22. To be honest i'm more charmed by that sort of "tribunal room" showed on the video preview, first time i see that environment, so nice
  23. Visual is still a lot better than no cycle at all. Only-sunny games are visually boring and that was the reason i'm waiting to play Divinity until they'll mod or patch it with an aesthetic cycle, and the reason because i had major disappointment in playing Dragon Age Inquisition. Raise an high density city on the last Simcity title, wait night time and then look how the only visual part has an huge impact.
  24. Dunno why, but a lot of modern games erased completely the day\night cycle feature despite their old counterparts... For example Ufo:Eu = Day night cycle Xcom:Eu = No cycle Diablo 2 = Day night cycle Diablo 3 = No cycle Dragon Age 2 = Day night cycle Dragon Age 3 inquisition = No cycle and there are a lot of series that didn't provide any day\night cycle at all in any release: Heroes M&M series Almost every 4x game Anno series etc. Seems like developers DON'T LIKE or just IGNORE such a beautiful feature I'm Glad that PoE has it, even if not gameplay changing, it is still a must-have feature for the general atmosphere
  25. From what I seen there are allready very few people around the city. After the living city at Divinity: Origin Sin. My expectations have risen aswell. Divinity Original Sin doesn't have any cycle tho, and this was a major disappointment considering that the graphic engine can manage it pretty well.
