Well at least im not the only one going through this :/ ok I found a way around it (for me anyway) even though I have windows seven it seems to fix the issue if I set it to run in windows 7 compatibility mode

The game just came out if your willing to wait im sure there will be patches to fix the issues your having (if there not from you end). If your not a backer im sure steam/gog would give you a refund.

Is there a way to edit or delete posts? I wanted to edit my post (#86) to remove the edited pic. I assumed the poe portrait pack would of have artists approval. But after reading though this thread I would rather not be murdered in my sleep by some angry artist that didn't know that there pic was in there if it didn't :/ . Can a mod help with that maybe? I am but a lowly internet dweller that wanted to help others have a female godlike portrait plz do not sue me

Pillars seems like the perfect excuse to feed my mountain dew addiction. So probably a just a bottle of that....Or a case...or two.

That is sad news. One of the reasons I got myself a large tower and put the parts in myself. I can fit any mobo, processor, power supply out there into my case. I've been down the road of getting pre-built PC's with special, unique parts in them before and raged when I couldn't replace them without buying a whole new computer. Your processor doesn't meet the minimum requirements. That's bad news man. That's what you'd think, but I've seen a stream of somebody with my exact processor running the backer beta just fine with no problems at all. So I don't know what's going on. Yeah alot of system requirements are a hit or miss. My crappy hp laptop can run games I have been told it would never be able to even start. And then hasn't been able to play games the I meet the recommended requirements for. Seriously I can play heavily moded skyrim but when I tried to play a slender game my laptop crashed

Well damn I really hope I can run this at least I had a bit of a chance before :/ I'm getting a new laptop in five months anyway. But it would really suck to have to wait that long to play the game.... guess I'll find out tomorrow.

Nope. I don't get the stink over this since they never promised early access nor hinted that there would be one. Backers already get perks that non-backers get. So they are basically complaining about not getting something there where never promised? Oh ok that makes all the sense /sarcasum

Did the kickstater even say backers get the game before anyone else?

Oh not this again Go read the Kickstarter FAQ. We are actually entitled to what was promised or a full refund. What's happening here is people who did not necessarily back are going to get access before us. Thats how the world works man the reviewers/press get the games first to review them so people will you know.... buy the game...

Gog just because I am lazy and was already signed into my gog account. So I pre-ordered it from them

I have never been able to play as any of the small races in any game. And I wont play as a human if there are other races to choose from. In DnD games I usually play as a half elf or tiefling if given the option. So my first character in pillars is definitely going to be a godlike.
