  1. Look in the tech support forum- there are plenty of people who've run into bugs that made the game unplayable. Seriously, guys, I have zero incentive to hate. I've been behind this game (almost) since it game out. Almost since it came out? You realize that it came out just over 12 hours ago, right? Since it was publicly announced, I mean. I didn't back, because I didn't really have the money at the time, but I saved to buy it when it was released.

  3. Can't you just reassign stats anyways? I don't think race/origin/etc. actually ends up affecting things much, it just puts +2 stat points into a pool you can reassign as you want. I guess the only exception is for maxing out stats above 18.
  4. 1) I'm running an i7 4790K and a GTX 780. No way that random items disappearing out of my inventory, saves being corrupted, cutscenes refusing to load even after restarting the game, and random crashes (among so many other things) are the result of my hardware. I routinely run much more technically demanding games (modded Skyrim, Crysis, etc). 2) I don't actually know how Steam handles refunds, but I imagine it's not possible to get one and keep the game. 3) To the other question, this is the second game I would do that for; the first was Sim City, which was also unplayable at launch. 4) I honestly was thrilled for this game, and there's a good chance I'll come back to it in a couple months when it's working properly, but honestly it's such a mess right now I do feel like my money was badly spent. At the moment, I've played through the first part way too many times to want to do it again. 5) Looking at the tech support forums, there do seem to be a significant number of other people in the same situation.
  5. Honestly, no. I'm incredibly impressed by almost every aspect of the game- except I've run into so many bugs, from the minor and irritating (like sounds play on endless loop) to the game-breaking (crashes, disappearing items, cutscenes not playing) that I basically gave up. I'll come back to it in a few weeks/months when things are fixed.
  6. Not sure which forum is the right one to put this in (mods, feel free to merge/move), but I'm so sick of the game-destroying bugs that have necessitated three separate restarts, crashes, sound bugs that fill my speakers with noise from hell... honestly, I just want my money back and to go do something else with my time. Is that possible?
  7. I hate to sound like a jerk, but I've sunk like 8 hours into this game know and had to constantly restart due to crippling bugs. I can't get my time back, so maybe at least my money?
  8. I'm having the exact same issue, plus my grimoire disappeared. Also, I can remove the staff, give it to someone else, and have it permanently equipped on them. I'm actually kinda pissed; unless there's a fix, there goes 5-6 hours of gameplay. I really don't want to restart the game, but there's not much point in a wizard character that can't cast spells. Ugh.
  9. My wizards grimoire is totally, 100% gone, and the parasitic staff spell seems to have permanently replaced it. I'm about 5 or 6 hours in, and I'd hate to restart, but I don't have any saves before the problem, and I can't find a fix (resting or reloading doesn't work). Help?
