  1. Sorry to hear that, dude. Hope you get better soon.
  2. Care to help us out, Lou? I have no clue who anyone is! Oh, and I like, totally second Blank's request.
  3. Bravo! +500 TOMBS points. I suppose I should get your report finished. Only, have you considered the request my evil half requested earlier in this thread? He's been very sad about yours and Eldar's lack of responses.
  4. You made it up! Shenanigans!
  5. I think/hope he was kidding...cause Mical is one of the most annoying NPC's ever. His voice and huge teeth just made me want to force-lightning him to a crisp. Anyhoo, I think it's good they made the exile a female. The only thing about the female exile I don't like are her romance options. She deserves better than Atton and Mical...ugh.
  6. I thought I remember someone saying that originaly Mira was supposed to be a romanceable character for both male and female PC's. Anyone else here about this?
  7. KOTOR 1 all the way.
  8. Love's a complicated thing, Eldar. Best of luck to ya. If you were telling the truth, hope you come out of this alright. Hope God guides you and gives you the wisdom to make the right decisions, and so you don't hurt the ones you love. If you were lying, then **** you.
  9. O RLY? Cause when I checked it at Best Buy they were still offering it and its expansion together for about $30. (Then again, I haven't checked very many places) So either you're wrong, or Best Buy is robbing me yet again. I'd say the latter is probably more likely.
  10. That part I didn't mind...I thought it was a nice twist. (even though there's water in our atmosphere and for some reason didn't affect them whatsoever) My biggest beef was how the aliens had the technology to travel here, and yet didn't use any of it for the actual damn invasion. Heck, they couldn't even bust through a door. How lame is that?
  11. Meh. I think I'll just get it for X-Box. Mostly because my computer is a piece of crap.
  12. They made Peragus unnecessarily long and there wasn't anything to do except kill things. On Taris you had a dueling ring, a swoop track, and I think way more interesting side quests. Plus it was a much more lively environment and you met a lot of interesting characters. Sure it may have been as long as Peragus, but at least it wasn't nearly as boring. Peragus had way too much running back and fourth, and the whole "who killed everybody" mystery got old real fast. By the end, I could have cared less who did it. Just get me off this god-forsaken rock! And at least on Taris they did a good job of making it so that you actually needed to bring your NPC's along with you. I guess on Peragus you needed Atton to fly the ship, but I would have left Kreia there if I could have.
  13. Dang, I gotta get some new games. The only thing I've been playing is GTA: SA and old ones. Once I have enough money I'll probably buy AoE II, since it's the only one I don't have.
  14. Good! She was my favorite character in K2 Why do people even make these polls, anyway? Everyone knows Bastila's going to win every time.
  15. Bastila was bad at first in that respect (methinks that's what the devs intended), but she got way better as the game went by. And she was tortured non-stop for over a week, so her fall is a little understandable.
  16. Damn, that's tragic. Poor guy drowned according to the article. That's too young for anyone to go.
  17. LadyCrimson is now a mod! So um, congratulations. Now respect her authoritah! You all will show respect by posting cute pictures of cats as tribute whenever she bids! Hopefully she'll be [as good as] the mods that have been appointed in the past.
  18. It's that bad, huh?
  19. Yes. And I guess until we die, we won't really know for sure, will we? There is evidence for God, though a lot of it's abstract. Personally, I prefer evidence over faith. Then at least we can remove some of the barriers that separate the faithful from the rationalists. I'm always on the search for evidence. Then again, "blessed are those who have not seen, yet still believe..." Anyway, we may have to pick this up some other time. I'd love to stay and continue this discussion, but I have to sleep. I am only human, after all. ^_^ G'night.
  20. So...you're saying you base your faith on reason? Am I right? That is what I believe is the best kind of faith. Blind faith in my eyes is never a good thing. And anyone with blind faith can be led astray anywhere, as if they were blind themselves. So I too try to base my faith on reason.
  21. As in things we can't percieve, of course. I do perceive God, but indirectly. I see it in the world, in history, in people, etc. I also try to see where my faith has gotten me. Before I actually found my faith I was a different person than I was now. I believe I've changed for the better. And well, it certainly hasn't hurt me at all. In fact I believe it's helped me. Besides, we all have to take a leap in the abyss at some point in our lives. There isn't always a stone there that we can see to stop our fall.
  22. Empiricism is bashed where you come from? That's funny. Unfortunately, I'm part of the "faith-based" community. I'm very philosophical too, you know (my philosophy just happens to be predominantly Christian), so I do believe in some things based on what my heart, not reason, tells me. Unlike Judge Hades, I cannot empirically prove the existance of God (not yet, anyway), so that gives me a handicap in any argument. And as far as science has progressed, it still cannot explain everything. There are gaps which still has yet to be filled. Some fill it religion, others philosphy, others with reasoning. I simply try to fill it with what I believe is the truth. But therein lies another problem: what we sometimes might believe to be truth may in fact be far from it. And that of course is where faith comes in again.
  23. I never said your behavior went over the line, and I certainly don't think you have to be a brown nose about it. And I'm always up for talking, provided it doesn't degenerate to bashing, which happens hear often enough. Religion-bashing doesn't get me most riled, though it certainly doesn't make me feel all warm inside. There's a strong atheist/agnosic community on these boards, so of course we're going to see a bunch of that and double standards. What upsets me most is when people make statements or generalizations about anything, such as religion, when they know next to nothing about it. Hypocrisy is another thing I can't stand, another thing that happens hear all too often. Anyway, what's happening or what you think is happening in America aside, do you really think that it excuses a lot of the bashing that goes on around here? I don't think you do, but I could be wrong.
