I'm very against abortion, except in some circumstances, such as if the mother's life is in danger. The way they abort babies in some cases is just awful. I've talked to an abortion survivor who was crippled much of her life because her mother attempted to abort her. In fact, just last year, she was able to jump. Stem cell research has so much potential to help people, but how to get them is what poses a problem.

funny government/lawyer/judicial/political stories
Dark Moth replied to Dark Moth's topic in Way Off-Topic
Okay, thread title is still the same, but as said in the edit in my original post, this thread is now open for any funny government/lawyer/judicial/political stories, or anything like that. (this is just so a mod doesn't come down and prune or lock the thread) -

Well, that's a relief! I thought for sure Hydrogen was locking this thread for being off topic! (his story reminds me of the way people yell at airport security for profiling Arabs) Perhaps it really is time to change the thread title. But what to? Hmm.... -
Gabs is perfect nun material, don't you think?

Well, you should. You know, you might actually learn something. Not to use elementary school comebacks, at worst. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Think of my "comeback" however you want. Point is, you started everything, and it's your fault. You've sunk so low, you can't resist insulting Jodo any time he makes a post. The only thing I did in the first place was to try to get you to stop (maybe a little harshly, but hey). What I can't believe is that I actually waisted my time in doing that in the first place. I've already done enough damage to this thread by continuing to post in this stupid flame war, anyway. I'll be back when things have cooled down, assuming a mod hasn't locked this by then. Adios.

Here's my dirty secret: I'm against abortion... but for stem cell research!!
-
Didn't I tell you to shut up already? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> As if I'd actually listen to you.
-
But that's where we learn everything! ) I know I shouldn't have posted that, but it got me pissed of how Numbers just can't lay off of flaming another member and of course, shuts up someone who tries to stop him. The only reason I care is because he does it constantly (just look at the "dirty secrets" thread), just like last night. I just didn't want a repeat of the flame war again. Funny though, cause I ended up getting caught in it myself. " @213374U: He didn't "start it". His first post was just a harmless jab. Meta snapped back, Jodo responded, then you cut in with your usual round of insults.
-
You shut up, as5hole, because that's exactly what you're being. Is something wrong? Did your mom abuse you when you were younger? Do women reject you? Is that why you feel you have to constantly pick on someone? To make up for your failings? Or do you just enjoy being a prick? If Jodo started all this, I'd be yelling at him the same.
-
Didn't you guys (Numbers especially) take a hint from last night? Enough with the flaming already!!! It's not funny, and if you have nothing better to do than pick on other members, then you shouldn't even be on these boards. It's so pathetic how some people always have to be an as5hole to others just for the sake of it. This thread was close to getting locked last night, and the last thing we need is for that to happen again.

No, not appeasement...distraction!

Just give him a magazine full of Kreia photos and he'll be safe.

funny government/lawyer/judicial/political stories
Dark Moth replied to Dark Moth's topic in Way Off-Topic
I did some snooping on Google, and the 'arson' story has appeared in numerous places. From what I gathered, it might be an urban myth. But hey, even if it's fake, I still got a kick out of reading it. That's why I posted it in the first place. Sadly, yes. There was this one case where two obese girls sued McDonald's for making them fat. Thankfully they didn't win, but there have been cases like that popping up everywhere. Hmm...maybe I should change this to a "frivolous lawsuit" thread? -
Ironically, while I liked having new force powers, I ended up using mostly the same ones I used in K1 (stasis field, force lightning, knightspeed, etc.) with a couple exceptions, such as Battle Meditation.

Wow... I'd be her apprentice any day. (w00t) Only problem with it is the eyes should be blue. thanks for feeding the fanboys, julianw. :D

Saw this story in an e-mail I got today! Read it and see what you think. "A Charlotte, NC lawyer purchased a box of very rare and expensive cigars, then insured them against fire, among other things. Within a month, having smoked his entire stockpile of these great cigars and without yet having made even his first premium payment on the policy, the lawyer filed a claim against the insurance company. In his Claim, the lawyer stated the cigars were lost in a series of small fires. The insurance company refused to pay, citing the obvious reason that the man had consumed the cigars in the normal fashion. The lawyer sued

I didn't like the way they reduced some of the most important characters to mere cameos. Bastila was probably the most important character in K1, aside from Revan, and she only got a cameo with Carth and a holocron. Carth Onasi got only a couple parts as well. As for Revan, he was mentioned probably 1000 times in dialogue but only got a hallucination for an appearance. Then again, we were promised a lot of things in K2, only to be let down on a lot of them.
-
Does Revan's fate make any sense?
Dark Moth replied to Nur Ab Sal's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Which is why they shouldn't have included Revan in the first place in K2. They should never have made it a direct sequal to K1. Instead, they should have made it still take place in the Old Republic, but not in Revan's time. As much as I liked Revan, I heard about him in K2 so many times I was sick of it. And you can't say he 'sacrificed' himself again to the darkside to fight the True Sith. We don't know if he did that or not. All we know is that he's fighting the True Sith, nothing more. For all we know, he could still be LS. -
Looks like Darkside's about the right age to be Baley's new e-girlfriend. Also: Don't even think about it Ghostie. I know you'll mack on any female that moves (and even that's not a requisite my necophilic friend), but this would actually constitute pedophilia! Isn't Darkside a little old for Baley? " Hey, if GoA wants to gaze at naughty photos of Kreia or recently deceased females, that's his choice. We must all be respectful on these boards.

European or US? ^_^ <{POST_SNAPBACK}> (witch king voice) That ring belongs to Sauron, Gondor filth! Sorry, I just had to say that. I guess I'm acting my "shoe size" right now.

Ah...that must be why DL gets all the attention.
-
Are you serious? (w00t) It's cool, though. TMNT rock. And that's still leagues better than wearing a Spongebob Squarepants shirt.
-
You're not alone...

Not in mine they weren't... " I for one, like High School way better than middle school. 6th and 7th grades were probably my least favorite years ever. Ironically, the people in my grade seemed to get nicer as they got older (me included) . With a few exceptions, of course.

13? Wow...I thought Darkside would have been in her early 20's! Shows how good I am at guessing...
