the shoehorned love interest Quick time events if they are done badly When you are given a mundane task but you are required to go to mount doom and back then fly to the moon just to finish the quest (oh hammer for ZF I HATE YOU!) Games that make Swords more powerful than the gun Escort missions with an npc that's been hit so hard with the stupid bat that they think they are superman Valves infamous puzzle of electrified water and movable objects When the NPC MUST do everything... I mean when you are forced to walk all over creation doing stuff that in the real world would be dealt with by employees of the company or government you work for. Stupidly scaling bosses (Lost Oddesy's First boss required an hour of grinding to beat) Making single player be Multiplayer with AI fighters and a very tenuous connection to the story When theres a huge build up to a certain thing happening in the plot only to have everything turned on it's ear in the last 25% of the game in favor of somthing else. Invisible walls, common couldn't you at least give a fence or something? In FPS's forced use of a gun (Cod4 kinda did this in that if you used anything other than the M4 SopMod you had trouble with ammo) Making a complex system that the player MUST get perfect otherwise they will be screwed. (Hitman)

Tomb Raider is the next big one... other than that almost all the triple a titles have come out this season. well there is Left 4 Dead Legendary (I actually don't think this is going to be very good from the gameplay footage I've seen.) the New Need for Speed Sonic: Unleashed (Which actually looks pretty good but I'd suggest waiting for reviews) MK vs DC and thats all coming out this week. Gamespot.com actually has a pretty good release tracker.

I personally think that the secret service is going to work overtime to protect obama because of the fact that we have somewhat militant racists who probably lack the intelligence to know that attempted assassinations don't go well

in female news a woman has just hit 4 star general in the US Army http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/7730744.stm I'm scared by that smile.

The sith that appeared during the great hyperspace war were the original sith aka the TRUE Sith. They had been driven out of known space by the Jedi in centuries past (if I remember my Tales of the Jedi correctly) and ended up landing on a set of planets that were able to support life and indeed had their own inhabitants. Generations of cross breeding and political power struggles later you get Naga Shadows VERY swift rise to power and his subsequent attack on the Republic after being found by a pair of force sensatives. Unfortunatly the areas where this sith empire WAS has been found by the time of the Sith War with Exar Kun's involvement. Korribon and Ziost were two of the major planets in the Sith Empire at that time. From what I understand in Lore the Sith of the great Hyperspace war, the Sith War, the Jedi Civil war, and the Clone Wars, were all VERY different from one another. it's not that Sith remain between the ages but rather that their artifacts remain for new "scholars" to arrive and "discover" them and promptly become the new crop of Sith Lords. Their take on what they have to do as ordered by their artifacts or Ghost Masters might be completly different from the others, but the basic tennants are always the same because the Sith are ALWAYS power hungry and backstabbing. It's how they learned to survive. 1708 didn't have much happening. but in america everyone goes over at least somthing that happened in 1608 400 years ago. and that was when Jamestown had John Smith elected as Mayor, and in October a supply ship arrived to find a grand total of 38 people. We don't discuss what happened based on how long ago it happened we discuss it based upon momentus happenings. I think that the Jedi Civil war and related actions would constitute a chapter in a history book. My guess is that in the Republic at least the fact that Revan and the Exile dissapeared into the unknown regions is a simple historical footnote and nothing more will be said. IF they had anything happen with the Exile or Revan they'd have to define the character which would ruin it for fans because then Revan HAS to be X Y and Z for the story to work. Don't say that WoW hasn't changed because of the books and related material. Usually the books go over somthing that happened that had NOTHING to do with what was happening in WoW. And even then characters from the books were incorperated into the game world. Also the WoW Comic brought the humans back their king which is a pretty big thing considering it kills an entire quest line. Anyway, The Sith should have an emperor, it is an Empire after all. The easiest way to pick the emperor is the Dark Lord of the Sith. the Sith's leader has always been the reigning Dark Lord. I personally think that it would be stupid to say that the Sith entered a Civil war because of Revan mettling in their affairs. It would take him years to be accepted by the sith if he were following the Light path (as most promotions are based around the superiors death by the promoted). And I sincerely doubt that Revan will come back as the Sith emperor given he'd have to live 300 years which IMHO is quite stupid and it would again define revan. If you Define revan the amounts of Nerd Rage that will pour out from fans of Revan will probably kill one of the bioware writers. LucasArts has Axed their independent thought brigade of developers and probably wouldn't try to bring it back. They aren't even the primary developers on this project, Bioware is. Bioware makes the story and everything and lucasarts just rubberstamps it if it doesn't blatently contradict something that has already been published. From everything I've been reading Bioware decided that Kotor 2 was not worth mentioning. They've dropped it probably because it'd be hard to have a Jedi Order that's worth anything after it had been wiped out and rebuilt only 300 years before. Especially considering that a Sith Empire would have the advantage of Men and Material in a war with the Order and the Republic given that the republic had to recover from 2 Galactic wars within 50 years of each other. They might have been able to build back up but they had no real reason to given that their borders weren't being threatened by anything and large corporations generally hired their own mercs. I never played Matrix online or LOTR online but I did play Star Wars and it did tamper with the plot in the early stages. Originally there was a running plot line that went one way or the other based upon the actions of the players in the game. This died out pretty quickly because it was one sided the Alliances way the entire time. Meanwhile World of Warcraft has been advancing it's story pretty steadly for what it is. From the perspective of the game all the pre60 content was 2 years ago, the 60 to 70 content was one year ago (this includes the deaths of Kael'thas Vasj and Illidan) and he 80 content is current (with the return of the king of Stormwind)

actually I think that her smaller breasts are attributed to her life of excersize and the fact that the fatty tissure that usually makes up the breasts is burnt off... I think that's the biological reason.

albeit mass Effect doesn't have turns. I'd say Mass Effect if you want a deeper story and better writing and more shootery stuff. NWN2 if you want the deeper story and better writing but you want to get even deeper into the D20 systems.

So would the game be how Yhatzee hates it? The opponent getting perfect accuracy and cybernetic vision so they can hit you from the other side of the continental divide and you can barely hit somthing 3 yds infront of you?

Just finished applying to Hollywood and Blockbuster. I think Blockbuster has a better online "interview" than most in that it actually has you answer questions based upon what might actually happen in the store compared to the usual "Do you like being in large crowds?" crap.

2 things all of Yhatzees reviews are linked from the basic page http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/zero-punctuation at the bottom theres a page selector, assasins creed is on page 3 iirc. My personal favorite was the Medal of Honor: airborne review.

you have to say that she came off as a complete airhead when interviewed by Katie Couric. The more recent one by Fox seemed more scripted.

It is much easier to combat an easily demonized external threat, than to try to change the course of a 15000 lbs freight train on a dime.

I wish Lawrence Holland hadn't broken up with LA. MORE XWING DAMNIT!

I loved the death knight starting area but was angered when they didn't really explain what the heck made the DK's break from the lich king. I know it had somthing to do with Tirion Fording and his cronies but by the time i hit that quest the battle had already been done. I'll probably just look for it on youtube I'm LOVING my DK but am annoyed that the people who couldn't get WOTLK are camping in hellfire and killing all the brand new DK's just for kicks.

nonsense. you're completely missing what i said. i'm simply saying that i'm surprised it was as small as it was, not that it was small. given the media slant, and the lack of popularity of the "old guard" resulting from the GOP's inability to control itself the first 6 years of bush, i would have expected a much larger gap. oh, and 6% is really a misnomer in a 2-party system. it's really 3%, i.e., take just over 3% away from obama and give them to mccain and the vote goes the other way. just over 3 million votes. taks where the media seems to have picked up on the "OMG it's a HUGE win for obama!" when the actual percentage #'s were much closer to each other is in the electoral vote. I was honestly surprised when the talking heads on CNN and FOX and BBC (MSNBC seemed more interested in devouring itself than actual reporting) was that they were breaking it down by demographics and saying that X group and Y group were what really made Obama win when the popular vote seemed to have a much smaller margin of victory (of course now that I look at it it was relatively large in comparison to the last two races) I think fox actually did a better job covering the election on election night than they had before. They didn't show bias that I could see (except for Karl Rove making it seem like McCain still had a chance at one point when CNN had just done the math and basically said that there was no way for McCain to win without a miracle in one of the west coast states) and they made a point of pointing out that the race was too one sided that it couldn't be challenged in court. My guess is that their less bias reporting is for two reasons. 1) early on in the campaign season FOX made some bad remarks about Obama and his campaign and the campaign promptly shut off FOX's Access to the candidate and 2) I think FOX has suffered significant backlash after their calling the 2000 Election in favor of Bush (which put bush ahead) when the data actually didn't go that way. I would guess that some of their viewer base was alienated by that. As to reporting Bias? Fox is the easiest to point out because they only have (as guests) People who are to visible to be turned down, "Good" Democrats whos ideology tends to lean a little right of center, or People who don't have a political leg to stand on in the face of the Organization. I mean look at hannity and Colmes, You've got Sean Hannity, the republican who looks really well put together and his teeth practically twinkle when he smiles and he makes his bias known (because he's on a point counterpoint show) where as his liberal counterpart is a less than stellar looking democrat who tends more towards the center than the left. MSNBC is probably the most Liberal of the 24 hr networks. Olberman is the poster boy for their ideology. Admittedly I haven't seen much of MSNBC but from what I've read about his views and such he's the "Anti-O'Rielly" if you will. Of course MSNBC's anchors seem to hate each other if some of their national Convention coverage is to be taken as unscripted. CNN is probably the least bias but again I don't watch them enough to say that for sure. Their two Headmen (Blitzer and Cooper) attempt to maintain a neutral tone (whereas Fox's main Anchor, Dobbs, is the rightest person on Fox News Sunday) it's just that CNN's pool of analysts and talking heads seems to draw more from a lefty crowd. ... Just some thoughts.

This looks like it might be terrible but hen if they are only PUBLISHING the game then the game should be fine. I just hope that the Turtle till you feel the urge to steamroll your opponent aspect of the game stays there.

I did laugh at Colbert reporting on O'Rielly asking why the gay community wasn't protesting outside the "church of black"

I was taught by a Libertarian who would answer all the questions on stuff as if he was a republican through and through.

I was happy today, I found the fistoff (I think thats what its called... either that or Fisty!) it's a steampowered glove that hits really f'n hard. Then I tried to clean out the slavers from the Lincoln memorial.
