  1. I would have prefered more usefull BB's, because those two are more gimmicks for the story, not much for surviving combats etc.
  2. Brand Enemy + Gouging Strike still works until those damn oozes merge together and heal up to full health xd There is really no point in doing it without a achievement for more bb points. There should at least one for belranga in the game. Can not think, that there will be a combination of trial of iron and beat every mega boss solo xxd
  3. Yeah, this one was tough, but I was able to solo it on upscaled PotD with my Holy Slayer. You get to keep your food benefits, benefits of drugs taken before the fight, your pet benefits, the benefits of passive class abilities/talents, and modal class abilities. So Holy Slayer (which has lots of passives, and a regenerating aura) is a good choice here. You don't benefit from any equipment, can't use any consumables, can't cast any spells or use any active class abilities, so spellcasters are screwed. Here's how my fight went: I used Whiteleaf right before entering the arena, equipped a pet which heals you upon killing, ate the Honey Wine food, and had the Paladin's aura set to Exalted Endurance. Together, that allows you to regenerate a reasonable amount of health. When the fight started, I ran to the bottom of the screen, right to the left of the part of the platform that's fallen away, to limit how many of them could attack me at a time. Then I killed them off one by one, starting with the monk, then cipher, then running out to take out the rogue and then ranger, finishing off with the animal companion and fighter. (Again, the rogue's passives still work, which makes dishing out damage quickly a lot easier.) Tried it, does not work. I got 105 deflection and i die in a couple of seconds and deal nearly no damage at all. Wtf is this fight. Huh. Well I just tried it again, and beat it on my second try. One thing is there's clearly some RNG here -- on my first try I kept getting hit and stunned, and was down to a quarter of my health before I reached the corner. I then got cornered by the Fighter, with the Monk and Cipher out of range. The second time I made it to the corner with most of my health, and got cornered by the Monk and Cipher, the ideal targets. Also some weird glitches regarding when Persistent Distraction kicks in; sometimes it would kick in, and sometimes not. Anyway, as far as trying to find what the differences are, the most likely possibility is differences in stats and talents. Here's what I'm running with. Streetfighter/Goldpact, level 20 Deflection in changed form: 113.4 (20 Holy Slayer, 57 Level, 14.4 Deep Faith, 16 Large Shield, 6 Weapon and Shield Style) Stats in changed form: M 16, C 13, D 20, P 22, I 10, R 10 Passives showing up in changed form (omitting Berath's Blessings, food, drug and animal companion effects): Adept Evasion Bear's Fortitude Bull's Will Deep Faith Deep Wounds Dirty Fighting Divine Purpose Exalted Endurance Improved Critical Persistent Distraction Practiced Healer Retribution Riposte Snake's Reflexes Stoic Steel Streetfighter Uncanny Luck Weapon and Shield Style Anything on that list missing from the build you're running with? Yeah, i should have wrote that i play not with my holy slayer atm, i play with a thaumaturge and i don't get that nice passives. So i think, it is not possible with a caster class to do it, at least not on potd upscaled.
  4. Archivist of Kazuwari achievement Can you get all Artifacts before you do the battle royale and get the champion of the hunt achievement?

  6. Well, you can get 1-3 Adra Ban from the Belranga fight. You can do it as often as you want at the moment.

  8. Where you get morphed into a ironclad construct. It seems you can use nothing. Is that possible to do solo? Any ideas?
  9. I stole an Adra Ban from a townsperson in Dunnage/Radiant Court. I also stole a handful of Ruby/Emerald from that single map - real treasure trove. I'm on 3.1 beta, with (Loaded Pocket) BB. Edit: corrected the place. Would be interesting, if you could provide a screenshot of that townsperson, so maybe it is a new fixed location and not a random one. We could check that.
  10. Resolve is good for characters with much buffs on it, because arcane dampener targets will and resolve nets +will.
  11. It appears to be targeting Deflection. It deals Corrode damage in an AoE and the combat log doesn't really show that your buffs have been cleansed. I can't tell in advance when it's going to happen. Its other attacks: Symbiote makes smaller hostile black oozes appear. If you don't kill them, after some time they merge into a bigger ooze. Over time they keep merging until you get a gigantic black ooze almost as big as the megaboss and with only slightly inferior stats. It's a pretty hard fight. I can't seem to beat it with my habitual party. These are the megaboss's stats (I'm using the Higher Is Always Harder mod but it shouldn't matter, as I expect the megaboss to be a level-20 encounter): Hmm, with unbalancing strikes i can get it down to 137 reflex Is there a way to lower the stats, like it was with belranga?
  12. Meh, it targets reflex with the slash damage and fortitude with paralyze.
  13. That Talon scroll paralyzes him. It targets reflex, so if you can keep him paralyzed, he can not cast his debuff.
  14. Some options, will lead to a fight, but you definitly don't play on trial of iron, so you should just save beforehand. I only know, that shady is not that easy to get to max (i have 3/4 with my wael priest). There are a lot options for cruel / aggressive.
  15. What defensive stat does it target?
  16. Is that a DoT attack or does he just clear the buffs and then you can buff again?
  17. the challenges are just to make the game... more... "challenge"-ing the reason why there are no achievements is because a lot of people (including myself) complained about how some stupidly annoying challenges were also achievements in poe1. some people like to get to 100% achievements collected without having to: - triple crown solo - triple crown solo again after the DLC comes out because they added another triple crown solo challenge, but also have to kill all the dragons and bosses - rest less than 10 times. Stupidly annoying or just hard? They can implent a achievement for each challenge done. Even if you complete the game with 1 or 2 challenges, you get the achievement(s), you dont have to TCS with it. both. the pacifism achievement was annoying. The Ultimate was hard and tedious. magran's challenge, for example, is a challenge i never want to play (because I paid hard money to back a real-time-with-pause game, twice, not to play a twitch-click/scripting game). but i'm also a cheevo hunter. so if you made an achievement for magran's challenge i would go insane and have to play it just for the achievement. and there are plenty of people who are cheevo hunters and who may never want to touch magran's fires at all. i think that's why virtually all the achievements in deadfire are story based or simple things like crafting or finding things. It's allready mentionend in a thread, that there are such achievements in the future: https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/102955-probable-upcoming-magrans-fires-challenges-game-data-dive/?hl=crown

  19. Probably due to upcoming achievements. Would make those pointless if you can take X amount of challenges then take all the Blessing mostly negating the point of having X amount of challenges. -- What the devs should do is allow any combo as the players see fit (challenges/blessings/mods) BUT simply disable getting achievements if you do this--with an unskippable warning that is what's happening. Again, I'm guessing that there will be achievements attached to doing challenges when the game is completely finished with Xpacs released. -- Haha last edit! Anyways, with a 20 line OR LESS mod you could just give yourself a few hundred points in all attributes negating the point to, well, playing the game but it's possible therefore they took the route of disabling mods. I agree with mods, not with bb's. You have to earn them through achievements, so you have to play the game. It's fair, at least for solo play, when you can activate them with challenges and still get the achievements.
  20. No offense, but what are the challenges for, when there are still no achievements for any of them? At least it would net you mor BB points as reward, if nothing else.
