Melee combat doesn't "compare" to ranged in KotOR... it topples it over and has its way with it.

What if the ninja was carried into Europe by two African swallows? Who do you think the Black Knight was? Thats right, a ninja, and he was the lone survivor of a party of ninja. The french? Pirates, the well known, and formidable nemesis of the ninja.

Dungeon Siege II (ugh... this still considered a game and not a movie?), Fable, and Jade Empire added. As a request, anyone have official links to an Arx Fatalis 2 and Gothic 3 site? I can only find unofficial and/or dutch(?) sites for AF2. Only unofficial sites for Gothic 3.

More RPG, probably. It wouldn't be that difficult, since Silent Storm has no role-playing. However, MMORPGs are not my thing, so I really don't follow them.

OK... One would be my idea to have a sort of tag-team attacks option. More then just the flanking options and such, like the idea of combining spell-users to amplify effects of spells. For example, you could have two people cast a healing spell together, and rather then affect a single person, it could heal everyone in a radius, or perhaps rather then be doubly affective, it could be x2.5 better. Or you could even have spells which are only doable in teams, something like elven mythals we hear about in IWD1/2 and PoRII, where entire parties of spellcasters dedicate themselves to creating large-scale AoE spells. I know this can be done in Pen & Paper sessions, but I'de like to see it done in an RPG (Chrono Trigger did it to a limited JRPG type) with a complex spell system. You'll be hard pressed to get my more original concepts out of me.

Added... Though I must say, this game is in the same vein as Divine Divinity in terms of "poor alliteration titles."

Console RPG types are on the list. Black-9, for example. I originally included a statement: "I've omitted more well known titles such as The Fall, and Vampire." I suppose I could go through and put the more well covered RPGs up there, also. I still don't want to put MMORPGs up...

I have no desire to be a moderator here or anywhere else. The rest of your post is just what you've said 95 times without any proof, or support.

Karzack, what are we 6 years old? Don't piss on me, and tell me its raining. Don't tell me that "it isn't OK to be mean. This is a simple concept in black and white." The fact is, nothing, ever, in life, is black and white. As for me breaking the rules. *Shrugs* It apparently wasn't noteworthy to a moderator, administrator, or Obsidian employee, as I have not been warned. You disagree with C? Mods should be judged by popularity? Or is it that you disagree with these boards being handled well so far? Why, because you have been warned 2 times? Karzack, you earned it. You were behaving with childish, attitude. On top of that you were posting with the sole intent to hurt, or discredit other members of the board, even worse, moderators. "if I don't like it I can discuss it and try to change it." Not publically, unless a moderator or other staff give you permission, you cannot. Read the rules. This is not your property.

Karzak, the mere fact that you cannot get over this obsession withthe moderators, is getting really old. This is a serious issue, because YOU are making it one. A) If the people broke the rules in this thread, they have probably been warned. It is not for you to decide who has broken the rules. B ) Your reasoning is flawed. It is ok for people to vote no, but they cannot state why they felt Volourn should not be a moderator? If we're going to have an open election type thread, then open election discussion is necessary. If someone I was placed as a poll option for a moderation position, and people posted why they voted for me, it would not be a problem for me, whether or not what they said was "mean," it would show their reasoning. C) Mods should not be judged according to how in/famous they are, but rather how well they do their job. Thus far, these boards have been handled quite well. I know, personally, for many reasons. D) 2 people thus far. Visceris/Hades_One, and Volourn. E) It will say that the board admin felt the person was responsible enough to handle the position, and that the admin felt another moderator was necessary. This is private property, if Obsidian Entertainment wishes to have direct elect moderators, or appointed moderators, they can do it. We have only as much say as they allow. If you, I, or anyone else have issue with it, then you, I or anyone else can leave.

Spent the last hour or so reading and viewing screenshots of Power of Law... I need this game like a crack fix. It just LOOKS cool. This game mght end up being my ToEE. No matter how bad it is, I'll defend it... I hope it turns out good so it doesn't come to that.

Karzak, there is a difference between responding to an issue, and bringing it up to insult. Q?: Should Volourn be a mod. A!: No. Because X. Without the reasons, it'd just be "wtf? Why aren't you voting for me?" discussion.

No they don't. Someone nominated Volourn for moderation position. Votes for "No." may, or may not be personal, but they cannot be ignore. It was the purpose of the thread.

Uhm... if you mean MYTHICA, the MMORPG yes. To my knowledge Mythora is still under development, and due out in Q1 2004 over in euroland.

He got more votes than the present mods, didn't he? He also got an overwhelming majority vote against him.

Oh, one more thing, if anyone knows of any good sites with info on Mythora, please post them. I want to learn more about the game, but have found little information. I think it looks good.

Deep Shadows looks like a First Person Shooter... I'll go over the site looking for the RPG elements
