  1. Whats wrong with the fall? Well, I've gone to the forums a few time and Carsten is always asking for fans to contribute ideas. To me, it shows me that ze germans are to lazy to do their own creative work. Not to mention, the dialogs from the game I've seen are, what I would consider, not good. Hopefully good buddy Puuk will fix that all up.
  2. Megatron, you're either lying, or blind to the truth. My posts are considered verbose by most, and in my 30 some posts on the codex, I've been insulted 30 some times. Exitium called me "pretty dumb" and someone named Otaku accused me of being Herve Caen's secret lover. I've never been "owned" there. Quite to the contrary, rather then them posting any form of intelligible rebuttle, they call me gay. There are a few exceptions, but they are few.
  3. This notion that games need to be on either, console, or PC is getting tedious, and old. Simply because previous console games have been unlike games you might like, doesn't mean they can't be done. I actually disagree with your requests, more out of personal bias, because I hate requests that are "I want this, screw everyone else."
  4. They don't want to survive, they want to thrive.
  5. If not in the coming weeks, or month, then they might as well wait until E3. More press for it that way.
  6. Glad to see Puuk is still Puuk. What do I want in KotOR 2... assuming it is their next product... 1) Less Jedi. Jedi confrontations should be epic confrontations, not around every turn. No more then 1 per hour of gameplay(less if possible). You can have non-jedi force wielders, but Jedi are supposed to be the "1337357 of the 1337" (leetest of the leet). 2) Romances... ugh. BioWare was adamant about them in KotOR, and if Obsidian must include them, make them less hackneyed, and weak. Maybe even(if LucasArts would allow), a sick and twisted relationship for the truely evil types. One where the PC leads the "love interest" along, using him/her to acquire power and pleasure. 3) More combat options. I don't care what sort of combat, turn-based, or real-time, as long as it is good, and allows for more variables. Complexity is good. 4) More sidequests. They know.
  7. I'm evil? Bastila is one of them Sith traitors. I figure if they included "Spork in the eye." dialogue I would've been doing the galaxy a great service.
  8. Nothing, and I mean nothing, would please me more.
  9. Thank god for the acronym, imo. If there are usermods, they will need to have Guildmaster/some other official d00d keeping them under constant eye.
  10. I'de say if it doesn't come within the next few weeks/month, it will be unveiled at E3.
  11. Because romances in games (like KotOR's) are essentially nothing but a teenager/unhappily married woman's "oh hold me!" type drivel. I'm very against violence, let alone against the other sex, but I recall a strong desire to slap the crap out of Bastilla. Screw domestic violence, it would have been murder.
  12. I didn't forget QA, its not necessary to make a game. Its necessary to make a good game. Troika proves that for us. As for producers, yeah I forgot that.
  13. Xzar and Tiax had some of the best voice acting I have ever heard. Sarevok was standard Micahael Dean Richardson(I think thats his name). He uses the same voice for cartoons. Ever notice Jolee and Sarevok, are remarkably similar in sound? Xzar and Tiax had lines that I would not be able to say without breaking into a fit of epilepsy/terrets/hysterical laughter. All of Torment's voiceover work was extremely well done.
  14. Damn work called me in... couldn't register when I first found out, had to wait until I got home... *mumbles*
  15. 1 - Money 2 - Publisher 3 - Writing skills. 4 - A good design 5 - A good system 6 - Programming/Programmers 7 - Art skillz/Artists 8 - Scripting/Scripters I missed a lot I'm sure.
  16. I'm going to go out on a limb, and say... three dimensions. An X, Y and Z Axis . . .
  17. All of my blue smilies are @ Obsidian's disposal. You can take and us any/all of the smiles located on my forums. If Guildmaster wants any/all of them, he can PM me, and I'll send a zip or rar file with them all.
  18. Everytime I start to head out the door, I decide to check one more time... not a good sign for my social life.
  19. Any "sequel" to Knights of the Old Republic should be less of a direct sequel, and more of a sequel in name. We just have to be knights, which happen to live in the old republic... not Revan. Please, dear god, not Revan. If I am stuck seeing Carth, Bastilla, Canderous, Mission, Zaalbar, HK-47, or Jolee, I may just rip my eyes out with a spork.
  20. Sup

From the format, and layout, the board software is the same base as I used for us on Icebound. Invisionboard, though they spent time to modify it... a lot more then me
  21. A freind and I have been designing a horror RPG for some time. If we could find a publisher interested, we might consider putting some actual production into it. Originally I though Resident Evil might make a good setting, but the prospect of it being console-only is icky. *Dreams.*
  22. Feh. All the archdevils and demon princes have avatars as well. As for my alias, it is unfortunately linked to Sammael of Wheel fo Time, one of the Chosen of the Dark One (i.e. bad guys) and a great general of times long gone. To separate myself more fully from that character, I often use the title "Duke of Baator" or change the alias itself to "Duke Sammael." Historically, Sam(m)ael is one of the names medieval Hebrew scripts attribute to Satan, although there is much debate whether or not they are the same entity. Sammael is the only fallen angel that is both hated and loved at the same time, beautiful to behold but terrible in his wrath. He is the angel of retribution and war, but also of truth and knowledge. There are several apocryphal texts that mention Sammael, although they are not parts of the "official" Bible. The avatar is from a picture of a pit fiend (the highest-ranking non-noble baatezu) standing victorious on a pile of dead adventurers, by Wayne Reynolds, one of the principal D&D 3(.5)E artists. In Aramaic, Sammael is described as "the most perfect of deathbringers." If I recall correctly, in the apocryphon he is also described as "the first to fall with the Morningstar." If that is true, Sammael couldn't possibly be the same as Lucifer. Anyhoot, Shadowstrider was the first "big bad evil" I ever created for a campaign. My players started calling me Shadowstrider, it sort of stuck.
  23. Wasn't a shot at the codex, its just fairly well documented that you guys have a very lenient policy. If it were a shot at the codex, I'de post it... I've done it before
  24. *Sigh* Same crap, different setting. At this point I'de be happy with Volourn moderating. This insult slinging grudge match needs to end.
