  1. This is what I want from a roleplaying game. This is what I expect when I buy a game that is labelled as Genre: RPG. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Spot on. I'd take it a step further and say that: Is what CRPGs have degenerated to.
  2. I'd like to recommend Snatch and Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. I really like how Guy Ritchie directed the films. For those who've no knowledge of them, they're movies set in Englan and basically about crimes that go horribly, horribly wrong. Hilarious movies. Of course there are Godfather part I and II, both classic films. For those of you who don't mind black and white with subtitles (or who speak japanese), there is Seven Samurai.
  3. Whether you agree or disagree with someone, please refrain from employing personalized attacks.
  4. You can delete your own topic, below the post body there is a drop-down box that says "moderation options." There should be two options, close and delete topic.
  5. This thread has outlived its usefulness, and has gone off topic. I'm closing it, if you feel there is a good reason to re-open the discussion you're free to contact me or any of the other moderators.
  6. Moved to the Computer and Console forum.
  7. Really? I truely like him. I've watched many, many films/plays/whatever and I find him to be among the best, if not the best outright. Is it true to real life Caesar? No, not in the least. It'd be impossible to really portray the true Caesar. Is it true to Caesar, the character? Caesar the legend? Absolutely. A calm, calculating leader who can respond to any situation and spin it to his advantage.
  8. I've been trying not to close topics, lately - especially with the lack of any sustenence regarding OE projects. That said, this thread is beggin' for it. If you'd prefer I could move it to the games forum, where it might not be locked.
  9. I don't care either way, I already have a good idea. I just won't approve of it.
  10. Under no circumstances is anyone other than Volourn (for the absurdity), Gromnir (for the good fun), Kumquatq3(for the monkies) or Guildmaster('cause) himself to make a card about me. Violaters will be shot.
  11. Wasn't a fan of the first transporter, but it wasn't an aweful movie. I'll wait for the DVD release of this one.
  12. One of the biggest problems with the developer post button is it only seems to gather developer posts from the first page it detects them What that means is if there is a topic with 5 pages, and the first dev response is on page 1, if a developer posts on page 2-5 it doesn't always snag them. Sometimes it does, but not always, it seems to depend on how you have your posts per page option set.
  13. There are a few problems with it, which I've been taking notes on.
  14. understandable... but why then all the new editions? seems like they is trying to get folks who have working copies of nwn to buy the New & Improved edition... but the improved editions is little more than new packaging. am just wondering who falls for such ridiculous marketing games. HA! Good Fun! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I bought a platinum edition when I lost some of my disks in a move. Other than that I dunno.
  15. I officially hate everyone in this thread.
  16. I laughed uncontrollably at the second video. "GIVE IT UP FOR ME!!!!! WHOOOOOO!" Get over yourself, Ballmer.
  17. Yeah, there isn't much casual moments in the show, its high drama. Just the way I like it, personally. Don't really want to watch a show about romans lounging around eating dinner. The most casual moment I've seen thus far was when the pair of centurions were riding along as they set out for Caesar's standard. Their exchange was hardly casual, but it was the closest to it you'll get. Or when Caesar was visited by his nephew, and Caesar fed him information to slip to Pompei.
  18. Bad moderators! Less M&C, more Rome.
  19. You don't think graphics are important? You're in the minority. Graphics, and overall aesthetics are very important to the majority of players. Graphics are important for hooking players in, and then maintaining longevity. The average player doesn't pick up a box and read all the game's features; fact is all a game's features can't fit on the box. So they rely on visual appeal to hook them. Once the game's visuals sell it, the gameplay kicks in. For games like MMOs, the visuals have to hold their own, otherwise subscribers leave for the next wave of games. Why play an ugly paladin in Everquest when you can play a less ugly Paladin in Lineage? (I've never played or even looked at either game so I don't know if you can even PLAY a paladin in those games, just an example). Graphics don't sell games, they help too and are a major factor.
  20. weeman r stooped. herrr herrr herrr
  21. Okay, so I just watched the second episode, and I must say I liked it a lot. I've got to admit its got me hooked now. The first episode was good, the second was great. I found the intrigue and depth of it really interesting, and you can see them building up conflicts for the future (no not just between Pompei and Caesar). Anyone else?
  22. I'm contacting GM on this issue. I'll do my best to solve it ASAP.
