Yes, but that's now, before you grow all the extra legs. Now quit typing and guzzle! You will need to consume more chocolate to make your wings correctly opalescent.

Well, precisely. I'm not one to try and define how other's love. Cornsarnit, this thread could be our generation's Woodstock!

Being the coked up fiend that I am I have already stated that I would rather NOT see my stats. I think they get in the way of perceiving the character as a character and not as a vehicle which you tool around in like a tank.

I figured we could maybe use a Valentines War Room, like in Dr Strangelove. Here it is. First up let me say that if I've learned any one single thing, it is to ask. You would be amazed what can be achieved by simply going ahead and asking the woman (or whatever) out. Provided you do it with a smile, and the whisky bottle is stuffed in your back pocket, not your vest pocket. Secondly, I don't want anyone getting down if they aren't seeing anyone this Valentines. It's a horrible carnival of forced emotions in most relationships. You are better off crouched on a high wall, wolfing down bag after bag of cheeseburgers and perfecting the howl of a coyote. Sometimes the body needs special nutrients if it is undertaking special activity. I predict you will shortly begin spinning a cocoon around yourself. The laternative is that your preconscious has established you are going to succeed with this mystery girl, and you will need the calories for the punishing fortnight of hot horizontal mambo which is about to ensue. Make sure you eat plenty of zinc.

I use two Dells. One for online. One for work. I was thinking about self-build, but then I needed them sharpish and I had no time.

I have disorganised friends. I have a very changeable job. I need my cellphone, although I managed OK before I had it, I don't know how.

I thought in the UK the greatest rise in infection rates was among young heteros, not gays and hookers. And I would urge you to sit an d think a while on your attitude to those with AIDS. Firstly I thought y'all weren't the kind of insane far right wingers to take comfort in the notion that 'only bad people get AIDS'. I also don't hodl with teh notion that AIDS will take the weak or the unnecesary. I wasn't going to say this, but I'll do so to make this a bit more real, not for sympathy. The lady who looked after me when I was a baby died of HIV in 2002. She contracted it from her abusive partner who died shortly before her. She was a very dear friend, and a remarkable woman. So when you talk about the disease consider that it could take someone you care about.

I'd like to draw your attention to the contrast between chimpanzees and bonobo monkeys. But I haven't time to get the links. Maybe someone else can jump in... *runs off to eat dinner*

Jediphile: I am not entirely certain we are really at crossed purposes. I am insisting on personal responsibilty, but I am also looking at every element of an act. To draw an analogy, if a house is burned down, and I supplied the gasoline, and you lit the matches then we are BOTH implicated in the event. Speaking of which, I don't see that any personal comments are relevant to this discussion.

Same is said about The Plague (Black Death)... That one might even be worse than this one too, but they could manage that when they found out the cause and it was an easily managable one. Managing safe sex is a whole different and far more difficult task. Don't get me wrong, it is VERY managable, if it wasn't in the human nature to keep sleeping with other people and ignore the risk of spreading the dissease... <_< <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Diseases, pandemics, are the only thing that makes a real dent in human population, looked at historically. Plus their very randomness is doubly disruptive. It slays prince, pauper, genius and moron alike. I don't know about conrolling it through safe sex. We could definitely use improving, especially in the UK, where all sorts of STDs are on the rise. But the fact is that the virus is relatively hard to contract at present. As it learns and gets tougher even barrier methods may prove unfeasible.

Kisses. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yay! :D ...gawd what a sucker... Anyway I disagree we are some destructive virus. Yes we have the power to do so. But we are also the only organism on this planet that has a hope in hell of manipulating nature and or getting onto other planets. A kookaburra may live in harmony with it's environment, but it has no awareness of its environment. We are plumbing the depths of science and Creation. We are more than violent beasts.

I think that what might be more appropriate in cases like this is that persons who have legitimate cause to access his writing can apply to do so, just like a restricted report on defence or the security services. Thus investigating officers and criminologists can ebenfit from the insights of his revelations, without the idle and curious and the victims being affected. But this is still censorship. Tying it back into the cartoon issue, are we applying consistent rules?

Steve, without meaning to be preachy, that is precisely what the Prison Service wanted to do. Meta, and Eldar, I'm with you, and you express my feelings better than I can. Volourn, I agree that protecting the public is why he is locked away, but as has been said once convicetd the balance goes from erring on the side of the individual's rights to protecting society. If there is any possibility that the publication could hurt the victim's relations further, or inspire others to act, then it should be censored. Jediphile, I am sorry but publishers like any other business have NO social conscience. I also take exception with your assertion that being personally responsible means that no-one else has any impact on your behaviour. I agree that one should not be able to weasel out of taking responsiblity by pointing at some book, game or film. But I also think that the publishers of that book game or film bear varying responsibility. Linked to the above point, I might remind the assembly that the film the Clockwork Orange was censored by its creator, not by UK govt. for fear it would inspire violence.

Artist and listener are part of the same system. If all my fans were ignorant lowlives, and I was telling them to be ignorant lowlives, I'd have issues. Don't get me wrong, I've nothing against the original gangster rappers, but a huge part of their music was anger about being what they were. The new breed are selling the lifestyle like nikes.

Like your mother?

I don't care what the artists are like. They are setting the tone for others. The streets in my city are full of wannabe gangsters living a dream like flashier and more violent live-roleplayers.

I need help getting started on my web page

Hey! Quit dissing psychologists, or me and n****z will bust a long-winded paper about the stroop test in your ass! Assuming this is a school project I see nothing wrong with considering teh big question before trying to get into the real studies and so on. far too much psychology over the last three decades seems blissfully unconcerned that it is as relevant to real-life as a a condom machine inside a great white shark.

I take it you have yet to witness the awesome power of Ice-T in the movie "Leprechaun in the Hood". http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0209095/

OK. But I still don't follow you entirely - he can't go where he wants - he can't see who he wants - he can't eat what he wants These are all freedoms any sane person would demand. Just like the freedom of speech. But we deprive him of those while allowing him the speech. Withteeth: I know we have to accept a margin of error, but by and large people in jail are guilty. They just don't run news stories about the fact that a guy convicted twenty years ago is stilll guilty as charged. I have concernes about the death penalty, but not anything that is less than lethal.
-
Your point is well made. But this guy dismembered people for fun. I especially like the way his lawyer says the Crown has no right to chop and change bits of his book. He chopped and changed people's organs alright. Why SHOULD his right to freedom of expression be excersied? His freedom of movement and association have been curtailed...

Sorry, Meta. I enjoyed Ocean's Twelve as well. Not a great film, but it kept me entertained. I've sat through a lot worse. Really enjoyed Munich. Also recently watched Walk The Line. A good film to take a girl to so long as she likes country music. Or Joaquin Poenix. But then which girls DON'T like Joaquin Phoenix?

I do agree. The way modern rap artists go on it's almost sad how they have completely sold out their heritage. "Don't try to educate yourself, don't try to be aware of what's around you, don't escape the ghetto. Take your money and spend it on stuff that evaporates. Live as a criminal so you can prey on your brothers and get arrested. Get chewed up and brutalised at home and in jail."
