  1. You've got me interested. Do you think it has an English language release?
  2. Well, it sounds decent, and it has Bruce Campbell. So it's going on my list of must-sees.
  3. Is it still running at a million miles a second if you refresh? I had that problem the first time I played. I tried it when you suggested it, but no dice. I had to download it instead. Still pretty cool. I really liked the easy thrill of total victory. I also liked having the video show doing stuff. More games should end like that. In fact, I want the next Obsidian game to first show you doing stuff that you actually did, then have 'outtakes', like Bear Gods wandering off into the woods when they think no-one is watching.
  4. I'm wondering where my girlfriend is, as she's not answering the phone. I could go round to her house, but she's probably down at some bar, flirting with other guys. I hope something rotten happens to her. Meanwhile I settle down to the first few lines of my hopelessly unfinished anti-zombie chainmail hauberk.
  5. That's the usual situation in concerts I attend to with my girlfriend yeah it's nothing unusual it's just that she was really wasted and could barely stand on her own, and with all the broken glass i didn't want her getting knocked over and hurt See? A gentleman doesn't have to wear a monocle. *subtext: wear a monocle*
  6. An old friend of mine pointed out that what you really want is a cattle grid.
  7. Hell Kitty is of course roleplaying a dust mite.
  8. The Carla Bruni album. Sort of meh, but it raises teh important hotness issue. And by that, lets compare Cherie Blair and Carla Bruni as first ladies. yes. I also spilled my tea.
  9. Paint it Black - Hayseed Dixie (a bluegrass cover of same)
  10. Burn Notice. I recommend. I've never even heard of it. Does anyone know if it's on in the UK?
  11. Ah, so in fact he was valiantly defending himself.
  12. It's running at a million miles a second . I can't play it!
  13. My PSU doesn't show the rating on the case exterior. Can I work this out from the software end? I'm dubious about having enough power.
  14. You mean like with a movie? If you're making a quip about publisher's cut, I'm not sure whether or not Steam necessarily makes Obsidian directly more money, although I know Chris Avellone said he likes Steam. The thing is, in this case the publisher is Sega, and as far as I can tell they're supportive and excellent to work, for so I wouldn't really want to circumvent them getting their cut. Actually I meant how in the film industry a lot rides on the opening weekend. Although I've always felt that reflected marketing more than the film. Interesting what you say about Sega. If so, it's nice to see.
  15. Amazon just delivered Southland Tales. It has The Rock, and Sarah Michelle Gellar. Amazon should have a breathalyser on it.
  16. Best. Post. Ever. It was chewing on my achilles tendon. I punched a midget last First of May. No, seriously. A drunk midget. If that's not awesome, nothing is. I presume he did something wrong, and you weren't just lashing out at those smaller than you. Assuming you're NOT a midget.
  17. I'm just thinking how annoyed I am that the builders haven't completed my totally unnecessary ground floor anti-zombie netting.
  18. I don't think it was a mandated shelter, although youre quite right, the number of shelters around Europe which may be being used in this way freezes the blood. This comes back to some fundamental principles of crime and punishment, because there can be no doubts regarding his guilt. Nor is there any prospect of rehabilitation. The question then becomes what we are to do with him. What is the purpose of legal justice? One thing I would say is that I find it curious that anyone would advocate torture as a punishment for being a torturer. If you can get satisfaction of ANY kind from inflicting deliberate pain on a massive scale then I you are one of two things: a) Not really appreciating what you're describing b) In need of a long lie down and some tea
  19. 15 years???? He kept a woman and her children in a cellar for 24 years and he gets 15, ****-ing years??? How is that justice? I think this is an interesting case on many levels, as well as a moving one. One aspect of interest to me is how a convicted sex offender was let to run loose, and reoffend. It happens all the time, and yet we do not collectively seem to reagrd this as a problem. We simply see a case like this and narrow our focus in on the bastard who did the deed, rather than the orchestra of people who had to be complicit for it to happen.
  20. Headline: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/global/main.jht.../naustria30.xml Tiny bit of illustrative detail brought it home with sudden violence. Story is worth reading.
  21. You ever met someone who is absolutely T-Total? It's scary... Very scary. I've met quite a few. They are a bit frightening. Mainly because I was drunk and suffering withdrawal from intravenous drugs, and I thought they were lizards.
  22. the rad-lime and the rad-scorpion venom may be imaginary, but judging by your post i'd say that the gin is most definitely real. I haven't had any gin! Yet. I'm just off to fix me one now... Before I go, yes the dialogue thing would be nice, wouldn't it? If fething Oblivion is anything to go by we'd better add in imaginary people who aren't sunny side up twenty four hours a day.
  23. Since I know we'll all find there are things missing from FO3, I thought we could do a mod. Then I thought: hang on, when are we going to do this here mod? Then I had one of my genius plans. We imagine the mod. Basically, while playing we pretend stuff is in there. Quick, clean, and minimal compatability errors. So, what will YOU imagine is in the F.I.M. ? ~ I'm going to add: A .303 Lee Enfield bolt action rifle. Because if it can be made in a workshop in Afghanistan it can be made after the War Gin gimlets, made with real rad-lime juice an rad-scorpion venom Setting up a private detectives agency from the ruined set of a television private detective.
  24. Update; Well, my short term review is that it is bloody awesome. The battery pack charges very easily from just about anything, and once charged, rides around quite comfortably in a largeish pocket. Once there it can be used to charge any devices you fancy. Pure liquid genius.
