  1. Fine, you miserable ****ers. Go ahead and just trail her to a bar and get pissed. How very sodding romantic. IMO a bit of effort scares off the 'also ran' s but is essential if you want to get the really special ones. You can't expect to snaffle a clever and attractive woman by doing what every other fethwit is doing. At least you can't if you're a bit thick and funny looking like I am.
  2. Yeah, I've always thought there was something sinister about math. Forget religion and politics, math is the root of all evil square root of all evil. LOl'd despite myself.

I'd certainly agree that there are folks who struggle to cope with sex even at an age over consent. It's an intense business (how English am I?) after all. However I'd take issue with the argument that the numbers are 'arbitrary'. It makes perfectly good sense to argue there is an age below which sex is some confidence interval of being unreasonable. As Spider Jerusalem said "Having sex on presexual people is wrong." It leaves permanent and serious mental scars. Scars which are not solely in the area of sexual relations, but affect every aspect of human relations and even broader levels of anxiety and fear. I am obliged to say that if mkreku could put forward a reasonable impartial test to establish that a person is indeed 'sexual' to an adult degree then that would have to be superior to an age system. However, I'd be bloody amazed if he or anyone esle could. And I _certainly do not think Roman Polanski had such a test in mid when he drugged and had sex with this girl_. Seriously, WTF? We have a massive go at the Roman Catholic Church (quite correctly) for excusing and prevaricating on child abuse. Then the liberal arts establishment excuse their own for the same thing?
  4. I have actually been making progress on my weight loss/fat loss. Three things: 1. Meaty breakfast - stops me feeling peckish during the day. 2. Lots of fibre 3. Only drinking half what I normally do. This took a while to get used to. The good thing is I've adjusted and so now get just as drunk for half the money. Result! I've been complimented three times in the last fortnight for looking lots thinner.
  5. LOL I got only 4 out of 25 for the Baldur's Gate 1 test! Time to replay it, methinks...
  6. Obviously I'm biased, but I'd say get into the TA, and go Signals. You get paid, and you get trained, and if your local unit is anything like mine then you'll get plenty of moral credit and support by virtue of your having supported your family through a rough time. Don't bother doing schooling, tho. Too many folks competing on those grounds. If you definitely need to get up to date then you're better off getting hired for a specific project. Go on the job and agency websites. Elan recruiting, and LA International spring immediately to mind. Vodaphone, maybe? Oh, and for what little it's worth, I hope you have tremendous success for after having done your duty by your mum.

While I applaud your kind impulse, I believe you are misplacing it. The point is not how many pedos are abused. The point is how few abused people become pedos. Do you forgive a man who deliberately infects others with HIV because he has HIV? I don't think so.
  8. I've had a think and don't know anyone who could help (who isn't on this forum). Sorry, mate. But I'm sure you'll sort something!
  9. ANYTHING that nails Paypal gets my vote. Paypal is a prime example of the free market not working.
  10. Good point. I lived in a house with actors and actresses many years ago, and they were ALL wankers. the actors and actresses we has met is, without exception... difficult. we has actual been friends with a few actors/actresses, but am gonna note that we thought they was all damaged or nutty to a lesser or greater degree. not wankers (some were very nice people) but all was kookie. HA! Good Fun! You are correct, of course. Damaged is a better description. But many of them hurt others by their damage. Like a backpack with a broken pole.
  11. Amused to discover that I haven't lost ALL of my muscle tone. The fire alarm went off when I was still asleep, and after (as it were) a silent count of three I catapulted off the bed from the foetal position in a single bound and hit the floor running. False alarm, as it happens, but as good as a cup of coffee. Sorry to hear about your book, GD. I know I should remember, but what's it about?
  12. Kaft, I suggest a variation on something which I did in siimilar circumstances. 1. Make a piece of jewellery for the girl. 2. 'Lose' the item in the shop, like under a chiller cabinet relatively near her (do NOT do this when she is on the till, as she won't be able to get involved) 3. Approach her and mention that you've lost the item, and ask for help 4. This is an excellent screen, as if she reacts like a water buffalo staring at a bee then she's not worth worrying about 5. While looking you should have a minute or so to explain how it is a piece of jewellery, and you feel sily for geting so worked up because it's a gift and the receiver doesn't even know they're getting it. Plus it wasn't expensive, it just seemed right etc etc 6. When you 'find' it she will provbably say something about how she hopes the person getting the gift likes it. At which point you give it to her. And win ensues.
  13. Good question. Not a clue, unfortunately.
  14. Dammit. Thanks, mate. I'm so 1980s sometimes.
  15. WTF? She entered four competitions OF CHANCE and you want to know how she won? BY CHANCE!
  16. On reflection it's far more likely that this is the local underworld making a show of 'force' rather than a general moral crevice being exposed.
  17. Apparently Moat is getting bouquets of flowers, and tributes on a special website. WTF, Britain?
  18. Thanks a lot, man. That's thirty minutes laughing like a t***.
  19. Has anyone been involved in beta testing and can I have a squizz at a sample contract? We've got some stuff we want to distribute to colleagues and want a little insurance, but it's a pro-bono development and I haven't the cash to go to lawyers.
  20. If you want a really bizarre conversation try ringing up a company to do them a favour for no particular reason. I spotted a potential sale for a local engineering firm and spent about thirty minutes explaining how I didn't want anything I was just making them aware of something.
  21. Do we really want IW folks here? Don't we have enough "I CANNOT SHOOT IN AP!!!!!1111one!!111! WAAAH The combat system sucks" comments already of people with a lack of patience? I dunno. You think we could maybe gengineer them to be an army of winged urchin-henchmen?
