  1. I have it on extremely good authority that women wearing chainmail directly on the skin had better enjoy graunched nipples*. Not to mention I can attest to how chilly chainmail is. So yes, you'd wear big padded clothing underneath almost all armour. Having said that I don't agree with the infinite trouser space idea for inventories. Sounds to me like you should be embracing an opportunity to tackle your anxiety issues, if you can't leave junk behind. My last couple of playthroughs of New Vegas have been inventory light, and refusing to carry anything classable as trash. * I am told that even the ones who think they will, don't.
  2. I totally agree. There should be fights that one should not have got into in the first place.
  3. Walsh, you are indeed a constant source of inspiration and hope.. I know, my friend. You may rest assured there will be pies.
  4. I like how they asked how many beautiful women I'd copped off with, but not how many ugly ones (more).
  5. 6. I'm getting the chance to see high street spending at the moment, and it's really changed. Pretty much everybody is counting the pennies. Especially the middle classes, who developed expensive tastes during the boom and can't really satisfy them any more.
  7. I've been pretty good recently. Cut down on the wheat, and am eating salad for lunch, mostly. Plus several days a week I'm now working on my feet rather than behind a desk. Feeling pretty good. I'm still a tubby b****, but not quite as bad.
  8. It was just the joys (and side effects) of a misspent youth! Indeed. My shy, quiet, and bohemian youth was what prompted my debauched, drunken, pie-flavoured middle age!
  9. So, what you're saying is that we have a stock market bubble of over-optimism?
  10. The thing is that US politics is high stakes, isn't it? Much like high stakes poker the winners play the game, not for the love of it, but to win. The system is designed and has evolved to reward venal self-service. So that's what it has produced. I'm not a high minded revolutionary. I don't appeal to higher instincts. I just think that having a stronger Party system in Congress, capable of over-riding lunatic fringes, would prevent this kind of thing. On the other hand, as I'm sure GD would point out, a strong Party system is what has given us in the UK um... my mind's gone blank. Something awful.
  11. It only lasted a couple of seconds, but it was damned strange.
  12. Everyone roll for SAN loss 1D4/2
  13. Oh, they got conned alright... Orwell would have been so proud http://www.thedailymash.co.uk/news/society/everything-orwellian-say-idiots-2013092579759
  14. WORST NSA PROFILING EFFORT EVER.
  15. I feel that 'masterminding' might be an inappropriate term, Gortho. Like when the press describe some dust covered halfwit of being a terrorist mastermind for saying "You know how we've been killing people? How about we kill MORE people? Eh? Eh?"
  16. When I woke up this morning the sunlight was flickering the way a TV does when it's being filmed. Is my brain somehow out of phase? If so, this would explain a LOT.
  17. Weird. I deleted the extant messages, to conserve free space precisely so we COULD continue!
  18. Interesting material from the anti-defamation league, talking about women extremists. http://archive.adl.org/special_reports/extremist_women_on_web/feminism_intro.asp
  19. Roasted a tray of mixed vegetables with oil, salt, and a dusting of ground cumin. Ate with white rice and chutney. Tea.
  20. The FA is the only governing body I advocate violent overthrow of.
  21. 'Scratcher'? ~ EDIT: In case it's not obvious, I would not recommend researching white supremacists before going to bed. Now I want to wash my mind.
  22. At least Centralia was an accident. A culpable accident, but an accident.
  23. Purely as a counter-argument I would say that Clinton sidestepped every macro-issue facing America: Islamic extremism, securing energy supplies, healthcare costs, environmental protection, reorienting the US military... A paralysed government can't spend your money, but it also can't protect it.
  24. I'm glad they didn't at my school. I don't think I'd have got any work done!
