Well, atleast for 4,000 years that we know of. Read the Wheel of Time, or any such similiar series. Many authors would suggest that the battle between good and evil is endless.

I'm just not sold on the GC, even though I own it. It lacks a HDD, a DVD player, online play, and it lacks games. The only thing going for it is a progressive-scan image.

Remember the 20 min video of KOTOR?

I can be guilty of that, but I read up on all the film-junkie sites pretty often (FilmForce, theforce.net, Cinescape, AICN, NewsAskew, MrCranky, etc). I can also be surprised from time to time. Here's to hoping Shrek 2 topples The Passion. -
I think the UN gets nervous anytime tanks roll, for any purpose. Isreal gets slapped down for resoultions when they use their military. Yes, we like to see matters resolved peacefully. However, the UN Security Council was created for a purpose. I think the UN is afraid of utilizing it. Why does the United States demand the right to use whatever force necessary to protect itself against terrorism and then tell Isreal to back off on Palestine? It seems quite hypocritcal.

And while the Jews like to play the victim card quite a bit, they did have a right to play the card after WWII. And frankly, they are a people that had been repeatedly enslaved and forcibly moved many times in their history. I think the Isreal compromise wasn't ridiculously unfair.

Both Palestine and Isreal can make a claim to that land. Kudos to you for very adequately playing Devil's Advocate on both sides. Here's the deciding factor for me. The UN says share the land. Isreal comes in, spends money and manpower cultivating desert, building structures, etc. Palestine never really makes an effort to share. Many go on the record of saying they'll never be happy until every Jew on the planet is dead. Isreal makes an attempt to share the land, and even goes as far to put money into fixing up land, and handing it to Palestine. Palestinians don't have the military might to fight Isreal head-on, but murdering civilians is never acceptable, period. Undermaned troops have used hit-and-run tactics successfully on military tactics time and time again. The US Revolutionary War is a fine example of farmers fighting off trained, better equipped soldiers. With rag-tag ships we sank what was then the finest fleet in the world. (Canada in turn kicked the our butt in the War of 1812, but Americans pretend it never happened) They could make pipe bombs and attack tanks. Instead they murder civilians. Palestine crossed a line. Isreal has a right to defend themselves. The UN said that the country would be shared, and one side just isn't willing to do that.

He rephrased his suggestion using paragraph breaks in a much more readable fashion. Other people reiterated his suggestion in a readable format. People still ripped him and the suggestion. I get the impression from many of the threads here that some people equate gaining power, and killing things = RPG. I find that sad.

That seems like a blanket statement. You haven't even seen Episode 3, and you can judge it's worth? -

The main Exalted book gives rules for the Solar characters. They are sick and wrong. I'd never want to play them. They make better antagonists. The Dragon-Blooded characters are more interesting story-wise, and rules-wise. Imagine playing a Dragon-Blooded, and being hated by everyone. Imagine having all these rather powerful Exalteds wanting you dead. Imagine trying to save a crumbling Empire in the face of all this. Next time you're in a gaming shop, flip through the Dragon Blooded book and you'll see a completely different game. The rule for getting bonuses for creative stunts is pure genius. -

White Wolf WoD 2.0 comes out in August. One thing that I found interesting was that they said there will be no meta-plot in the WoD. They don't want the new book contradicting your current chronicle, or to strong-arm you into running their campaign simply because it's official. From what I've seen of the new rules, I really like the system. I also like having one core rule book. The diff is always 8, no matter what. Also, you only need one success. It was silly that you needed 5 successes, so you could roll 4 successes, but not succeed. Modifiers give extra dice to roll, or remove dice. Is that brilliant, or what? My only concern is that they simplified combat. I like simple, quick rules, but I'm wary. How fair is combat? There is simply one die-roll for combat. That roll determines whether or not you hit, and how much damage you do. Is there a soak roll still? Is it too lethal? We'll see. I also agree about the Dragon-Blooded statements. They are quite under-powered in Exalted, and that's why they intrigue me. In the "Blasphemy" thread, people keep calling me a munchkin because I cheated in BG. The truth is, I really prefer challenges, and prefer to be underpowered. I played a Gangrel to be the outcast, and underdog. -

From what I understand, Lee wasn't physically able to do much of the duel. Lee is replaced by a CGI Dooku in the Yoda duel largely, but since your focus is on Yoda, you don't realize it. They didn't want to utilize a CGI Lee in the Anakin duel. At least that's what I heard. Lee has said in interviews that they did make a full CGI Dooku, just like there is a full CGI R2D2 and Yoda. P.S. Color me stupid, Jaguar. I recognize your avatar. Is that "Ohm"? It's driving me crazy. -

He's got the whole story for Episode 3. The sad thing is Lucas has been screaming about keeping everything secret for years, and now you can pay to see everything going on during production of Episode 3. So much for secrecy. -
Someone suggested an option to sheathe your weapons and got flam-basted pretty good. I think it makes sense however.

My Gangrel didn't become a Prince until about 3 years into the chronicle. He was Prince of San Bernadino County in SoCal (the largest county in the US) admist several elders. Alot of people gunned for me, but at the same time I don't know that a whole lot of people would really want the job. The domain was sandwiched between LA and San Diego. Need I say more? However, he was a temporary Archon before he was a Prince. He was in a small sect called the Jannisaries, who acted as crusaders for the Traditions. I helped protect the Brujah Justicar during an attack on his life, and became an archon for a weekend. I lated learned that the whole time I was a pawn of the Justicar who used us to get an artifact from the Setites to summon a demon. When I learned of how easily I had been duped, and of the Justicar's intensions, I became a bloodhunted Auturk. For years, I was in control, or so I thought. The moment of revelation for me was priceless. Most people assumed my Gangrel was an Elder, when in fact, he was a neonate. I have a theory that characters that are played exceedingly reckless sometimes live the longest, and accomplish the most. Of all my characters, in any chronicle, he was the most exciting and fun to play. With **** going down, I don't know about the Exalted game, but that likely would have been an action title. I think an Exalted CRPG would be great. I've been itching to run a game for a while. I was planning on running Gehenna next. White Wolf handled the meta-plot surprisingly well. -
My buddy is a mechanical engineer who develops multi-stage systems for measuring nanometic measurements for processors and hard drives. We're hitting a wall with hardware that things can't really get smaller. We have to move to new mediums, and new technologies. Optical mediums are going in new directions. Processors will have to do the same.

I'm trying to remain spolier free for Ep3 for that same reason. I <3 broadband. I am such a bandwidth whore. -
Who is crazy enough to tell you to put your weapons away?

The E3 before last, they had a demo of the PS3. It was six or twelve PS2's slaved together. I think the future is in multi-processor systems.
