  1. It has been suggested that if the population of China were all to jump in the air at the same time, that it would move the orbit of the Earth. And yes, the prevelant wormhole theories state that space could be bent, but no one knows how to do it currently.
  2. I fully expect Gambit to say those things in X-Men 3. See, we're always on topic!
  3. King Kong's story really doesn't appeal to me. But I don't understand calling Peter Jackson a hack. He has a really good body of work overall.
  4. On the eminent domain issue, I know many feel this is a bad decision. This could be easily abused if judges aren't responsible, but a good portion of our entire legal system depends on us trusting judges to make good decisions. If the city honestly needs new development for the city to grow and thrive, then so be it. There are projects that will benefit a large group of people, and one small land owner can hold back the betterment of a larger group because of personal interests. And on the file-sharing front, I think the ruling was reasonable. A company that goes out of their way to assist in the act of a crime has broken the law themselves. If they merely present a tool, and make no effort to aid in the criminal use of said tool, then they are not liable.
  5. That's why the brunt of this case will depend on companies either standing up and backing these claims, or not. It's also possible that companies like Best Buy are forced to agree to Intel's terms, if Intel says the Circuit City has already agreed to them. I'm all for natural competition, but I believe that AMD makes better products overall, for a cheaper price more often than not, but only self-builders really get AMD products. Intel keeps most computer manufacturers from touching AMD, and thusly Intel keeps a superior product out of the consumers hands not through fair competition, but coersion. That is illegal, and I hope the various corps named have the balls to stand up and testify on AMD's behalf.
  6. They may do it eventually. I hope they do it eventually. But despite what the magazine article is saying, they are not doing it now. I'm not trying to piss on people's parades. I'm trying to clarify things so people don't get all excited and misled.
  7. She also finds time in her day to show me the WonderTwins
  8. Sure you did. Novels have lots of words, and big concepts. They also have subtext. You are adamant that anything not out-right stated doesn't exist. Since the concepts of subtext\ and subjective interpretation are beyond your grasp, I highly doubt you've ever read and comprehended a novel. But maybe someday! Come on, say it! I think I can! I think I can!
  9. I think Anakin choking Padme was the best gag in Star Wars history! God, that was funny! j/k
  10. Or playing XBox, watching sports, and writing fan-fic like my wife.
  11. They have said it. Feargus has said it outright, and so has Akari. And in the Project New Jersey section, if you read those posts they keep repeating their next project is not a sequel, and not KOTOR:3. If you really want to believe that they are currently working on it, then go right ahead. You'll be waiting a while. And just so you know, it's LucasArts' decision. The last MCA interview I read on KOTOR:2, he said they'd love to do a KOTOR:3. If you don't read the news, LucasArts closed down their offices, fired most of their staff, and canceled preproduction on KOTOR:3.
  12. I think they should make a patch that adds 4 new planets, and online capabilities, and allow us to hit level 99!
  13. Mira considers herself Madalorian. Mira points out that many Mandalorians were really conquered people from other planets, much like most Romans weren't born in Rome at the height of their empire. And the person who is Mandalore, isn't really Mandalore. You just assume the role. In the same vein, people assume the title Mandalorian.
  14. That must have been the version Nur Ab Sal read.
  15. This is the same article mentioned in several previous threads. Obsidian outright said they are not currently working on KOTOR:3. They only have enough staff for one full project, though they may eventually grow to have staff for two projects. They will be working on NWN:2 through 2006. Project New Jersey is not a sequel, and thusly not KOTOR:3. I don't expect they could even really get going on the project after that until 2007. Again, I repeat, Obsidian is not currently working on KOTOR:3, regardless of what one random magizine article says.
  16. I liked Bastilla and Jolee, or Bastilla and Carth in the first one. For KOTOR:2, I used Kreia a lot because of the Force Chain, and the Mentor XP bonus. It varied between Handmaiden, Atton and Bao-Dur as the second person.
  17. You run into four Jedi masters, and there is Atris, who claims to be a Jedi, despite haven fallen. They are recognized as being Jedi, where as Bastilla apparently chose to leave the order, and Kreia was exiled.
  18. Actually I was almost placed in special education as a child. When I was entering kindergarden, they told me I was so dyslexic that I'd probably never read beyond a 4th grade level. After 6th grade, they told me I scored higher on our standard tests than most 12th graders. I made the decision to focus on education as an individual. I also think as a society we often allow people to pass the buck and blame parents, instead of having individuals take responsibility for their own lives. I maintain that Paris is both unattractive, and stupid. Her vapid nature can be mildly entertaining in a Jessica Simpson fashion, but if she were not wealthy, I doubt anyone would know or care who Paris Hilton is.
  19. Thanks for compiling these!
  20. I repaired HK just fine as a male Exile.
  21. My parents were drug addicts and absentee. I'm largely self-educated.
  22. I agree. When defending the honor or name of a nation, they often aren't really concerned with the well-being of it's people, but more so defending the concept of the country.
  23. You can educate stupid people to an extent. She has plenty of wealth. There is no reason for her to be that stupid.
  24. Early PCs didn't always have an OS. Either way, it's a personal computer. There were word processors, spreadsheets and the like for the C64.
