What are you playing now?
Thi is why you keep a goodly supply of Wive's Tears upon you at all times, the recipe can be obtained from a Woodcutter in the Swamp in Chapter 2 if I remember correctly. I just wobbled my way to Kalktein's residence and rested there however, much closer. Yeah, I read about Wive's Tears online, but I never figured out where to get them.

I agree with the bolded. Different options are always best. I should clarify that I was disappointed in myself since I kind of breezed through the autopsy not really paying close enough attention to the dialogue options, thus resulting in me missing out on the "optimal" quest resolution.

What are you playing now?
Just finished Chapter 2 in the Witcher. I "failed" the autopsy quest, so even though I figured out the big secret, I wasn't able to acuse the right person in the main quest. A little disappointed. Also got kind of annoyed with getting drunk at Shani's party, then having to walk alllll the way to the inn/fireplace on the other side of the map to lose the effects of getting drunk. Took like 10 minutes, real-time, to get there.

What are you playing now?
Just starting Chapter II in the Witcher. Up to this point, I gotta say I enjoyed the Witcher 2 more. Better story, better characters, etc.

What are you playing now?
Finished my Witcher 2 play through. I decided to play as a "ruthless" Geralt, picking all the selfish choices. Decided to download the original Witcher off GOG. Just started Chapter 1. I can actually run it now, so I'll finally be able to compare the two games.

Mass Effect (4) Musings
It's funny how the trend in the Mass Effect series is how the ending is usually the worst part of any of the games (minus the first one, which I actually liked). Personally, I just want them to shoot for an ending that just doesn't suck. Doesn't even have to be good. Just not awful, since the ending is the last thing we remember about our play experience.

What are you playing now?
Nearing the end of Chapter 2 in my Witcher 2 play through. I'd forgotten how much I liked this game.

What are you playing now?
Decided to replay The Witcher 2 in preparation for the upcoming Witcher game. Still love how much decisions affect the story/events that follow.

What are you playing now?
The entire save. I tried the chapter select option, and the only one available to me is the introduction.

What are you playing now?
Well, that sucks. My save game data for my Metro 2033 game got corrupted for some reason, and now I have to start over a gain. Not really in the mood to replay those levels just to get back to where I was. This is EXACTLY why I loath this trend of developers using autosaves at random spots, rather than allowing a person to manually save anywhere and as much as they want. If I was able to manually save, I'd have a bunch of different saves I could go back to. Instead, there's only one solitary save and it got corrupted.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt [2015]
I hope the good looking armor actually also has good stats. One thing I've always hated about RPGs that allow you to outfit your character with different armors is a lot of the time the best armors, stat-wise, looked goofy. So I'd end up outfitting my character in "weaker" armor, but that actually looked good. Dragon Age was horrible with that, especially when it came to mage hats. "Here's the best hat in the game that makes your mage unstoppable, but he'll look like he's wearing a dunce cap the entire time!"

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt [2015]
That new trailer looks fantastic. I hope the game runs as smoothly as in the trailer.

What are you playing now?
Still playing Metro 2033. Great atmosphere. Some of the shooting sections are a bit annoying, especially when you're in the rail car shooting enemies that you can hardly see (between limited range of view, muzzle flashes, and being shot, it's difficult to pick up where each enemy is). I don't know if one part glitched, but the game didn't exactly do a good job of telling me what I had to do. There was one part where the dialogue said to regroup and defend a certain spot, so I followed the NPC I was with and did that. Wave after wave of enemies kept coming with no relief in sight. Finally, I decided to go exploring deeper to see what was up. Apparently there were two tunnel exits you had to blow up to stop the enemies from flooding in. There was zero indication you needed to do this. It's a good thing I decided to do some exploring otherwise I would have spent all day shooting waves of enemies that never stopped.

RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS
Looking forward to this Deus Ex. I enjoyed Human Revolution, so I'll likely like this.

What are you playing now?
I also think the random banter around you isn't subtitled (unless they changed that in the Redux versions) and quite a bit of it is pretty good. (if not for that I'd probably have played it in Russian with English subtitles) Yeah, that's one of the reasons I went back to English language. The banter you hear from the random groups of characters sitting around chatting isn't subtitled, so you don't know what they're saying.

Dragon Age: Inquisition
Maybe that's BioWare's latest idea on how to artificially up the difficulty.

What are you playing now?
Picked up the combo pack on sale, so now I'm playing some Metro 2033. Good atmosphere, and relatively fun combat (typical FPS shooter, of course). Can't comment on story yet since I'm so early in. I attempted to play it with Russian dialogue and English text/subtitles, but found it too difficult to follow.

The Gamespot review
Gamespot and other "review" sites are shills for whichever publisher pays them the most. Why do you think all the big budget games with the known/rich publishers generally score very good (unless the game is so utterly trash that even kickbacks aren't worth outright lying). The fact PoE got as good a score as it did speaks volumes about its quality.

Dragon Age: Inquisition
Not very. The only real disappointing thing is that the main plot of Hakkon is completely separate from the main plot of the base game. Oh, so it's one of *those* DLC. Was kind of hoping it would build on the existing story, or continued the existing story, or flesh out the existing story rather than be kind of a separate romp.

Dragon Age: Inquisition
So how disappointing is the first DLC?

Finished my second play through of InFamous Second Son, this time choosing all the "evil" options. Now that I've satisfied the completionist in me, it's time to move on to a new game.

Looking more and more forward to this game.
