I keep forgetting to tell Quiet to "cease fire". Twice now she's been sent to the infirmary because she keeps trying to shoot down a gunship helicopter with her non-lethal sniper rifle. On that note, she's great to have around when I'm flitting in and out of a camp. She picks off anyone who even sneezes in my direction before they can raise an alarm.

Who says that? The only people who think the two games are even remotely comparable, quality-wise, are Bio fanboys/fangirls who think anything BioWare produces is the best ever. They were fanboys. Specify, I saw two different YouTube reviewers come to the same conclusion that both games are almost equal. I love DA:O. For years it was my favorite game so it's not like I don't understand their love for the world, but I thought DA:I was at best pretty good while The Witcher 3 is my new favorite game. Anyone who thinks DAI is on par with the Witcher 3 should forever be ignored, as clearly their opinion is wrong and they're not to be trusted with reviewing games.

This is where I miss the days when games came with huge physical copies of game manuals. I had to look online to figure out how to "equip" my upgraded helicopter because I couldn't seem to see an obvious way how to do it (unlike the weapons, which seem to give you a prompt asking you if you want to upgrade to the "best" version of each weapon you have developed).

I gotta pick up that expansion at some point. I loved Dying Light.

Still playing MGSV. I was kind of hoping that when you sent the combat units out on missions instead of Snake, it would recognize the fact. A bit disappointing that the game still acts as though it's Snake on the mission, even when it's Screaming Buffalo.

It's nice having a sniper watch your back and provide covering fire for you. I've unlocked the non-lethal sniper rifle for her, now, so I don't have to worry about her popping a key target by accident.

Still playing through Metal Gear Solid V. Life is so much easier with a silencer on my sniper rifle. Now I can take out enemies in guard towers from a distance without the rest of the enemies in the camp realizing it, whereas before the entire camp would be alerted to my presence as soon as I fired my first shot. I also finally unlocked the knife attachment for D-Dog. Haven't had a chance to try it out in the field yet.

They keep telling me I should check in with Quiet, but she never has anything to say to me when I visit her "room".

Now people can be bored in one single play through rather than having to wait 3 months for the next DLC to be released to be bored with.

Still playing and loving Metal Gear Solid V. I need to find a transportation specialist in the worst possible way. I googled it, so I know now where to look. Now it's just a matter of pulling it off (stealth and me don't get along too well, so we'll see how it goes).

^Can't do the fulton trick because I haven't researched/unlocked the ability to fulton out vehicles/large weapons yet. The biggest thing I can fulton out at this point are mortars and those small machine gun emplacements. So I guess I'll put off that mission until Mother Base is large enough for me to do that upgrade.

I'm also having trouble with that one main story mission where you have to destroy those two tanks. I only have the most basic RPG unlocked, and the thing does absolutely no damage to the tanks. Plus, their targeting is like perfect and as soon as they lock on, I'm done. I tried calling in helicopter support, but all that did is get my helicopter blown up.

Got "Quiet". It happened by accident, too. I was going to do a side-op, but I had to pass by that region to reach it. When I walked near where she was, it automatically triggered a cutscene and the mission began.

They still mumble a bunch of gibberish.. only with subtitles! Well yeah, but at least you get useful intel out of them now. Before I'd just get Ocelot telling me that I need an interpreter every time I tried to get one of them to talk.
-
Snake is more Rambo with me controlling him than James Bond. I just don't seem to have the patience to do stealth for the big camps. It's okay if there's only 4 or 5 enemies in a camp, I can do the whole stealth thing. But once I come across a big camp, with double digits in enemies, I pretty much end up having to shoot my way through.

Still playing MGSV. Built myself a sniper rifle. I wish it had a silencer, though. Love sniping enemies from a distance and watching them scramble trying to determine where the shot came from, but after two or three get dropped the rest figure out where I'm shooting from. Building Mother Base is a bit of a chore at the moment. One ingredient (minor metals) seem to be in scarce supply around the area I've unlocked at this point. Everything else I seem to have in abundance except for that.

I finally have a language interpreter. So now I can actually interrogate enemies I've subdued rather than just them mumbling a bunch of gibberish. I really do suck at stealth, though. Most missions I start out well, but as soon as I'm nearing my goals -- whether it be rescuing someone, finding an item, or whatever -- I seem to set off the entire base's alarm and end up having to run-and-gun my way out.
-
I'm still trying to work out what triggers a base in MGSV to go from low alert status to moderate, where they begin to actively search around. On one mission, I hadn't alerted any of the guards. I'd never gotten any indication they saw me. I'd knocked out a few guards, but either hid them in trash bins or had them airlifted out. Yet suddenly, as I'm approaching my target, I see them starting to run around like they're aware someone is in the camp. It makes the stealth approach kind of difficult if they're alerted to something just for some random sake, rather than because I was sloppy and got caught either moving about or left a body out in the open (which I did neither of).

I'm pretty sure there's a prompt that pops up to tell you that if you continue with the current mission, it leads to the end-game. So you should be safe if you haven't seen that prompt yet. 99% sure anyway. It's been a couple of months since I last played TW3.

I believe finishing the main objective will be the one that always triggers the end of the mission. It's similar to how Peace Walker worked where you could play missions multiple times to try and get a better ending. I would say though, that I recommend just going with the flow of the game and going back to get better rankings on missions later. Ah okay, thanks. I'm still getting used to the button controls. Every now and then Snake will stand up straight from a prone position with enemies around because I pressed that button by mistake.
-
I finished the first mission (rescuing a certain someone), but I didn't complete all 6 objectives on that "map". Now I'm going back to finish them, but the main objective (the rescue) comes up again. Do I have to do the rescue again, or can I just mop up the tasks I didn't finish the first time without screwing up my progress in the story?
-
^haha I should pay more attention. I didn't even know you could order supply drops. I think a part of it is my focus is entirely on sneaking around and not being found, so if that dude is giving me intel in my ear I'm not hearing it completely because I'm too concerned with "oh geez, did they just hear me bump into that crate?".
-
Hmm. Playing through MGSV and somehow my silencer broke on me while I was in the middle of clearing out a town. Now I've got half the enemies still walking around, and I have to do so with a gun that everyone within a mile can hear.

Started Metal Gear Solid V. That prologue was like a trip on acid (or what I'd assume a trip on acid would be like -- I've never done drugs *whistles innocently*). Maybe this plays a part later on, but what was the point of me creating a new face for Snake? If it's a spoiler for the story, don't tell me. But if it's something that doesn't really spoil the story, spill it.
