I got that dialogue option, and I passed the requirement. But even saying that to him, he still doesn't agree to let her go. I really think the quest is bugged for me because I didn't happen to save her from the bomb at the exact moment the game requires you to in order to keep the proper chain of events for a peaceful ending going. you actually have to use the kiss ass and then you get a smart ass option and then you can convince him I'm pretty sure I passed both "special dialogue" requirements and still didn't get the optimal outcome. Oh well, I'm skipping that quest for now since I'm past the point where a lot of "triggers" seem to occur to get the peaceful solution. Maybe if I play it a second time I'll do things step by step to make sure it works.

You experienced a lot of bugs with Inquisition? My main gripe were design-related issues, not technical (ie. boring sidequests).

Nah, you don't. Rail Nomad spoilers follow. The problem is I never came across that bomb until after the quest had already begun. I could defuse the bomb, but there was no one near it. The daughter had already been kidnapped by the time I came across the bomb on the bike. So apparently for it to work "right" (ie. the peaceful ending), you basically have to have events unfold EXACTLY one way? Missing out on having to save the girl from the bike bomb screws the chance to ever have a peaceful ending?

I might either have to skip the quest until I find a fix (every place I've looked online, there's no solution for the PS4/XBox One crowd) for this specific hiccup, or just play through the quest and see one side massacred. Neither are appealing options.

You have to actually type something special in. I'm playing the console version (PS4). There is no option to type anything, that I've seen. It's annoying because I actually passed one of the special dialogue speech requirements (high enough kiss ass skill). Yet it does nothing. The chief responds to me just like he would if that option wasn't available to him.

More Wasteland 2. I can't seem to get the two rail nomad tribes to settle things peacefully. No matter what I do, no matter how many favors or how many "special dialogue" options I pick, they end up shooting each other. It's frustrating.

Still traversing the Wasteland (2). I think I tackled the Ag Center too early. Because now that I'm past it, I'm finding the other tasks/missions I have are relatively easy when it comes to combat encounters.
-
More Wasteland 2. My sniper seems to be regressing as she levels up. Before, she was almost a guaranteed hit. Now, she's constantly missing shots at 72% success chance. Good thing the rest of my party, particularly my melee fighters, can mop up. Enjoying the game for the most part. The camera angle when traveling the map is ... odd. Maybe I'm just not used to it, but the camera angle always makes it seem like I'm ducking down to try and see more of the screen ahead. Kind of like driving a car with your sun shade all the way down. You gotta duck and peek under to see the road fully.

Finished off Ag Center in Wasteland 2. Thank God Rose and Angela joined my crew, otherwise I'd have been sunk. Angela, in particular, was money in combat. She kept hitting the enemy while the rest of my party (minus my sniper) kept missing.

Giant rabbits are going to give me nightmares.

Okay, I ended up blowing up the door with TNT. Sucks, because that was the last stick of explosives I had in inventory and didn't really want to use it on something that should have been solvable without it. My party was dangerously close to dying, too. I ran out of stuff to regain health (forget what it's called), so I had to wait until they leveled up to regain full health. Angie Deth was down to about 5 health.

I was on my way to doing the Ace investigation when I got the distress call from Ag Center. I figured it was on the way, so why not. Apparently that was a mistake. Also, a damn bug is making moving forward in the game difficult/impossible. Skinner is behind a door that I need to get through, but I examined the door first rather than interact with it. Problem is now there is no interact option, and my lockpick and brutal force skills are too low to open the door an alternate way. I might just restart.

Paradox Interactive Acquires White Wolf Publishing

Hopefully this means a new RPG is on the horizon from Obsidian! -
I'm responding to that Ag Center distress call. The combat itself isn't the issue, it's the other stuff (opening doors, etc.) where my party doesn't seem to have nearly enough skill. For instance, one door needs to be lockpicked, but I've only had chance to level up once and my best lockpicker's success rate on that door sits at a paltry 13% success chance. There's also the fact that the two NPCs I've picked up so far (Angela Deth and the female Dr.) are like 4 or 5 levels higher than my party. It's just left me wondering why my party is so under-leveled for what should be the first quest of the game.

Still playing Wasteland 2. It feels like my party is way too low of a level for the map I'm on. But it's not like I had time to "grind". I got sent on this mission right away. But I can't do a thing because my party's skill in various attributes is low.

It didn't help that their guy with a gun didn't miss.
-
One was a sniper, one was a rifleman, one shotgun, and one pistols. The sniper was actually a few squares away. The other three were within 1 or 2 squares.
-
Also, a minor annoyance at the % chance to hit enemies in Wasteland 2. My squad had a guy surrounded, literally like one or two squares next to the guy. The entire combat round my team had a 23% chance to hit him (and obviously kept missing), despite being RIGHT NEXT TO HIM. On his turn, he simply walked up to each squad member and bashed them to death with a pipe. Didn't miss once.

Playing some Wasteland 2 on the PS4. I saw three party members die in my first combat encounter all because I can't figure out how to stop them from bleeding out.

This might just convince me to get a XBox One.

Both my online orders are "shipped" from the retailer, but still in transit with the delivery vehicle. I hate this state of limbo. Hopefully they arrive by tomorrow so I'll have something to play again.

It was talked about in the PoE documentary. That's crazy.

Obsidian was in dire straights (almost bankrupt) before PoE got KSed. With PoE they were able to forestall that. Now if they don't have the cash to fund the next PoE installment they are in deep **** again, until they KS again (and then it depends if people will even fund). If they have enough cash to fund PoE2 they can try to KS another game and secure their foreseeable future. Pretty easy to see the difference there. Was the bolded ever actually confirmed? Or was it based on speculation due to a lack of known projects?

It's amazing considering how popular the Star Trek franchise is how few games there are based on it.
