Gah! Didn't realize it was out yet for the PS4. *goes to buy it*

Ordered the Nathan Drake collection for the PS4. Should be arriving by mail sometime this week, possibly Tuesday or Wednesday. In the meantime, I'll be twiddling my thumbs.

I made one last attempt at the target practice SideOps in MGSV. I finished 5 of the 7 missions, only to lose ALL my progress because on the 6th mission I fell from up high when climbing to reach a target and died. Not only did that current mission reset, but so did ALL OF THEM. So stupid. It should autosave after each completion.
-
Tried MGSV online for like 2 seconds. Didn't like it, backed out, and now am looking for something new to play.
-
Jeez, that's stupid. I'll never finish those target practices. Seriously, the first was so frustrating and confusing that I never bothered with the rest. I am currently grinding for the Architect achievement. I also have to beat [extreme]Sahelanthropus to get the achievement for the main missions but it's pretty damn hard and you get instant deaths whenever Sahelanthropus launches those goddamn homing missles. I haven't bothered attempting those "extreme" or "full stealth" missions. I played them already, so they felt awkward as part of the story since it's basically a repeat of what I already did. I remember even the first Sahelanthropus mission kicked my ass. I eventually had to call in the gunship to help me take his health down so I had any chance of beating him (it).

Says the guy that played, what, the prologue?

Guess I answered my own question tonight. Finished off all SideOps other than those target practice ones on Mother Base, but didn't unlock the achievement for completing all side missions. Guess those 7 are included. Damn.
-
I have 3 more wandering puppets SideOps to go before I'm done all the SideOps, with the exception of the base "target practice" ones. Does anyone know if I need to do the base shooting ones to unlock the achievement for completing all SideOps?
-
So it's less tactics and stealth gameplay and more general CoD lobby with random run-and-gunners.
-
What version does she play? PS4, same as me.

I watched one of those "Let's Play" videos on Youtube where the girl who voices/models the character Quiet from MGSV plays through MGSV. She can pull off headshots that I can't. I don't know whether to be embarrassed or if I'm in love.

I played it with a buddy and it was a lot of fun. Bounty Hunter mode is fun if you want to shoot stuff and go for CQCs(it's really satisfying to fulton an enemy that has a high bounty) and Cloak and Dagger mode is fun if you want to be more stealthy, each player has only one life so people do some amazing things to hide themselves. The stealth one would probably frustrate me to no end. I'm not very good at stealth play against AI opponents, so I'd probably never be able to hide from actual people trying to find me.

More MGSV. Decided to finish off some SideOps I still had remaining. In doing so, I was able to unlock the achievement for raising my staff to level 50 for each department.
-
Maybe I'll attempt the multiplayer for MGSV. Anyone played it yet? Fun? Disorganized mess?

AP is one of those gems that people overlook because of its flaws. It always amused me, however, that the flaws in AP were exaggerated, while similar flaws (or sometimes worse ones) in these Triple-A games get completely overlooked.

It's actually not like that at all, especially considering various events change depending on decisions you made. Thus, it lends itself to at least a second play through just to see what happens if you do the "opposite" of every decision you made the first time. As for the question marks, simple solution. Don't bother with them? Turn them off in the options menu, then only tackle stuff that you actually come across instead of worrying about that one question mark in the middle of nowhere that's nothing more than a sunken chest.
-
Hmm, alright then. Saves me from replaying it to see the other endings. I thought maybe it had to do with how you approached things in the game (ie. one ending if you played a non-lethal game, one ending if you killed everything in sight, etc.).
-
No. What the heck is Angry Joe talking about in his review? Unless he just means different endings for how you can approach each mission.
-
There's multiple endings for Metal Gear Solid V?
-
Maybe it's just me, but unless the microtransactions affect the main game (ie. certain quests can't be done without buying stuff, certain content for the main story is affected by them, etc.) I'm not bothered by their inclusion. For instance, I just finished MGSV. The only part of the game that was affected by the microtransactions was the FOB missions, which aren't even necessary to finish the game. Personally, I see no issue with gaming companies adding them *as long as they don't impact the main game and you can play through it without being forced to do microtransactions*.
-
Finished MGSV. Saw that twist coming right from the beginning. The game leaves so many untied threads. Sucks for a person like me who has no idea what went on in the rest of the series since all the loose ends seem to be answered in other games in the series. Overall, despite my bitching about the second chapter, it was a very solid (pardon the pun) game. Some fun stealth elements, some nice weapons available to you, and until it went off the rails, the story was pretty good.
-
What's the point behind this idea? To force people to play the FOB missions and online stuff?
-
It never delves into where she's originally from. She speaks with Stefanie Joosten's (the voice actress) accent, though. Not sure if that was intentional, or if it was because Joosten couldn't pull off an English or American accent perfectly.
-
No, in that area they are different. The model/voice actress is a slender little thing.
-
Speaking of Quiet (hehe), I just googled her voice actress/motion capture actress. Holy smokes, I've never seen a character look so much like the person portraying them. And then there's Miranda from ME2 ...
