  1. Finished Uncharted 2. The end battle was, once again, not to my enjoyment. But the rest of the game was very good. Great story, great dialogue/acting, and fun combat and climbing elements. I recognized Claudia Black's voice right away as Chloe.
  2. In Tibet. Just finished that long cutscene where Drake wakes up in that house with the guy who doesn't speak English, who brings him to the old guy who does. The last save I made said I'm 54% completed the campaign. Nice. How did you like the train ride? :D Honestly, I didn't mind it. A good mix of gun play and climbing/jumping/timing. There seems to be a lot more climbing areas in Uncharted 2 than there was in the first one. I kind of like it. I'm also enjoying the story more (so far).
  3. In Tibet. Just finished that long cutscene where Drake wakes up in that house with the guy who doesn't speak English, who brings him to the old guy who does. The last save I made said I'm 54% completed the campaign.
  4. When does Boxscar Sally or whatever her name is start showing up in Sanctuary Hills constantly? I can't remember when she first arrived, but she seemed to live there. Every time I'd fast travel to Sanctuary Hills, she'd be there on the street right outside the house with the workbench. 'Course, she might just be stuck there because her Brahmin kept getting stuck on the roof of one of the houses in town. Not sure what is up with that.
  5. I'm about halfway through Uncharted 2. The story is actually longer than the first one, and it seems by quite a bit. Took me 3 days to finish the first one. This one will probably take me 4 or 5 days.
  6. I'm not sure what length you were expecting from an action adventure and that on easy diff? :D I was comparing it to my recollection of the old Tomb Raider games. The first Drake game I finished in like 3 days. I seem to recall it taking a lot longer than 3 days to finish the old Tomb Raiders.
  7. If you figure out a strategy for the end-game, please share ... I can't beat him on Hard and it takes an hour of trying on Normal. My running-and-gunning-in-circles style just doesn't work. 141 hours in two weeks playing MGSV and only 40% Completion. House is a mess, haven't bought groceries or done laundry since December. I'm not going to be much help to you. I always play the first time through a game on Easy.
  8. I'm on to Uncharted 2: Among Thieves. So far, I think it's better than the first one. It's a fun series, but they seem very short. I'll be through the three games in no time, in preparation for Uncharted 4's release.
  9. Enjoyed the first of the Nathan Drake games, apart from the end battle. Then again, I can't recall the last time a game ever did an "end fight" well.
  10. I wasn't comparing the graphics. And I meant the old Tomb Raider games, where you had a lot of jumping and climbing through various tombs, ruins, and other various landscape.
  11. Started the Nathan Drake collections that I'd picked up for the PS4 last fall. Just started the first game; it's good, so far. Not quite Tomb Raider-levels because of the lack of free roaming/climbing, but still a lot of fun. The graphics actually hold up well, too. Only complaint so far is I'd like a bit more exploration/climbing/treasure hunting.
  12. That's exactly the kind of thing I'm referring to when it comes to how the game feels like Bethesda quit halfway through. That should have been a major quest, with major consequences depending on what you decide. Instead, it's just a minor quest that's easily missed. FO4 is chock full of such underdeveloped storylines.
  13. Sounds anticlimactic.
  14. How does it get resolved? I got the Institute quest my first play through, and it just kept sending me to pick up reports. Granted, I gave up after the second or third "repeat" quest because I figured it was like the Minutemen repeating quests. But there didn't seem to be resolution to it (ie. I was never able to "expose" him to anyone and bring in someone new).
  15. As I played through, I noticed just how little there was to do in Diamond City. Especially consider certain, um, individuals who hold notable positions there. Nothing gets resolved in that regard, however. It's like Bethesda was halfway through writing the story and realized the game had to be shipped the next day. "Oh well, our fans won't notice the hundred plot threads left dangling. They'll just craft an explanation in their own mind."
  16. Are any of the recent remakes/PS4 ports of the Final Fantasy games any good? I see Final Fantasy Type-O on Best Buy's website, but I don't know if it was well received its first time out.
  17. Did a bit of a speed run to finish with the Railroad. It seems all factions are bloodthirsty bastards in this game. No one ever seems to want to even attempt a peaceful solution.
  18. That's pretty much the perspective one needs to take with FO4. If you go into the game playing it for the story, or even hoping for a decent story, you'll be disappointed.
  19. I kind of want to play FF12 again, but it's only on the PS2, and my PS2 is ... I don't even know where I put it. My TV has the newer generation consoles hooked up the wazoo.
  20. Maybe it's my juvenile humor but, Curie's kind of amusing to have around as a companion. Just her little comments whenever I either kill someone or pick things up off dead bodies. Oh, and she's hot.
  21. The one made by the FF Tactics guys? I never finished it, they made me fight 2 gruelling boss fights in a row for some artifact only to have the bad guys show up and take it from me as soon as I was done so I rage quit. To be honest, I can't recall the specifics of the game -- it's been a while. I just remember liking both the open exploration feel, plus I liked the characters and story.
  22. I liked the last Final Fantasy for the PS2. Might have been 12? It just fit my preferences.
  23. I finally found Curie. I had to go back to Vault 81 to recruit her, even though I clearly told her to head to Sanctuary Hills the previous time I met her. Also, the companion pathfinding continues to annoy me. They refuse to get in elevators, they bump into me when I'm trying to sneak through a door, and they do absolutely nothing during combat other than get hurt to the point I have to stimpak them. They're pack mules and nothing more. And they're not even good at that, since they can't carry much weight.
  24. Or just let Obsidian do the entire game and Bethesda can supply the marketing for the game. FO:NV >>> any Bethesda FO titles
