Crafted my first two pieces of purple (superior) equipment in the Division. Unfortunately, the blueprints were only for a bag and a hand gun. I was hoping for an assault rifle or sub machine gun. The one issue I have with crafting is I find material is rather scarce, and so by the time I have enough material for a good weapon or armor, my level is well above that of that item.

The Dark Zone in the Division seems to eat me alive. Maybe it's because I'm low level (relatively speaking), but I get murdered whenever I come across a group of thugs. And extracting gear? Ha! Forget about it. I get swarmed by enemies from all sides and constantly either get killed or miss the extraction because I'm hiding behind cover. The lag doesn't help, either. Seriously, I keep harping on this but it's just pathetic. Half the time I play, my game is lagged to hell. I'll score a perfect head shot, and it will take 5 seconds before it shows up as a headshot kill.

Would he be considered a mage or a cleric? Parting the Red Sea and rising from the dead spell seems mage-ish, but he's got that whole healing ability that clerics use so well.

What the actual eff with the Division servers? I can't even play a session without major lag. It makes any combat encounters unplayable because I'm shooting at enemies and watching nothing happen, only to then see my health down to blinking red a second later because apparently the game skipped ahead 30 seconds in time.

And just when I said I couldn't find a sniper rifle, I find a sniper rifle. Actually, I believe it was a blueprint to a blue sniper rifle that I had enough material to build. It's actually pretty good. I can usually one or two shot the enemy with it from range, then mop up any that come in close with my MP5. My turret also shoots flames now, so there's that. Like a lot of open world-esque games, I find myself forgetting about the main story missions and just doing all the side content. It's to the point where I'm forgetting exactly what's going on.

"-INSERT ENEMY FACTION HERE- have -kidnapped/killed/attacked/oppressed- someone's/your -INSERT LOVED ONE HERE- so I need you to travel to -INSERT MYSTERIOUS AND FAMED LOCATION HERE- to get revenge/save them/stop it from happening again." Little do you know that once there, you'll discover the sinister intentions of a major faction, forcing you to get involved with the local conflict for the good of the locals! That pretty much sums up Bethesda main plot writing for Fallout games in general. What you wrote is actually a much stronger motive for the player to get involved in these conflicts than what is usually used in Bethesda games.

The lag in the Division is slowly making me lose interest. It seems like it's 50/50 whether I'll be able to actually play a mission without it lagging to hell. This past mission, quite a few of the sections involved me seeing enemies in the distance, then the next second I'm almost dead because the enemy is right next to me shooting me. On the flip side, when it doesn't lag it's actually a pretty fun game. It's just that it's hit or miss whether that will be the case.

I can't seem to find a sniper rifle. I've currently got a zoomed in scope attached to my SCAR which kind of acts like a sniper rifle, but that's the closest I've seen. Also, some of these materials and item pickups are found in very frustrating to reach places. I don't know how to reach some of them because there doesn't seem to be any door leading inside the building, nor any ladders to climb to the roof.

Oh, and in a brain freeze moment, for the longest time I didn't realize you could combine green materials to create a blue material. I was running all over the map trying to find blue material drops, when all I had to do was deconstruct the various green weapons I had and combine the parts.

The lag for the Division servers is ridiculous, though. Half the time I log on and try to play, the game is lagged to all hell. I'll come across a mission and start shooting at the enemies, nothing happens, until suddenly I'm dying because apparently I got shot by enemies who weren't even on the screen a second ago. Nothing annoys me more in online games than lag.

I've got a blue uzi that seems to do really well for me, even though it's only a level 4 (my current level is level 9). I haven't found a better sub machine gun than it. I was carrying around a SCAR as my rifle, but it had a high damage but low DPS because it shot so slow. It was okay if I was against one enemy, but garbage for multiples.
-
DPS it is, then. Also, what exactly does the cumulative DPS score (that you see at the top of your character sheet along with health and power ability) do? Determines how much damage you do as a character or ..? And what does the armor score of weapons affect? I have a health total (the second column in the above), but what does the armor score of weapons and armor actually do?

The flamethrower guys in the Division are the most annoying enemy ever. Especially the ones who have "shields" you have to whittle down before you can start working on their health bar. Just finished a side quest where there were a bunch of level 7 flamethrower guys, and they just ate away at my group of 4 agents. It was ridiculous considering that before and after that, we took on level 9 enemies (including an elite boss) with no trouble. But you just can't escape those flamethrower guys when they walk up to you. I'm trying to figure out what's better: a gun with a high DPS or a gun with high damage. Thoughts?

I don't know if the Division servers were having issues tonight or what, but I had the entire map to myself when I was playing. Even the hubs, which usually have a lot of activity, had absolutely no one but me there. Which kind of sucks because I'm starting to like having random people joining my group and tackling missions with some help.
-
Hahaha good one. Me play any game on any difficulty but the easiest one. You're funny.
-
Hmm. This last mission was relatively easy when three other players joined my group. Although it did get kind of annoying when one guy would run ahead and it felt like I had to rush my way through levels I wanted to explore otherwise he'd end up killing the main bosses before I even showed up.
-
Played more of the Division. Okay, I'm starting to enjoy it more now that I'm in Manhattan. I have my privacy settings set to open, so people can randomly join my group. One guy helped me finish off a side mission. I didn't realize you had to share the loot, though, so I ended up taking everything that dropped. Oops.
-
So I decided to play the Division today. I'm still uncertain how the whole co-op/multiplayer component actually works. I undertook a side mission where it said someone joined my party, but yet I didn't see them actually shooting anything during the mission until they got shot/killed. Like, they were invisible on my screen until they were in that death-crouch waiting for revival. I also do not like the shooting mechanics in this game. Maybe I'm used to more accuracy with FPS style of Destiny, but it seems like I'm unloading my clip into the enemy and missing more than hitting when he's running at me, and he drops my health down to dangerous levels after a couple of hits.

At the rate I'm going, I might match that length of time. I picked up the Taken King in late ... March, maybe? I expected to play through the story quests, wrap up the extra content, then put the game away. I did all that about a week after I picked up TTK, and yet I've been non stop at it since then doing daily bounties (with Iron Banner also pulling me in). I think a part of it is I'm a "level up to the max" type of gamer. If there are still levels for my character to reach, I'm not satisfied until I reach them. And right now, my characters aren't at the max level yet so I still have something to play for.
-
I don't know why I'm still addicted to doing the daily bounties in Destiny. They really are repetitive and not overly in depth, but for some reason I feel compelled to do them and earn faction gains each day. One of these days I'll actually put Destiny aside and try the Division again. I swear it.
-
Are you still in the tutorial area? It should only take about an hour to get out of there. I enjoyed it quite a bit once I took back city hall and started exploring the whole New York area. Hmm. Yeah, I'm likely still in the tutorial area. Maybe I'll push through and see if I enjoy it once I get to the main part of the game.
-
To those who are playing/have played the Division, does it really get better? I was turned off the game because of the beginning. It was so empty and nothing was going on other than the mission you're given. I'm having trouble convincing myself to give it another go because of how boring the first part is.

I am crazy about Triss, I always want to Romance her ..I'm not use to Yennefer and I would expect her to show me more attention in the future if she expects Romance This game is everything I could ask for any non-isometric RPG....seriously its amazing how much thought went into design and questing, also the crafting and alchemy is very interesting Play the card game, Gwent. I swear I thought it was dumb when I first started playing TW3, but by the end of the game I was absolutely hooked and spent time looking for the best cards. It's an addictive game.
-
Also, you absolutely have to try and romance both Triss and Yennefer in the same play through. I learned a hard lesson about trying to have my cake and eating it too. (On a random note: that's such a silly saying. Why would you NOT want to eat your cake?!)

You must,...but since I'm currently played W3 I'm horribly biased...and I'll probably get to play the expansions as part of my first play through But I very, very seldom ever replay any game ..in fact only GTA IV, I dont like the fact I know how the game ends with any replay..that's what puts me off The Witcher 3's ending changes quite a bit depending on your choices. There's even a potential "boss fight" depending on what you choose.
