  1. I'm still trying to understand why Hades hates KotOR so much...could someone enlighten me? because he's a Fallout fanboy and is pissed off that KOTOR 2 is being developed by developers he feels betrayed him by not developing Fallout 3. Plus he's a 30+ year old grouch he seems to get his only satisfaction bitching and moaning on a message board
  2. Apparently you don't understand the concept of "Adapting".
  3. I couldn't really get in to them because they had a huge amount of space combat (no kidding, eh). I'm more in to ground missions and of course Hades' favorite, Jedi combat.
  4. Seems that people either really like the series or think it's complete garbage, rarely in between. I personally enjoyed it. I guess because I was tired of reading stories about Luke/Leia/Han being the central characters in them. Atleast the NJO involves the "new generation" in the series.
  5. If you don't understand the argument, then go somewhere else to post instead of showing off your ignorance. While I do agree that Zabrak Maul isn't adding anything to the discussion, I just find it ironic that Hades_One is making this statement of all people.
  6. Considering I have no idea who Atris is, other than the "white haired chick", and I've only see her concept art and have no idea what "type" of character she is, I'll stick with the prissy chick with the British accent.
  7. But we don't know yet just how much action or experience the PC got in the Mandalorian Wars. He might have just been in them without actually doing much during it. For example, the current crisis in Iraq. A recruit who doesn't see any more action other than to work in a hospital or fly the helicopter that drops troops in certain areas wouldn't have as much experience as those who are actually fighting on the front lines.
  8. I never thought Bastila's boobs were that big. Perky, yes, but not large. The female PC on the other hand....I had to buy extra strength armor just to keep those puppies from putting out an eye when she ran.
  9. I always wore the robes, except on my last play thru when I went with an entire bounty hunter party and decked everyone out in armor.
  10. I should sign up under different names just to ensure that the Sullustan empire will rise.
  11. Really? Weird. She's standing there waiting for you when you enter the west most (i think it's west) area, right by the cantina and judges room and the hallway leading to the cells.
  12. You're supposed to talk to Sunry's wife and she'll tell you about his charges (if Jolee is with you). Then go to the court and talk to the judges about being the arbiter in his trial. It becomes self explanitory from there.
  13. If Obsidian actually wanted Bastila's role to be minimal or nonexistant, I believe they have no one but themselves to blame for placing the timeline only 5 years later. As has been suggested, if TSL was about 50 or so years later, then it'd be a lot more feasible to not have Bastila be involved in the story in anything but a mere mention capacity. As it is, the games are too close together not to mention her without making an awful lot of people upset, not to mention tampering with continuity.
  14. I guess my answer depends on the rest of the party. But if 2 or more people use non-Jedi, then so will I. If the entire party wants to be Jedi then so will I.
  15. Personally, I liked Ep.2 much better than Ep.1. The only thing I disliked about Ep.2 was the cheesey scenes on Naboo with Anakin and Padme. I literally cringe when I those scenes. I thought the rest of the movie was pretty interesting.
  16. That's still under wraps. But i believe the exact wording is you're the last known Jedi alive. Maybe the Jedi Council on Coruscant just went in to hiding.
  17. Time limits would suck. When I play these types of games, one of the things I enjoy doing is travelling around and finding every possible little nuance the game has given you. I don't want to have to skip over a small section of the game just because I have to make it to a certain point at a certain time. MAYBE if it's implemented where you're in a Sith base and you're against 5 Sith soldiers, but they hit the alarm. If you complete your objective before the "time" runs out, you only have to face those 5 Sith soldiers. But if the time runs out, back up arrives and now you have to face 10 additional soldiers. In other words, it gets harder, but it doesn't get impossible like the original poster stated. But like I said, I enjoy investigating everything within a particular section of the game. I don't want a time limit rushing me.
  18. IMO, if they just kill Bastila off with no real purpose other than to avoid having her in KOTOR2, that would show a lack of creativity on Obsidian's part. There are countless ways that she can be incorporated into the story without having to make her one of the central focusses again. So IMO, there's no reason, other than laziness, why she shouldn't be alive in TSL.
  19. I think the key difference though, is that in ANH, it was never really stated or believed to be that ALL the Empire's top guys and their entire army was on the Death Star. In fact, they made mention of the Emperor disbanding the senate, indicating they still had a high ranking character in the Empire still around, not to mention the fact Vader wasn't killed. In KOTOR, the entire reason for the huge Sith forces was the Star Forge and Darth Malak. They made it seem as though there wasn't a huge army holding back somewhere in case the Star Forge was destroyed. They also gave no indication that there were any powerful Sith Lords other than Malak waiting in the wings.
  20. That's what bothers me the most about only having a 5 year gap between KOTOR 1 and 2. Yes, 5 years is a pretty good length of time, but to go from the events of that last scene in KOTOR in the LS ending, to where the Jedi are either extinct or in hiding is quite drastic. If TSL was put maybe 30 or more years later, then I think it'd make a more reasonable excuse, regardless of how it's explained.
  21. If Obsidian does not develop KOTOR3 (assuming there is one), has that ever happened before where 3 different developers have worked on a series?
  22. I'll go with 50%. Basically because that represents the two possible choices in the last game (redeem her/have her join you as your apprentice OR kill her). In other words, she either lives (50%) or dies (50%) in the events of the first game.
  23. I could have sworn that was posted already. I remember reading it.
