Ironically, KOTOR is what got me into all the other cRPGs. I wasn't a big fan of RPGs until I played KOTOR and stumbled upon forums like this one where everyone was discussing the other cRPGs they'd played. I decided to check them out and I've been hooked ever since.
No more than 2 titles per year.....so if you count Battle Front, Republic Commando, SW Galaxies, and Empire at War, plus any sequels to Mercenaries, that means we won't be seeing KOTOR3 until....2011?
On that list (since i'm too lazy to make my own), I'd say NWN2, Empire at War, and FO3 (despite Volo insisting it will suck, which really makes me think it will be awesome).
I've played the Paladin trilogy (actually 2, is the 3rd one out yet?), I've played a couple of the guild ones where you join a thieving guild. I've played that long ass one and various others, about 8 or 9 in total.
I tend to stick to the longer ones as I'm not a big fan of short games. Which is another reason I'm hesitant to play the premium modules since they're in the 4 to 8 hour range.
Something like that. I think it's easiest to think of a Moff as the president or prime minister of a country, while anyone with a General, Commander, Admiral, etc. rank is actually in the army/navy forces in "earth terms".
I'd even go so far as to suggest that with a better ending it'd be remembered as quite a memorable story. Alas, the ending of a game is usually what most people remember, so it automatically sours people on the rest of the game.
You'd be surprised at what lengths people go to on the internet. I recall someone making up an entire identity for a person, downloading an entire picture album, making a geocities site and making up background information about a girl just to prove to some internet buddies that he was infact dating this "girl".
Not necessarily saying that's what Jambo did. But that nothing surprises me anymore.
In terms of ease of transformation into Jedi for me:
1-Handmaiden
2-Atton
3-Mira
4-Disciple (only ranked so low because you have to play as female, otherwise he'd probably be #1)
5-Bao-dur (have never converted him)
Ontario here (Eastern time zone for those who have no clue about Canada).
The only one I've ever played is oldschool Star Wars (I don't even know what system that is), so I'll be a n00b regardless.
But of the ones mentioned so far I'm a definite for Star Wars, WoD and DnD. I'm a maybe for anything else mentioned.
I don't think that's the case. I didn't talk to him right after that Refugee chat with the Twi'leks, yet I could turn him later on when I finally decided to bring him along with me.
My main problem (as I've stated probably numerous times now) with JE was the fact that it became extremely linear at such an early part of the story, atleast IMO. I was shocked that I was riding the climax train as soon as I entered the Lotus Assassin fortress.
I think I miss most of Calax's posts because he usually doesn't seem to type much other than a bit of spam. I notice Eddo's posts because he attempts to post, even though the topics are more often than not.....strange.
