  1. I think it was more done as a public relations thing to show the fans they're sorry or whatever. I don't think the Rangers struggle to draw crowds either.
  2. You could have just quoted me and said "what he said". "
  3. Speaking of tickets, is anyone going to New York to take up their offer for free tickets to 2 games this season? Something like the first 1000 people get a voucher for 2 free tickets to a Rangers game. I wonder if the Leafs or Sens will have something similar.
  4. How do you figure he'll be "felt"? As the EU has stated, there were seemingly countless Force sensitives alive during the whole Jedi Purge era. Yet they were able to keep from being "felt". Not to mention the two obvious ones in Yoda and Obi-Wan. Don't forget that Vader had to actually be near someone (ie. his feeling Obi-Wan's presence only when Obi-Wan was within the visinity of the Death Star, his feeling Luke's presence when Luke was in the Lamda shuttle right near the Executor). Since we've established the universe/galaxy is such a huge place, in order for Vader to "feel" the presence of the PC he'd have to atleast happen upon the same system as the PC. Keep in mind I'm not talking about the PC saving the galaxy like Revan did in KOTOR I. I'm talking a more centralized plot, perhaps spanning just a couple of systems and a half dozen planets. In the grand scheme of what was going on at that time, a system conflict would hardly show up on the Emperor or Vader's radar.
  5. I'm not a big fan of racing games. The only one I ever enjoyed was the old NASCAR game by Papyrus.
  6. Which was the game in the DF/JA series that made you play as a non-Force sensitive? Was that just Dark Forces I?
  7. Which is why I still think it's pointless to suggest story-related suggestions. With game feature or item suggestions, atleast the devs can say "hmm..hooded robes, yeah we can do that". But I don't see whoever is writing the story to use someone else's material.
  8. If the ending of the game wraps up with your Jedi going in to hiding, then it can work. Obi-Wan was a Jedi, yet he was able to go in to hiding without much problem. Why is it a stretch to think the new PC can't do the same? Solve whatever crisis takes place in the game, then at the end he disappears into obscurity like Obi-Wan did. It's a big universe. It's not like the entire galaxy would know who he is everywhere he goes. They don't have to know the PC is Force sensitive. Look at Taris. The planet was under Sith quarantine and looking out for an escaped Jedi, and two republic fugetives, yet you, Carth and Bastila were still able to walk freely and interact with the general population. Sure some might call that a plothole, but the point being if done properly, the PC just has to be "under cover" to hide his true identity.
  9. No trade clause? Oh but that would mean the player would have to take a slightly lower salary to give them the freedom to say where they can play. How unfair. Not to mention that most jobs, if the company tells you you're moving somewhere, you either do it, or you can find yourself another job. I'm not sure why professional sports should be different. They already get paid ridiculous amounts as it is.
  10. I'll be more excited when we have all the specifics agreed upon (ie. how we're going to do this, the groundrules, etc.).
  11. Polls like these should not include the game(s) made by the forum owners. It's not really accurate since a lot of posters on a developer's website are generally fanboy/fangirls. I'm sure if you went to a Vampire: the Masquerade forum that game would be running away with the poll. I think I voted for KOTOR I and II (couldn't be bothered to check), but any hypocricy aside on my part, it's still going to be an unfair poll.
  12. You'd think that would be the case with English-speaking teens as well. But alas...
  13. All threads eventually get "derailed" after someone already answers the original poster's question. I mean, how many different answers can you give the guy after the first one?
  14. It could still work, even if we knew our PC would somehow die before the beginning of ANH. I mean, we all know that Revan and the Exile will die, we just don't know when. In this case it'll just be in a finite time frame.
  15. My character's name would be Lord Mordechai Darkmoon My name would be Matthew Baron? (that's not very Vampire-ish)
  16. That's always the assumption. But the thing is most of the time the non-English speakers actually make less spelling errors and don't use internet shorthand.
  17. Looks like my first order of business is eliminating the competition. :darque:
  18. I was hoping to find some free RPGs, but it seems most of the freeware are RPGs with zero to little graphics. I'm not a graphics whore by any means, but I'd atleast like them to resemble those found in the IE games.
  19. Believed to be extinct if you go by the movies (which are obviously more Canon), but a lot of the EU novels suggest there were Force sensitives running around at that time, so that could be an easy basis for the protagonist.
  20. My name is Alejandro Gaust (pronounced Ghost). :D
  21. I would. Atleast that part. I don't really want to meet any existing characters in the games. If they're going to do a RPG set in that period, they can do so without including Vader, Emperor, Obi-Wan and baby Luke and Leia. Atleast IMO.
  22. Haha I wouldn't even know the answer to this. I never played the swoop races. Just not my thing, especially when other than credits, there wasn't really much point.
  23. Pfft. Jedi Jawas are just as bad as Jedi Hutts. Sometimes I wonder who is in charge of allowing these ideas to be written in books or comics, and why that person still has their job.
  24. Something tells me that's the next era that LA will focus on to make RPGs.
