If the criteria for labelling a game as a waste was a poor ending or some bugs, then there's actually not a whole lot of games on my list that were not a waste of money and time.

The Nolan situation really bugs me. The guy has been off the ice for an entire season but he waits until NOW to have surgery? Not only does it smack of being greedy on his part to make the Leafs pay his salary, but it shows a lack of heart since now he'll miss 6 months (including the first 3 months of the season), instead of having the surgery a few months ago while there was no hockey.

On the flipside, it WOULD be considered yet another quality "known" title under Obsidian's belt. With KOTOR2 and NWN2, that would make 3 straight "known" settings. If that's the case, hopefully their 4th title will finally be their original IP.

Sounds like a bug because as soon as you enter that room a cutscene is supposed to begin.

I think it means no MMO play. I always took "persistent world" to imply that the world was ongoing, such as an online game would be since people would be playing at different times.

I'm not sure how strict that registration thing is. I know with WinRAR I got the 30 day trial version, and each time I use it it just prompts me to register, but lets me continue using it even if I say no to registration.

I may be remembering wrong (old age and all) but I specifically remember them being released at the same time because I remember people remarking at the fact that Valve would allow Vampires to be released so close to HL2. At most, it was a week after HL2's release, which still puts Vampires' release it much sooner than December or January. Edit: my join date on a VtMB message board was December 1, 2004. Before that there was a different "unofficial" message board that I was a member of for atleast 3 weeks to a month. So based on that, Bloodlines was released, at the latest, about late October, early November here in NA.

I'd really like to start the game as a Force sensitive who doesn't really know, or understand, these powers he has as he grows up. I was half kidding about the Undercity villagers, but the general concept of the PC starting out in some out-of-the-way tribe and being looked upon by the rest of the tribe as "different" because of these weird powers he seems to have (the Force). Then the early stages of the game (and maybe throughout, for an added twist), he has poor control over his powers. For example, in early combat sometimes his Force powers just don't even respond when trying to use them on an opponent, or they even backfire (Force Stunning his friends and knocking them out of the fight rather than stunning his enemies).

I think I like City of Heroes' concept better. I'm one of those people that likes to create a brand new character when playing a game, not using one that already exists within the universe.

What? I bought my copy of Vampires in either October or November. Not sure what you mean by "making it able for Vampires to ship eventually in December 2004/January 2005.." In fact, both were released at the same time, if I remember correctly, since Valve didn't care because Vampires was using an older version of the Source Engine and probably wasn't worried about that older (and poorer performance) version being ripped off.
