  1. It's a DEEP, MORAL choice.
  2. Trailers 1 and 2 bored me. This hits the sweet spot.
  3. This thread sucks.. Kill her parents? That makes no sense.
  4. To me that's not even focusing on horror, that's just focusing on visual gore and the "ewwww"' fascination people have. Such "horror" movies aren't scary, either. To me, anyway. They're more grotesquely comical or just full of the cheap "boo!" moments than anything else. I love scary movies, but real ones that make me feel sustained and palpable tension are rare, just like with scary games. And I have yet to read a book that truly "scared" me. They're just good popcorn fantasy reads, with boogie-men instead of dancing fairies. I think this is just evidence that different people find different things scary. Or rather, horrific. Take the movie Se7en: I found the Gluttony case more nauseating than frightening, and Greed more macabre than scary. I spent more time being grossed out than scared by the movie, but I'd definitely classify it as psychological horror. Alien feels like a better horror film to me than Aliens, but when it comes to heart-pounding terror, I think Aliens evokes more of it. Audition feels like a Japanese romance film for the first 2/3rd with a mild feeling of unease. There
  5. Thank you Pop. I consider Fallout 3 a better game than BioShock, and a better RPG than many would like to admit. BioShock has better visuals (by which I mean aesthetic, not polygons), a stronger story, better voice acting, and the characters have more personality. I found myself more emotionally involved in the lives of Rapture
  6. The areas are tiny, the combat is repedative, the story is uninteresting, the graphics are dated, and the role-playing is non-existent.
  7. Yay for the spoiler tag! When it's used.
  8. Hells no. The Big Sister acts just like the spider slicer while the Little Sister on her back fires bolts of blue energy at you. Like those chimps in that one game. Oh!, Bold New World what has such monsters in it.
  9. There were Big Mothers in BioShock. Rosie the Riveters.
  10. The problem with making 'iconic' characters is that you're oblidged to put money and effort into them long after they should be put out to pasture. See: Wolverine.
  11. Septerra Core.
  12. Finished Art of Murder: The Hunt for the Puppeteer It's a B. The graphics are good, the voice acting is decent. The plot is interesting at first, but eventually falls apart and wipes out at the end. For a few hours, I thought it might be a supernatural thriller because the killer was doing things that simply strike me as impossible. From the very beginning, we
  13. Art of Murder: Hunt for the Puppeteer. Interesting adventure game - I've only had problems with one puzzle so far and it was because of the camera angle. So far, so good.
  14. There is no Quest for Glory seven. The last one (Dragonfire) was number V. It's Broken Sword: The Sleeping Dragon.
  15. Fary Cry 2 - respawns, respawns, respawns. I wish you could take more than one job at a time. I just finished a buddy mission to sneak into a fort and steal documents, and now I have to sneak into that same fort and assassinate someone.
  16. I wasn't fond of the Broken Sword game I played (Dragonfire?). I probably won't pick this up. Why is the trailer full of clowns? It doesn't bode well for actual game content.
  17. Starting up a new game of Far Cry 2. The lack of a female PC is stupid. I don't recall the main character ever speaking and all you see are is your own arm. We can have a dozen different dudes but one women? OMG! It must not be!
  18. I've been to several Marble Slabs. The toppings are great, but the ice cream itself is average. Addition: I may be thinking of Cold Stone Creamery. Hmm..
  19. And what?
  20. No Planescape: Torment? No Quest for Glory? No Deus Ex or Vampire: Bloodlines or Wizardry or Ultima or Knights of the Old Republic or BioShock or Diablo or World of Warcraft or Final Fantasy or Arcanum or Fallout or Elder Scrolls? I mean, your list is your list, but it's strange that the top RPGs are all set in the Forgotten Realms and were made by 2 different companies.
  21. I think it's the word for 'threesome' in Russian.
  22. I wonder how life would be if people acted like this in the real world. Man: ZOMG! I have a broken arm. The bone is pointing out my skin and blood is everywhere. Don't waste my time! Just help me. Nurse: I can't help you, but there's a doctor that specializes in broken bones on emergency duty down the hall let me take you to.. Man: I honestly Do not CARE!!!!!! You fix my broken arm or get out of my way!!
  23. If god didn't want girls to do girls he would have made men better looking.
  24. Or kill that guy and get the information some other way. The sky's the limit!
