  1. If this game is truly going to be released in early December like the rumors are going and we STILL don't have any specifics on it... well talk about avoiding spoilers. I'm dying from the lack of information.
  2. Ajunta and Tulak are now EU thanks to KotOR. There has to be new additions sometime. However the manner in which Bioware did it leaves much to be desired. If they fleshed out Ajunta and Tulak more, I wouldn't mind at all. However there were gaping holes in the storyline and to say the least their inclusion was somewhat underwhelming and to a degree pointless.
  3. I think those are purely marketing colors. Green lightsabers look more stylish than yellow ones in the hands of a girl. Or maybe not. I think they picked them for intimidation purposes. Or at least traditional "cool" colors.
  4. Another reason he may have left was because he found out about the changes that Lucas is making to the original Star Wars trilogy in the DVD release.
  5. This restructuring is a good thing. Nothing against them, but most of LA's in-house games turn out pretty bad. This outsourcing will likely lead to better games. I think they are trying to shake the "Star Wars games are usually average or bad" mentality. KotOR was probably the first game to truly shatter that image.
  6. I think Revan left after watching Episode I and II.
  7. To be honest, I would rather the devs focus on more unique gear rather than attribute boosting items.
  8. What we do know is that some of the characters return for sure, in some way shape or form. How important they are would remain a mystery until the game is released. Who will show up is determined by the choices you make at the beginning. Next time, please read the FAQs before suggesting something that has already been stated before.
  9. I was wondering about the status of Darth Balantro's "The Malakium." I think I spelled that right.
  10. I do not see ANY problem with a level 40 cap IF the leveling is well implemented and consistent. The enemies will always be as strong as you to give you your due challenge. HOWEVER, the major advantage is that although your enemies may not get easier as you get more powerful, your leveing up will allow you a greater VARIETY of ways to dispatch them. The leveling may also help open up additional side quests, say, if you have a higher charisma. It fully allows your character to branch out better if you so desire and provide a fuller and more dynamic experience.
  11. I love that site. Unfortunately, my favorite story has yet to be updated. Thanks for running that site, Adria, you're doing the fans and I a great service! Now that that is out of the way, I think the best road is not to spill the beans on what your PC's favorite color was or what ice cream flavor he prefered, but to give the specifics on the aspects critical to the story. The personality you should be able to influence as he is after all YOUR PC. But storyline holes are unacceptable.
  12. Another thing you guys are forgetting--this game is not based off Star Wars d20. The d20 system is used as a guideline only and if the devs feel that adjustments should be made in the best interest of gameplay then they need not hesitate to do so.
  13. There will be NO customizable hilts! Hilts are pointless, you can barely see them anyway.
  14. Solid theory you have there. However, I do not believe that Obsidian will go this route. Still, it's a good theory with logical backing.
  15. Agreed, excellent thread with a great theory behind it. It makes me wonder with all these good ideas floating around if at least one of them hit Obsidian's actual vision.
  16. Some aspects of the story critical to Revan's fall was not outlined. His past before the Mandalorien Wars were unknown, and probably Bioware's most profound mistake was their inability to mention WHY Revan fell. Was it because of the Star Forge? If so, WHAT aspect of the Star Forge made him fall? Was it the dark taint from the Star Maps. Why didn't the Star Maps affect you the same way it did the first time? What was Malak's connection with all this? NONE of these were explained. Malak's jaw may have had a part in this process, but Bioware said they would "leave it up to the player's imagination." I personally think this is an excuse for a somewhat flawed backstory.
  17. The more the better. I say bring it on.
  18. If there are patches, let Lucasarts have Obsidian DO some patches. LA angered the fans of the PC version when they didn't let Bioware finish the remaining issues with one last patch. Let them not make the same mistake. The best option is to ship the game with no major bugs. Additional patching would be nice.
  19. Malak voice imitations.
  20. Tries to imagine KotOR3: Final Fantasy... No. I would cry if LA handed it in-house.
  21. You guys are forgetting one thing--this game will scale in difficulty with your power. No matter your levels, the enemies will keep coming at you. This is not the KotOR you guys remember. I voted for forty to match with the max level of an epic character. And there's nothing wrong with gaining levels if your opposition matches with your power.
  22. This thread will never die I guess. For the pixel vs real life debate, I agree that it is indeed your mind that determines whether you are stimulated. It is not necesarily the image itself, but what the image itself is trying to represent. Saying that pixels are not real and thus should not be stimulating is similar to saying that pictures are not real either. That's my two cents. As for me, all we know about her is a rumored name that's it. However, her concept art certainly looks a lot better than Bastila's, so here's hoping the future will bring the goods
  23. I wonder what the story on KotOR3 would have been like had it not been canceled. Well canceled is a slightly inaccurate, postponed is more like it. Given the success of the first and the likely succuess of the second, KotOR3 is a given.
  24. Oh my bad. Still, the fact that the planet is divided makes sense.
  25. Very interesting discovery. The Onderon link is also viable. Perhaps you have stumbled across something Obsidian didn't intend. And the fact that the Queen is trying to rule a splitting planet fits perfectly. Good observation.
