I'd prefer Bioware to develop KOTOR 3, but I wouldn't mind if Obsidian did it either. Obsidian still did a good job and it was only LucasArts that stopped them from finishing it off. If it was a new developer, it would depend who it was. Anyway, buying a game based on who developed it may be unwise. It's always best to check review scores first, and base purchasing decisions on that. Either that or rent it first.

Mandalore IS Canderous. Kreia confirms it at the end. The conversation went something like this: Exile: And what of Mandalore? Kreia: Many battles does that one have left in him, as Revan intended. But Canderous is a loyal beast no matter how much he is bent on Revan's will.

Specs haven't been released but it has been said it will be two or three times more powerful than the Gamecube. Look at this article:Revolution Details If this is true, it will be a lot less powerful than the Xbox 360 and PS3 (if the figures that Microsoft and Sony have quoted can be believed). However, Nintendo don't believe that power alone is a good thing.

It's not really a cheat, but if you plug a second controller into port 4 and press black or white on that controller, you can change the pitch of the voices. White makes the voices higher and black makes the voices lower. Pressing B resets the voices. This also works with the original KOTOR.

We're probably gonna have to wait a while after both consoles are out to see the real differences between them. These figures can be manipulated and the kind of performance they quote may actually be impossible to achieve in real game development. Nevertheless, these specs for the PS3 are very impressive. Before, I was quite sure I wanted an Xbox 360. After this, my favour has been swung towards the PS3.

your favorite qoute in KOTOR II
Palmtree replied to Sargoth's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I loved T3's line in the hidden tomb on Korriban when you meet your party members and decide not to get involved. It went something like this: Kreia: Apathy is death. Atton: Apathy is death. Bao-Dur: Apathy is death. T3: Beep Beep Beep. -
Graphics aren't really a major concern. As long as they're on a par with most other games I won't really be bothered. The story and gameplay take a much higher priority for me. And a game without too many bugs is important too.

It looks like a glitch. Something similar happened to me on one of the quests on the return to Telos. I think it was the quest where you have to stop the Sith sabotaging the fuel line. The quest was there but the description was just 'Telos:' with nothing following after.

I created a thread on missing movies a while ago. I never really got a conclusive answer as to what I was missing, so it can only be assumed that it's impossible to get those movies, and that Obsidian forgot to change the number of movies when they were forced to cut some content.

Doesn't Bao-Dur only ask if you want a single or double blade if you already have all the parts?
-
I haven't had this problem myself, but I suggest trying to buy more colour crystals. Maybe that will stop it skipping the conversation options.
-
How do you finish the fuel quest on Telos? Doesn't it just end on Nar Shadaa or is there something I've missed? Oh, and apologies to Panther for my sarcastic comment. I didn't really mean to offend.

Am I the only one confused with Panther's post?

I know you can kill him, but that's only if you accept his challenge. My question is about when you refuse his challenge. He claims you will have no choice the next time you challenge him, but I've never seen him again.

My question is about the Battle Circle on Dxun in the Mandalorian Ruins. After you defeat Davrel (the first challenger), he challenges you again when you exit the ruins. If you refuse his challenge and don't suggest that you hunt for the zakkeg, he says he will challenge you again and that 'next time you will have no choice'. Does he actually appear again, and has anybody had this encounter? Or is this something that has just been put in to add to the feel of the game?

The simple answer is no. Even if you play DS, the ending is quite similar. Revan has gone to the Unknown Regions to find the True Sith, but you don't know exactly what that means. This will probably something that will be revealed in the sequel if there is one. The reason for being on the Ebon Hawk is never really answered. You are on the Harbinger, when for some reason, the Ebon Hawk appears after an attack by the Sith. Later, the Sith take over the Harbinger and Kreia takes you aboard the Ebon Hawk to avoid capture by the Sith.

Would you buy KOTOR if it wasn't Star Wars?
Palmtree replied to Bokishi's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I don't think that KOTOR depends on the Star Wars franchise to survive. Rather, it draws from it and becomes better for it. It uses the material well and should be commended for that. Obviously, basing it on Star Wars gives it some advantage, but I don't think it simply falls back on the material and hopes that the licence means it sells. -
The Redemption mission on Dantooine
Palmtree replied to Jellybelly's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
The second time you probably forgot to get the quest. To start the quest you have to ask the Administrator if the people of Dantooine really hate the Jedi. It's very specific and easily missed. I think it's actually impossible to complete that quest and it's just one of the many bugs in the game. -
That must be why I didn't remember it. I only got into conversation with Vrook once when I returned to Dantooine. The other two games I played, I killed some of the Jedi masters before returning, so they wouldn't speak to me. I'd always assumed that Master Vandar died on Dodonna's ship if Revan was DS, or died on Katarr if Revan was LS.
-
Did Vrook actually say Vandar died on Katarr? I don't actually remember him mentioning that. I thought that when he mentions the Jedi masters who died on Katarr, he only names Zhar and Dorak.

If you set Revan as Lightside male, you do see Bastila after the Ravager. She only says a few lines and you don't get to respond to her, as this takes place after you have left the room that Carth was in. AFAIK this scene does not happen if Revan is set to female or darkside.

Conspiracy hidden by last minute cuts...
Palmtree replied to FaramirK's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Arren Kae is female and was the Handmaiden's mother. Whether or not Kreia is Kae is debatable. And if Kreia was Kae then she probably had reason for keeping her identity a secret from Handmaiden. She deceived the Exile about being a Sith lord so why not deceive the Handmaiden as well. You also forget that Handmaiden had took a vow to never learn the ways of the Jedi so would not have been able to feel it through the Force (but this would no longer hold true if you train her). As for this whole Kreia/Kae thing, I think they are different people. Before seeing these threads on the forum, I never even thought about this. -
I think the conversation choices are designed to force you down one route. They sort of force you to go look for Revan. IIRC even if you don't say you will follow Revan, you say something like 'I don't want to be here anymore'. This isn't very specific and may also mean you go looking for Revan.

It isn't a lens that you need, it's a lens fixture. This can only be obtained by completing certain quests. It sounds like you may have found a lens which is an upgrade item for the lightsaber, and not the part you need. You should try getting near the end of the planet first as some pieces may come quite late into the planet. I'm not sure myself because I've never gone to Nar Shadaa first.
