  1. I don't think it's possible to get all the skills gold just as a guardian without using feats. I suspect it may have been a combination of your Jedi class and Prestige class that meant every skill became a class skill. I don't think it has anything to do with your stats as a guardian.
  2. I think Traya calls the Enclave 'ruins' at the end, because it is still not fully rebulit. A lot of it is still collapsed. No idea who rebulit it though. The logical answer would be the Jedi masters, but you have to wonder how they could do it in such a short space of time.
  3. Flops are a measure of the floating point performance of the machine. In this respect, it's true that the PS3 has twice the performance of the X360. However, you also have to take into account the integer performance of each machine. IIRC games are generally 20% floating point and 80% integer. Microsoft claim that their machine has three times the integer performance of the PS3, so the X360 may have more raw power. I'm not really a technical person though, so I'm not sure how much of this is relevant.
  4. I don't think Carth would have been able to stop the Sith Lords. Also, he was occupied with keeping the Republic strong like Revan told him to. Bastila, on the other hand, did seem to have a part that was too minor. After all, she is a Jedi, so it would have been logical for her to help fight the Sith. She seems to be playing no part in this.
  5. No matter what you do (even if you're dark side), you cannot get Sion to join you.
  6. I'm not sure, but I think it depends on the game. I seem to remember that it's usually either A, B and down or A, B and up. I think it has to be done before the start screen.
  7. I'm not sure. It might be a Hutt world. I thought Nal Hutta was the Hutts' homeworld. Somebody with a better knowledge of the Star Wars universe would probably know.
  8. Yeah, it might the planet that Yuthura Ban was enslaved on. It's called Sleheyron, and it is mentioned in the game.
  9. From what I've read, I get the impression that the PS3 will be superior. Sure, Sony could be lying about aspects of their console, but logically, a console that is released 6 months later than the X360 will have more recent technology to use. So this means it will be technologically superior. At the moment we don't know for sure which console is better. I don't think the release dates of the consoles are really relevant. Unless you're suggesting that development is rushed so KOTOR III can be out for this Christmas. I figure it would probably be impossible to develop it in that short space of time anyway. We probably won't see it until well into 2006.
  10. I wasn't specifically referring to the specs of each machine. I was referring more to what the console can achieve in real terms. We've already discovered that both the PS3 and X360 real time demos were run on PCs. They didn't tell us that to start with, and that's the kind of lying I'm talking about. And I don't think the Blu-ray discs are an adavantage. Most current games don't even fill a standard single layer DVD, so it's unlikely the full capacity of the Blu-ray discs will be used. They're just costly alternatives to normal DVDs. I suppose the best situation would be to release KOTOR III on all next generation platforms, as long as they develop it for the most powerful platform and port it to the others and not the other way round. That way, everybody can play the game to the capabilities of their console, and nobody misses out on playing this game just because they own the wrong console.
  11. I'd like KOTOR III to be released on whichever console has the most capabilty. As we don't know that (I'm not going to believe anything Microsoft or Sony say until their consoles are out), I'm not going to vote for now.
  12. Maybe they're referred to as the Lost Jedi because of the situation of the Jedi Order at the time. The Jedi have gone into hiding, so there is no one to train new Jedi. The force sensitive party members gathered are 'lost' because there is no one to guide them down the path of a Jedi.
  13. The bugs haven't really been a problem for me. They are there, but there's nothing that particularly ruins the game. It's been out for a while now, so you can probably find somewhere that isn't charging full price for it. If you're still unsure, try renting it first, and then see what you think of it.
  14. 35? I never got above level 29, and I did every quest I could as well. Anyway, without utilising glitches, I think it's impossible to get to level 50. Enemies don't respawn AFAIK, unlike in KOTOR 1. IIRC enemies would respawn in certain areas, such as the Kath hounds on Dantooine.
  15. Did you think that we were advocating the creation of a crappy engine? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No. I'm saying that the developer will be pretty much forced to create a new engine, and that sticking with the current engine won't be an option. It's a risk that they're going to have to take. Whether or not the engine is any good is down to the developer.
  16. The problem is that the game will be criticised either way. People will be unhappy if a new engine is not used, and they will be unhappy if the new engine is rubbish. So the only solution is to create a new engine that is good.
  17. When I tried doing the infinite Hssiss glitch, I couldn't be killed. Does that normally happen when doing this, or is it an additional glitch?
  18. AFAIK you never find the real murderer of Sullio. The two visas you get, are from the bounty hunter who confronts you at the entrance to the market district, and the other from Bakkel, leader of the beast riders.
  19. There is only one blank transponder card on Nar Shadaa. There would really be no point in having another one, as all the ship codes do the same thing. They are all codes for Vogga's ships (which makes T3's quest a bit pointless). Whichever code you choose, Goto's ship will pick you up.
  20. Either that, or Sony have secretly paid them to make exclusives. Factor 5 have suddenly changed which platform they are supporting, so it's a possibility.
  21. I have GTA 3 on the PC and I've played GTA: Vice City, but none have really impressed me. They are quite fun, but I'd prefer to play something like Halo or KOTOR any day. My preference of games seems to be catered for on the Xbox, so for that reason, I'm supporting the Xbox 360... for now.
  22. I agree that the graphics are not a major concern, it's the games. However, sometimes I feel that being an Xbox owner, has made me used to playing Xbox games. This is why I may be slightly biased towards the Xbox 360 as it has games I recognize and know I will enjoy such as Halo and Fable. Buying a PS3 would be a bit of a risk, as I don't know if I would enjoy the sort of games that are on a PlayStation. However, I took this sort of risk when buying an Xbox so there's no reason I would not do it again.
  23. I believe that the article was written before Sony admitted that most of their game demos were rendered. I don't think there will be a huge difference in graphics, but I think there is no doubt that the PS3 is more powerful and will have, if only slightly, better graphics.
  24. I'm guessing that the majority of Xbox owners will be buying an Xbox 360. If this is the case, then the only logical choice is to release KOTOR 3 on the X360. KOTOR 2's ending was so open that anybody who hasn't played it is likely to be very confused as to what's happening in KOTOR 3.
  25. I hated the influence system. It meant you could not get the full story out of your characters the first time you played. It's OK saying that it adds to the replay value, but what use is that if it destroys the atmosphere by having parts missing. I much preferred the system that Bioware used for KOTOR and Jade Empire. I don't want to play through a game again just because of a system that makes me miss things. It makes the game feel incomplete. Having a great experience the first time you play through far outweighs replay value IMHO.
