Fair enough then I appreciate all who have suppressed their gaming superiority complex Only reason I posted really was because not too long ago I remember a topic where someone was raving about how they saw Kreia's eyes or something... I am ever so sorry for all the inconvience and horror I have brough on you all, please dont spank me - Dan

Hi, I really doubt this will be new to a lot of folks around here, but during my second playthrough of the game I have focused a lot on Wisdom and force powers and such, and amongst the bevy of new things I have discovered by doing this (and just generally paying more attention) I came across a video of Kreia explaining her past... or at least a small part of it anyway. I got to it by having 20+ Wisdom and asking her the "are you a jedi or a sith" question on the ebon hawk, and after her reply I had a new [Wisdom] option which eventually led to the cutscene, where it shows Kreia with Nihilus and Sion on what I think is Malachor V. During the scene Nihilus just stands there, but Sion proceeds to beat the crap out of Kreia and in the process you see her funky hairdoo and a set of what appears to be functional eyes... Like I said, I know a lot of people may already know this, but I thought I would make mention of it for the benefit of those who don't, because i know there has been some discussion on what movies are viewable and I have also seen topics on people saying they had caught glimpses of Kreia's eyes in intro videos and such So far I am doing it a lot easier in my 2nd playthrough as well Now that I know what buttons to push (so to speak) I am cruising... I have only done Telos, Nar Shaddaa and Dantooine and I have arleady trained up Mira, Bao-Dur, Atton and the Handmaiden... although that prude wont tell me her freakin name, so I'm gonna point the exiles lovin' to Visas purely as a matter of principle - Dan

Pre-Game Thoughts and Imaginations
Jivin replied to dufflover's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Had I been the one calling the shots at Lucasarts or whatever I can't say I would have chosen the "leading" promo characters any differently I dont think... With the dark sider people, , but it would be a bit of a spoiler to put her up there as the promo enemy, so its really between Nihilus and Sion and out of those two, even though they are both cool, Nihilus probably wins in the scaryness factor On the flipside there isn't really any other good light side key figures besides the LS exile, and there are obvious reasons not to use him/her. All of the Jedi Council members probably would have held as much weight (maybe?) as Atris... but given that she was technically the one that started the LS exile on the path to gatherin the council again, Atris was probably the best choice... and also because she looks the part more than anyone else I can think of... the whole white hair thing and the with the cool light side glow and white robes, its a perfect look I agree with the misconceptions though, I actually thought Atris would be the main character (having never played KOTOR1 before and knowing how it worked) and I was looking forward to it... in the promo stuff she looked ready to dish it out - Dan -
so then what does... mean in the above post? - Dan
-
Haha, yeah Actually though... in light of Hey Steve's post, can someone remind me please, is the exiles last conversation with Atris before or after the Kreia/Atris cutscene? I do remember now the LS option your talking about too there... I chose that option too in the end if I recall i think. I mean, it was a bit sus that her meditation room was all glowing red I suppose if I try and think about it all at face value I didn't think in the end her character actually fell to the dark side either if you did things the LS way, and you sort of get then impression that after the developers made all their "last minute" changes to the game, that they wanted to end her story that way... its just that all of the talk of the cut material is tainting the way I see everything Does anyone know any clearer than I, what was the initial intention? Was the idea that you could either make Atris see the error in her ways and basically turn away from the dark side (in which case you get Kreia at the end), or if your DS you do something nasty and you get Atris at the end? - Dan

Even if you're like me and don't know a single thing about the rest of the Expanded Universe of star wars stuff, if you have played through both KOTOR games you should realise how silly that question is - Dan

Why can't they see it? (ins and outs of Kreia)
Jivin replied to oni_wasabii's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I didn't think it was that hard to understand... He is basically just saying that his friend looked at the character of Kreia and basically just assumed that Kreia was the baddie Sith and therefore if he wanted to gain favour with her then he needed to do blatantly evil sith stuff (eg: kill everyone). It is obvious that this isn't the case, as anyone who understands the game (and Kreia's character) a bit would realise. His friend didn't realise that, and oni is saying that he thinks its is pretty obvious and he doesn't really get how others dont understand So he posted asking for opinions on the matter. - Dan -
I'm confused I only remember getting a sword and an armband in there... I think... Is it just me or does getting Visas' lightsaber in there not make much sense? Ill have to replay that bit. - Dan

On Nar Shaddaa I had the difficulty where I forfeited a run I was doing, then from then on, no matter what my result was it would be completely ignored and the racemaster would just treat it like I had crashed. Very annoying... Swoop Racing on Nar Shaddaa was pretty useless anyway... really only good for 500 credits or something. - Dan

Wow, very cool... and I agree with the Atris thing... its definitely not Visas. Even if it werent for the eyes thing I dont think the resemblance is there Funky outfit she has there though... I wonder if they had have left it in... would the whole Darth Traya thing be a totally open/shut thing? or do you think us diehard LS'ers would have had a chance to turn Atris back? Because basically if you discount everything you know about the possible plot lines from cut scenes ect (and correct me if im wrong here), you never really know what happens to her.. you only get hints that she will complete her fall to the dark side (albeit fairly strong ones) from her cutscene with Kreia, and your character doesn't get a chance to talk to her after that point. I wonder if she will appear in any future installment.... I would have to say no, even though I would like it if her character did re-appear... but really there is no room for any of the Jedi Council members from KOTOR2 to reappear in any meaningful role, because in KOTOR2 you had a chance to kill them all off if you went DS (I think? I haven't actually played it as a DS player myself). Just like Visas... - Dan

That man has a very tall head I can see some similarities though, no doubt. I found another picture of Selma Blair.... as a little more Visas proof Turns out my girlfriend is a bit of a fan of her, so she had some pictures of her laying around on her computer She said they were for fashion reference... lol " As a sidenote... I like the sound of this Selma Blair - from what my girlfriend tells me she constantly says the most outrageous things in inerviews and doesnt mind having a few jokes at her own expense, and on top of that she is married to one of Frank Zappa's sons.... right on! Only problem is... when i was getting those original pictures via google... I kept seeing the term "vaginal dryness" on the same page as her picture.... lol - Dan

Why can't they see it? (ins and outs of Kreia)
Jivin replied to oni_wasabii's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
It's easy to fall into that line of understanding when you don't actually think about the game as your playing it though.... and the reality is, a lot of people don't - like your friend - Dan -
Conspiracy hidden by last minute cuts...
Jivin replied to FaramirK's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Yeah, but although he says he doesn't remember who he was trained by after Master Kae, he does say "And it is said that he/she went to his/her first - and final - master to learn how to leave the order entirely, as she had.", which to me implied that Revan's final master was the same person as his/her first. I really don't understand it... because if Kae was Revan's initial master, then it makes sense that Kreia and Master Kae are one and the same, however if that is the case.. then why does the Disciple not recall the 2nd master.. and why does it even matter? And what if Kreia and Kae are two seperate people... where does Kreia fit in as one of Revan's masters? Argh! the answers are so elusive - Dan -
Sweet jebus, what has happened to this thread! Well I guess its sort of getting back on topic... I tell you what Baley... for a sum of money I will arrange another meeting with my Bastila look-alike, slip her a sedative and put her on a plane to... wherever the hang it is you live That sum of money will be.... one MILLION dollars... muahahaha Maybe that would get you off these forums for an hour or two :D - Dan PS: IM JOKING

Oh yeah! So now you know what I was going through with that singer I was meeting with that looked like Bastila from KOTOR1! "that rates about a 9.0 on my weird-****-o-meter"

Conspiracy hidden by last minute cuts...
Jivin replied to FaramirK's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
The way I read that... it makes sense that Kreia could be Master Kae... Unless I am reading it incorrectly (which is likely since im tired, as usual), it says implies that Revan was trained at first by Kae, then someone else that the Disciple doesnt know, then Kae again... so if you assume that Kreia was Revan's last master before he ran off to fight the mandalorians(which i find pretty easy to beleive given all that kreia blamed herself and went looking for him ect.), then it makes sense that Kreia is Kay. However... to me the biggest assumption there is assuming that by "As a Padawan, Revan was trained by Master Kae", Disciple means that Master Kae was Revan's first master. Hopefully it is something that will be cleared up (although I personally think this issue pales in comparison to the other things I woudl rather cleared up) in any future games, however I had to vote #1, because I too find it hard to beleive that the hints were unintentional anomalies in the writing. I really haven't looked into it as much as a lot of people though... and I may well have been affected by the huge debate that continues here on these forums - Dan -
Great! at least now I know im not completely insane - Dan

lol yeah, I was pretty sure you were just taking the mickey... I just wanted to be sure "whaddya we have here? fresh gizka poo!... *picks it up*.... ohh and its still fresh! now what that means is that those little critters must be hiding close by!"

You do realise that those two people you mentioned couldn't be more of an exaggeration of the way Australian people speak (or should I say the Australian accent) Still, that kurt russell/canderous thing was cool, i couldnt agree more - Dan

I was watching TV tonight and I saw a preview for a movie that had a woman in it that reminded me a lot of the character Visas Marr in the game... I spent a few minutes on google finding her name and getting a couple of photos. The similarity may not be striking, but I have his memory of her from cruel intentions (i think) and i dunno... in my mind there they sort of look similar, but its easy to scrutinise after having to find static pictures to back it up - Dan

Bastila (behind the scenes info)
Jivin replied to Padmi Skydrunkard's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I'd have to agree... none of them really seem to match up very well with her character in game... the best artistic "impression" of bastila ive seen was this: http://www.starwars.com/databank/character...n/img/eu_bg.jpg I guess it comes as no suprise seeing as its official stuff... but then again, so were those drawings. - Dan -
A good serious tune for the atton death could be In this River by Zack Wylde.. clip - http://www.funkyshack.com/crap/inthisriver.mp3 I can almost hear the wailing of the atton fanclub thinking about it lol I much prefer to stick to my whole "Don't Stop Me Now" Atton thing... I can just picture that... it would be awesome! haha - Dan

Nihilus? Do you mean Sion? If I am wrong in my assumption, please enlighten me because I must be missing something - Dan

lol! I can't even begin to imagine how cheesy that would be..... I love it! - Dan

Just some thoughts concerning sw and kotor 1/2
