Plus taking the 'route 1' method against the 5 handmaidens doesn't really help at that stage. That's because you're not really at a high level yet. So while you're beating down one or two handmaidens, the others keeping hitting you, whilst the previous ones heal up. The easiest way is to 'Force Push' them off the mat.

The basilisk's from TotJ are to meant to semi-intelligent - not just fighter vessels like in TSL.

All those gimmicks are mute points in an RPG, unless the story excels. You say "story is better", but you have yet to complete the story thus far. Great logic there. At best K2 provides a medicore story which fails to flow coherently, and wanes notably towards it's conclusion. That doesn't constitute a better story for me. That doesn't constitute a better RPG for me. That being said K2 is still an excellent game relatively speaking. As someone previously mentioned, "Better looking jedi robes, prestige classes, the use of skills, the workbench, darker atmosphere", are bound to be appreciated by fans alike. But at the end of the day, where K1 left you satisfied with a feeling of accomplishment, K2 it left wanting in it's broken ambiguity.

First of all, makes sure you unequip any force restrictive armor - just robes/clothes for now. Now look up your 'Defense' on the 'body' or 'character' screen. You see, the force armor powers and force speed powers never even stacked properly even in the first KotOR. That is precisley why during the closely watched development process, I made sure Akari was aware of this problem during one the 'weekend programmer'/'question to the devs' threads. Akari himself said that he then personally tested these bonuses so that everything was on the up & up. The trouble is that it's become even worse now. Not only do these bonuses not stack, but the INDIVIDUAL defense bonuses per power are not received. <_< E.g. Activate a force armor power. Check the defense value on the 'body' or 'character' screem. NO UPDATE. Engage in combat (whilst power is activated), & check the 'combat feedback messages' dice rolls. NO UPDATE. Oh, & what's this? Don't forget that Handmaidens convo options don't update after the defeat of Atris. So despite revealing her name & leading you to Telos, she's suddenly become aprehensive and won't tell you. <_< Also, don't forget that Visas' convo options also don't uipdate after the defeat of Nihilus. So depite trouncing Mr. "Devourer of entire Worlds but don't hit me twice with a lightsaber", she still warns you of the 'coming battle'. <_< To tell you the truth Ivan, it was a A+ game all the way up the the 'Jedi Master reunion' on Dantooine. After that, it all fell apart....like the Marshmallow Man to a Proton Pack.

It's not really a cliffhanger either - it's just weak and unfinished. Something like Half-Life 2, HALO 2 & Matrix Reloaded would constitute 'cliffhangers'. This was simply broken and ambiguous.

Wrong. There was no closure - more questions were raised than answered. And to buy a third game in order to gain closure on it's predecessor its simply farcical! Also, to say that "it gives you a lot more than the last game" is laughable. The first KotOR allowed you to bask in your victory. Here one is left unsatisfied with a very broken conclusion. <_<

That's a bit lame. I didn't take her out in the past, but I would've at least liked the option....as with Juhani. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That is a bit lame - I always assume you at least retained the option to take her out. Ah well....not that I'd ever want to.

Having a variation of 2 or 3 questions to ask an NPC for the majority of the game...and then after certain events occur, not having an update to those options really doesn't constitute better dialogue. How pathetic was it that It's like the whole thing didn't happen. Very unsettling. But then again, the whole latter portion of the game (post ), fell apart. All that build up means nothing if you end up with an rushed & unfinished product. <_< You probably haven't reaced that stage Ender, but when you fail to achieve any closure or , you'll know what I mean.
