Analysis: Why the 1.2 patch locks up when you use a door, Black Screen and Looping Sound Upon Activating a Door Go into My Documents>Oblivion>Click on Oblivion Configuration File> and change iShadowMapResolution to 1024, currently it will be set to 256. This seems to be an interesting fix. Bethesda changed it from 1024 to 256 when they added the SI expansion, but by turing it back , it seems to fix the crashes.

I LOVE Half Life 1 and 2. I Played Half Life 2:Episode 1 and i was left unsatisfied. And i don't even recall totally what happened in it, so when the next episode FINALLY comes along I'm not going to place the stories side by side. Its like opening a twix wrapper and noticing you've only got one. I'm going to wait till all of the episodes come out, same for SiN. and The Longest Journey.

I Live in Michigan, near the Huron River, Ann Arbor. Humidity is always higher then normal compared to different places but my house isn't really humid, nor to hot. i keep it at 75f around.

Its probably the 20pin connector is screwy. The thing is though, is that this only happens once in awhile. Maybe once every 3 weeks. Maybe if i clean the 20pinpower connectors with Alcohol. its a fluke.

OK This is the 3rd time this has happened now... something is up. I built my PC myself, i used anti static wristband on a glass table while always keeping myself grounded. Well The computer is done, windows is installed and every once in awhile in the morning Ill go into my office and press power and... nothing. All i have to do to fix this is unplugging the 24(or is it 20) pin power connector from my motherboard, then plug it back in and VIOLA! But i shouldn't have to be doing this in the first place... ok, so i boot the computer and I'm in windows i look at the time in the right bottom corner and the time is completely off again like the other times it was off. 3 times this has happened. BIOS is up to date. All cords are plugged in. What could be going on. All parts are new, everything works PERFECT except this oddball problem. Any help would be nice! thanks in advance!

I would first start with your Graphic driver. Then move down the line. Download the latest Realtek sound drivers if you don't have them already. Oblivion is EXTREMELY sensitive to sounds devices(and codecs). I see you have NERO and Oblivion is extremely senstive to Nero unfortunatly... I would uninstall Nero Completely. Good luck , Oblivion is buggy period.

I've read many weird ideas from healthy brain food like fish since it was a great fishing area, to no state religion so they had the chance to think freely. And the gods were not omniscient, omnipotent, they made mistakes just like humans do.. just bigger! I have both of those, the first one i took a class on, and that was the main text. As for Meditations, i heard a speech on Stoicism and became interested in it. Epetitus (don't remember how to spell is name right) a roman slave, great poet was a great Stoic too. Its amazing what the Greeks thought of, like how everything is made of the atom(indivisible objects) and void. Properties of water were really out there. or how about Pythagorous and how he tries to relate EVERYTHING to his theorem and keeps other discoveries that create trouble to his thoughts hidden. Reminded me of Alan Turing another great mathematician, and his thoughts on AI, he thinks a priori, and i don't think he is right either.

What do you ladies think of this patch? 4.02AT Patch It looks better then the other ones out by Wesp, this guy seems like he wants to keep the game intact still. Would you still recommend the 1.02 patch over this one? Any ideas on which mods would make this game more enjoyable to play for the second time around? Pops music idea seems kinda cool, im going to try that out. Im not sure which skins i should try yet. Any input would be appreciated.

So I can't edit the extra clothing that I could earn later on in the game, thus making it part of the regular game. I can only edit what my player is wearing at the moment? Couldn't i just play with the file names and do some switcharoo's?

F'n A, thats awesome! i didn't know you could add different character skins AND customize the clothing. Are the clothing in the game for the added characters built into the game... I mean ... are they just like a regular upgrade, or do you have to do it manually through windows explorer or console?

I agree mainly with the thread starter. I found it a bit boring and repetitive half the time. I think the only thing that kept me going was the hot sounding computer telling me to hurry. haw haw I tried Halo Multiplayer for the PC... crap, i thought at least, i have a schweet puter, and cable internet and it lagged like a anorexic at a buffet. Very disappointed. The levels look... ehhh, the weapons were actaully very cool i thought, i really thought that was the coolest part of the game personally. fps that i liked? No One Lives Forever 1 and 2. Its more complex than your average shooter, albeit not as complex as System Shock 2. I like games were i can customize and tweak things to perfectly suit the next situation im going into. That and the humor in NOLF was awesome! The russian jokes were hilarious i thought, everytime i went to read a report on a russian desk they were talking about either a friend getting shot about complaining about only eating cabbage, or how they hate the cabbage. haw haw! Hey, Remedy outsourced Max Payne 3, it is not such an unlikely thing. Does this mean Max Payne 3 is in the works?! Because that would be cool with me. I loved the first one! The second MP had GREAT gameplay, and a sweeeet engine. The Story was a bit mooshy, but I didn't mind, i played it and beat it a couple of times, i don't usually do that.

yes, GK1-s wasnt the best coz of the weird 'music' in the middle but i still think that was the best of the series as a game also Syberia and The Longest Journey 2 rocked actually i think TLJ2 is the best till now I'm going to have to stick with TLJ, not Dreamfall. I thought Dreamfall was great, but i wasn't into the whole faith theme. I think ill try Syberia, I've heard good things about it. I can't remember GK2 very well... I mainly remember how much i enjoyed it. Thats one of those games i should reinstall sometime. I really miss good adventure games, although games like KoTOR and Oblivion are great too.

Check this Power Calculator out Rosbjerg. It should give you a decent number. I would always get a bit higher wattage then what you need because not all power supplies are 100% efficient and you don't want to burn them out. Also for upgrades sake.

It ran horrible on my 6800GT P43.0ghz and it runs horrible on my 7900GTO E6600 C2D. Its unplayable, the stuttering in the game is unforgivable. I tried to diagnose it and test this and that driver, deleting here and there no success. I gave up after trying to play it anyway, and the story didn't catch me either, so i think of it as a waste of $40 bucks. I haven't had very many bad game buys, at least in my adulthood. Thats why this one tops it. That is strange, what res are you trying to play it on and did you max everything out entirely? I've had no problems running it on my old P4 3.2 GHz and 7800 GTX. I even tried it on 800 by 600 bok. I have tried just about everything turned off. I played it on just about every setting imaginable except maxing everything because i knew that was not going to work. it was poop. Maybe these new graphic drivers will fix the problems. Ill check back with you.
