I agree mainly with the thread starter. I found it a bit boring and repetitive half the time. I think the only thing that kept me going was the hot sounding computer telling me to hurry. haw haw I tried Halo Multiplayer for the PC... crap, i thought at least, i have a schweet puter, and cable internet and it lagged like a anorexic at a buffet. Very disappointed. The levels look... ehhh, the weapons were actaully very cool i thought, i really thought that was the coolest part of the game personally. fps that i liked? No One Lives Forever 1 and 2. Its more complex than your average shooter, albeit not as complex as System Shock 2. I like games were i can customize and tweak things to perfectly suit the next situation im going into. That and the humor in NOLF was awesome! The russian jokes were hilarious i thought, everytime i went to read a report on a russian desk they were talking about either a friend getting shot about complaining about only eating cabbage, or how they hate the cabbage. haw haw! I really reccomend this game guys! No One Lives Forever 2: A Spy In Harms Way

Hey, Remedy outsourced Max Payne 3, it is not such an unlikely thing. Does this mean Max Payne 3 is in the works?! Because that would be cool with me. I loved the first one! The second MP had GREAT gameplay, and a sweeeet engine. The Story was a bit mooshy, but I didn't mind, i played it and beat it a couple of times, i don't usually do that.

yes, GK1-s wasnt the best coz of the weird 'music' in the middle but i still think that was the best of the series as a game also Syberia and The Longest Journey 2 rocked actually i think TLJ2 is the best till now I'm going to have to stick with TLJ, not Dreamfall. I thought Dreamfall was great, but i wasn't into the whole faith theme. I think ill try Syberia, I've heard good things about it. I can't remember GK2 very well... I mainly remember how much i enjoyed it. Thats one of those games i should reinstall sometime. I really miss good adventure games, although games like KoTOR and Oblivion are great too.

Check this Power Calculator out Rosbjerg. It should give you a decent number. I would always get a bit higher wattage then what you need because not all power supplies are 100% efficient and you don't want to burn them out. Also for upgrades sake.

What is the worst game you ever bought?

... I can't believe it. ... The new nVidia drivers 101.02 work. ... Well I'm going to have to change my nomination to Contract Jack, by the same people, Monolith. -

It ran horrible on my 6800GT P43.0ghz and it runs horrible on my 7900GTO E6600 C2D. Its unplayable, the stuttering in the game is unforgivable. I tried to diagnose it and test this and that driver, deleting here and there no success. I gave up after trying to play it anyway, and the story didn't catch me either, so i think of it as a waste of $40 bucks. I haven't had very many bad game buys, at least in my adulthood. Thats why this one tops it. That is strange, what res are you trying to play it on and did you max everything out entirely? I've had no problems running it on my old P4 3.2 GHz and 7800 GTX. I even tried it on 800 by 600 bok. I have tried just about everything turned off. I played it on just about every setting imaginable except maxing everything because i knew that was not going to work. it was poop. Maybe these new graphic drivers will fix the problems. Ill check back with you. -

Hasn't gone really. PhysX may catch on when more Unreal 3 tech games get released. i wonder what would happen if physX and Havoc actually joined forces.

I'm going to pick FEAR. Its engine runs like ****, on relatively high end hardware. Cliche story. Quite frankly, I'm surprised this was the same company that made No One Lives Forever 1 and 2. I award this game a big steaming pile of poo! -
I love that game, maybe ill reinstall it also. I should wait and beat my oblivion Expansions first i suppose. Come to think about it, i have NWN2 sitting on my desk, never installed!

Why is that, is everything working ok now? I spent hours trying to diagnosing my problems. Oblivion sure is touchy about its Codecs and Graphic Drivers. I had to delete my Nero software(because of its codecs), it was trial crap anyway that came with my DVD/CD R/RW optical Drive. After doing that I had to get the beta patch for the FormID bug. Then I had to get a different Graphic card driver. Luckily I found a newer one. Im using 101.02 Nvidia Forceware for WinXP 32Bit. Its working flawlessly. I got it from Tweaks R Us.

Oblivion with Knights of The Nine and Shivering Isles expansion. It took some time to make it playable, to find out what was wrong with the new patch, but im now able to play it without crashes.

Thats sounds like the time their new Bearlake Chipset comes out. Those will be Penryn compatible, the die size will shrink in the cpu's from 65nm to 45nm, which uses less mower and a performance gain. the 965p's and other motherboards MIGHT be compatible down the road too, but that is unclear. Intel is also suppose to release more CPU'S that will have the 1333 FSB, they will be dubbed like so- E6650 E6750 ect... just the added 5 to account the performance gain of the FSB. The 965P's and other motherboards weren't suppose to support them(EDIT: 1333 FSB 65nm processors), but many manufacturers changed their minds to add support. Mine does, and so does the one I listed for you. Will it support penryn's 45nm??? That can't be answered until time reveals it. So that is probably why intel might have a price cut, because of their new processor line coming out. Either that or AMD might be going for a hail marry, but i doubt that.

He said upgrade, not complete new build. He had choice of ram already picked out that seemed fine. Optical dvd/cd that do rw/r are cheap, you can get one that does everything for $40 bucks at newegg, from Sony to LiteOn. As for Power Supply, if he wanted one Id suggest get 600 watt PSU just in case of future upgrades, and you always want a bit more. Antec True Power Trio TP3-650 ATX12V 650W Power Supply with Three 12V Rails $99 after rebate. Its the same one i have in my machine.

SAPPHIRE 100176L Radeon X1950PRO$139 after rebate This is the ultimate sweet spot for oblivion. GIGABYTE GA-965P-DS3 LGA 775 Intel P965 $123 Seagate Barracuda 7200 320GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA $80 Core 2 Duo E4300 Allendale 1.8GHz$155 Under $500 bucks still

Let me reccomend the Gigabyte 965P DS3 or the ASUS P5B motherboards.

!?!?!?! :woot: I always admired this guy, he always had something clever to say about everything. He stood for what he believed in, and had courage. RIP Kurt.

Bigger memory space is one. 32bit system allows addressing up to theoretical 2^32 = 4Gb of memory. What about compatibility for software, games, and hardware?

I BEAT IT I BEAT IT!! The ending to HITMAN Blood Money was great. umm, i don't want to give it away for the people that haven't beaten it yet.
-
Exactly. I'm waiting until Duke Nukem Fornever, Alan Wake, Unreal 3, Crysis all come out. Ill wait 1 year until i buy a new graphic card if i have too. I'm dreading installing Vista too, just for its stupid DX10 support. Meh! Thats going to lick balls. I really have grown to like XP. And then the question is, should i go balls out and get a 64bit operating system when i do bite the dust sometime next year when i buy it(if i do)? What are the benefits of Vista 64, or Vista 32? What would you guys recommend down the road, if i plan to keep my PC for 5 years?
-
HITMMAN Blood money. Im at the level with the Goth club, where i have to kill Ketlyn the double agent, and some other goth mask wearing dude.
-
Jebus Christ Bok, your 3dmark score is insane! i got just about 6000! You easily doubled, it! Thats alright, I will OC, and get a new Vid card when the next generation comes.

Asus is coming out with a sound card, that sounds interesting. Its suppose to have an analog out so you can record anything legally and easily. Well its at least legal for them to make it... Razer Barracuda just made a Audio card too that is suppose to kick butt, i don't know if it really does but it has a EMI shield on it, which would fix my problem i get when i wear my headphones, unless i could make my own EMI shield.

I just received Shivering isles and Knights of the nine!!!!! :) :brows: :brows:

my motherbaord came with 3DMark, ill have to install it soon and give a try at it. Although my system will never run SLI, or crossfire. Maybe Ill add a physics card if or when they become popular. I did read in the news today that AMD/ATI will be adding a high quality sound proccessor to their graphic card that will be Vista compatible and also will support HDMI. I hate HDMI....
