  1. Hey, did you ever duel wield: MotF, Sapith, Solari - Attack +7, Damage +5-12, +1-12 physical vs Dark Jedi HotG, Upari, Krayt dragon Pearl - Attack +7, Damage +3-20. BTW, those figures are right. So don't question them Was quite insane, I only worked this out my second time through Malak was mince in a flurry (hoho - pun).
  2. Do you think an extra feat should be required to wield a saber staff then? I mean, I know there's .. er cant remember feat name... duel weapons or whatever, maybe there should be another set of 3 feats for duel/staff lgihtsabers, because they are different weapons in their own right requiring a different amount of skill. As soon as I got my first short lightsaber (on Tatooine) and loaded it up with crystals the PC turns into a killing machine. Same goes for staff. (I already had master duel wield at this point).
  3. ' Lovers of the original characters need not worry, though, many of them will be making return appearances in KotOR II, especially a certain protocol droid with a bad attitude and a lax attitude toward the sanctity of human life.' yayyyyyyyy!
  4. Tournaments are good Oh, and as for the swoop race, if we go back to Tatooine or Manaan (for reasons unknown) imagine the possibility of Revan's times still withstanding... and in order to get the exact times as you got in KOTOR 1, speak to the race judge and he says 'What was Revan's record again?' Dialogue options 21.21, 21.22, 21.23, 21.24 ... :D
  5. Wow thx Akari for clearing that one up. I myself had come to the conclusion that the computer cheated, now I've reconsidered I think its good to have it back in KOTOR2, continuity is a good thing... I mean is it 5 years after KOTOR1? I'm sure Blackjack still exists from 5 years ago? Damn, I'm right... Pazaak is pretty good as a game against friends you know, somebody on the Bioware forum created a Pazaak online thing, pretty good...
  6. Im a bit confused by this 'calling on the Dark side of the Force' idea... does that mean by just using a dark force power, or having some sort of, er, *dark calling* button to amplify your attacks or something? If you are talking about the powers... I agree. I think force heal should give you a slight nudge in the LS direction and choke/lightning etc should give you DS. The only problem I can see with this is that you could become exploitative and decide to get LS/DS mastery straight away just by using powers over and over. Or are you just talking about DS here? Sorry, can't be bothered to read too in depth, skim-reading is the way forward Sounds cool though.
  7. Hey dudes give Tyrell a break. I know he may have had a couple of conflicting views lately but don't flame him...
  8. Let's hope so. I only used T3 to open the Sith Base door. And if you are playing light side, thats an expensive door to open.
  9. Also, remember that this engine is not new to them. A game has been released using it, and there is the possibility of the modification to make it more efficient. It's not unknown for the games on consoles to improve graphically you know, as producers get more and more accustomed to the stuff they have at hand.
  10. Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!! ... ... Nooooo! oo ooooooooo.... *cries*
  11. In terms of controllers, an interface where you can see more items than a mere drop down list is certainly advantageous. Repeating my original point edit: not drop down, scroll down, pfft.
  12. Carth is definately one person I'd like to see the back of. Although there are some women out there who love him to bits in KotOR. Pfft. Why dont they choose me instead?
  13. I get at what Darque is saying, that they were dramatic devices to heighten the sense of tension i.e. no hand = completely buggered if you want to use a lightsaber/other weapon. Perhaps if it were used at the end of combat against tougher, more storyline driven characters e.g. a sith master who appears now and again, perhaps a bounty hunter (Calo Nord would have made a good example in KotOR1). It could occur if the health level is depleted but doesnt die to allow for the sake of dismembering the hand/arm, or perhaps a switch to a CG movie clip. Would certainly make for a varied and interesting experience. All rights reserved.
  14. Ok, I say that as my opinion then. Also, I might add, if you choose to publicise your life story on forums, be truthful, be confident and assured you are not doing the wrong thing, take into account other members that could possibly be offended and be for goodness sake be prepared to be beaten down by vicious monsters with sticks.
  15. Yup Im a bit confused as well. I must say, as my first RPG on the pc, (zelda really being the only other RPG I'd played) I found the inventory system pretty atrocious. I like the idea of having tabs on Light/Medium/Heavy Armours/Weapons etc, and rather than being a big list, couldn't it be a sorta, big square where each item has a distinguishable icon? So basically like zelda (but zelda didnt have too many items in comparison, I might add, so had no need of tabs).
  16. OH PLEASE. No more comments on the avatar. And Alexia, don't leave the boards, I am sure you will yet be able to discuss Sith Lords at one's pleasure, despite what has happened here. Its not a good idea to generally publicise your gender, age, or any personal details on forums as they are bound to generate responses such as those in this post. In my opinion, the internet has the joy of being anonymous for the reason of being able to contribute equally and respected equally among members, despite your 'real life status'. This potentially means, whether young or old, male/female, etc. you are heard no more or no less than other members, as long as you keep your personality in check. I say, lets keep it that way. Well done on changing the avatar.
  17. I think that the ending was a bit short in KotOR, I would have liked extended CG cinematic stuff, e.g. all hail the Dark Lord Revan *switchs to scenes of planetwide destruction, Carth dying (yay! pls....)* or the LS ending... rebuilding of a new jedi academy, etc. An example of good endings to games = Zelda series on N64 and GC. Revisitation of every main area you ever saw in game, as well as key characters. Makes it emotional *sniff*
  18. I just want more non-human jedi. That actually fight e.g. instead of all human on the Star Forge KotOR1. In that respect, Vandar doesn't count. I mean, I don't know all the species names, but er.. Twilek jedis! And, that dude in Attack of the Clones who pushes over CPO-3 in the big battle.
  19. Yup. Me too... me too.
  20. I personally liked the option to switch at the end so I could see both endings. It did feel a bit artificial, I must admit, and I agree on the front that the way you play through the game should reflect the ending. But it should not affect the way you choose at the end. If I want to play light side all the way and finish light side, let me. If I want to do that and finish dark side, let me. Please give me choices! (Shoot me if you must, I know I must sound like a dirty blasphemer to some of the more, erm, 'opinionated' out there). I did like the idea of the DS redempted, inherently good LS, pure evil, LS fallen ideas... leaving a total of *gasp* four endings, excluding the gender possibilities. I think it would have been less artificial if you got a choice after all those flashbacks in KotOR1 (Revan revelation) to strike Bastila down or something (then Malak takes her anyway)... turns out she survives and confronts you on the temple still... you might have regretted it and change your ways etc that might've seemed a bit more realistic. I think it's just we like subtle choices, e.g. battle tactics on the computer on Kashyyk, I chose DS options but wanted to be LS... I was like, oh... well thinking about it it is kinda evil to leave those people to be sacrificed, the same for the duel... it is evil to kill that deathmatch guy just for getting money. I believe a sliding scale would work in terms of the more DS you are, the darker possibilities you have in dialogue options, but still there remains 1 LS option. Or as LS, many LS options with different shifts and the 1 option that can lead you down DS. I imagine this is too far fetched to work as the amount of dialogue for it would be immense, I guess programming and coding could be pretty complicated. But, er, yeah. I'll stop typing because I think I'm slowly going off topic or whatever. Who was making cheese on toast again?
