Your confusing being a member of the order with being a Jedi. Besides its not important what you call yourself it's how other percieve you and if it walks like a jedi swings a lightsaber like a jedi and force pushes like a Jedi then its a Jedi." a) I was being called Jedi by commoners before I even had a sabre. b) I didn't use force powers so openly espicially at the start when I had very few. My only truly offesneive force powers were statis and throw lightsabre. c) Even if you were a Jedi; you weren't the last one - espicially with it being known that there were other Jedi. Even people who know of the existence of other Jedi had the GALL to refer to you as the 'Last jedi'... Hahaha.. "The Sith know you have the potential to be a Jedi and thats all that matters to them. It's Kreias plan to use you to get all the Jedi in one place, or for you to have your revenge (and hers through you)." That's stupid. The potential? Lot sof people have the potential to be a Jedi. Hell, over have your aprty had potential to be Jedi. R00fles! This plot point gets weaker, and wekaer everytime a wallyhoo tries to make exuses for it. Lame.
-
The Sith knew there were other Jedi. And, oh, the PC isn't even a Jedi unless he or she makes the choice to actually beocme one late ron. Nice try; though.
-
That still doesn't make you a) A Jedi, or b) The Last Known Jedi.
-
"think the 'Last Jedi' meant the 'Last Known Jedi Alive'." BIG PROBLEM: You aren't a Jedi! There are tons of other Jedi, and its clear that the various Sith knew about them as well. It's a big stinkin' plot hole.

Is the Jedi Watchman pointless?
Volourn replied to ShadowPaladin V1.0's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I'm with U. While, there are times where force powers and grenades are used; it's not nearly enough. This is most evidenced in the finala reawhere you are fighting Dark Jedi/Sith left and right. Out of the HUNDREDS of them I fought; maybe 1 or 2 used force powers. And, also, with how common the super heal paks are why don't the enemy use it more? I agree with SP though. Nihilious does use power attack. Not that it did anything since he had a hard time hitting my ac of nearly 60 in the 10 seconds or so he was alive. <> Sion was Spaghetti Man who only used life drain once and awhile. Kreia was no better with only using force wave a couple times. However, after one of those she actually did use throw sbare. That was cool. Enemies need to use their feats and force powers way more often. Way more. -
Huh? The ending wasn't artsy. It was sloppy.
-
The entire Last Jedi thing was dumb. It really hurt the story, imo.

Is the Jedi Watchman pointless?
Volourn replied to ShadowPaladin V1.0's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
"Jedi Watchman (or Sith Assassin) actually is an all-round, well-balanced, extremely-flexible class. Good combat skills, good force proficiency, good feats choice, balanced stats. Also, Watchmen/Assassins are good enough at almost everything: persuading, intimidating, lying, stealth, crafting, and so on." The problem with a Watchman is not the power level; but the fact that a pure Sentinel is pretty much exactly the same thing. There is nothing really to set them apart. Unlike the vast differences between a Guardian and Weaponmaster. If you want to be like a Watchmen; just stick with Sentinel as its basically the same thing. -
Did You Like Most Of The Planets In Kotor II?
Volourn replied to Bastilla_Skywalker's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
"it took bioware about 3 years to develop, what, 7 or 8 planets (including engine). it took obsidian over a year to develop 7 or 8 planets (already existing engine). asking for 15 to 20 planets is pretty much out of reason since a developer would have to devote too much time for, realistically, too little gain." Yup. or even worse. The planets would be mostly empty with nothing to do. -

Should games be obvious ?
Volourn replied to ShadowPaladin V1.0's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
"not true. there are plenty of times when playing a lightside game has impact on the story when darkside doesnt. atleast to the same, if not more of a degree, than the games you champion." Um.. Like I said, the only reason to play KOTOR1 or 2 more than once (to me) is to experience the LS/DS paths. We agree there... -
No, she does. If that were true, she would have simply taught you. She wouldn't have NEEDED to lie, manipulate, threaten, cajole, and anything else she could do to twist you into soemthing you aren't. She loathes the PC. Her words of love are as hollow as a husband (or wife) who tells their spouse the day after they beat them up that they love them. R00fles! And, thsoe who get suckered in by her are like the abused spouses who keep going back for more. D0uble R00fles!

"Nah. I ain't buying it Volo, sorry." Wouldn't be the first time someone's called me a lair on the 'net... and, been wrong yet won't prove it. "You're still dodging the issue. Companies have a social responsibility towards their workers. There are ways to conduct personnel reductions that don't entail mass layoffs. Those are probably slower and more cumbersome, though. I agree that it's not competitive to keep more employees than you need. But you hired them, you deal with them." I'm not dodiing.l Ahh.. so, you don't believe any reason is worth a firing. Ok. An employee steals form the company. Company cna't fire tham accoridng to you, because... they hired that person so they deal with them. That's lame, and you know it. A company shouldn't be forced to hire/keep more employees than they actually need. That's just plain stupid, and its actually inhumane foricng peopel to do something that they don't want.

"I never got the impression she hated anyone but herself. She truly loved the player for his strength and how he survived without the force. I also got the impression she didn't really looks down on many people (other than Atton), she simply saw them as possible obstacles in the way of the Exiles growth. She was motherly to him, trying to teach him how to be what she considered the best person possible. " O M G "Oh thats obvious but what KOTOR II shows is there are different degrees to the darkside. Malak was the typical crush everything without thought type not very deep and about as subtle as a brick." O M G Both of you need help. a) Kreia wasn't subtle. From the time she 'faked' her death on Peragus I knew she was amanipulative witch. She wasn't subtle, and she was very much about crushing others. She *enjoyed* controlling people. Just take the scene where she is having fun with Atton. She enjoyed causing him pain. You also she this in every act she does. b) She is Hate Incarnate. tm. She is the same as Malak. Dark, evil, shallow. Kreia just has a better way with words - not to mention her old crone shape is bound to make others not fear her 'til its too late. Pretty darn villain; but there was nothing 'light side' or even 'neutral' about her. And, she loathed the PC. Loathed him. What you call 'testing'; I call 'manipulation'. What you call 'loving'; I calll 'abusing'.

Is the Jedi Watchman pointless?

"You also get more force points per level, and unless there's something wrong with the game mechanics (which wouldn't surprise me, frankly), you get the sneak attack bonus when your enemies are in Stasis, so since I ran into pretty much every fight by throwing a Stasis Field first, pretty much every attack I made was a sneak attack." Meh. Couldn't tell. Was doing mondo damage either way. <> And, force points were so high as a Sentinel anyways 1, or 2 more force points meant very little. Both the Jedi Weaponmaster and Jedi Master got KEWL special abilities that put them above the "normal" Jedi class alternatives. -
Should games be obvious ?
Volourn replied to ShadowPaladin V1.0's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
"I fail to see how any of those games is any more replayable than KotOR/TSL (with the possible exception of NWN), but each to his own." More logical stories with nowhere near as balring lopp holes (they have some; but not as glaring); challenging combat; actual different builds for characters and parties. Role-playing wise KOTOR and KOTOR2 are just as 'replayable' as them; but consideirng how much combat both of thes egames have and how easy and boring it is and no matter how you build the characters; the combat is the same (unless you purposely go out of your way to nerf them). Like I said, KOTOR2 (like its predecessor) is worth playing through once for the story and maybe twice to chekc out the DS/LS differences (though I only got half way through a second time with KOTOR1 and I've barely started a 2nd go for KOTOR2 before stopping) as the story is simply likely not going to change enough to make it worthwhile. And, the roel-playing in any CRPG just isn't deep enough to warrant replays on its own strength. -
My impressions after finishing..

Huh? That's not worthy of a M rating. Both KOTOR and KOTOR have scenes just as "m". You are so far fetch. Geez.. -
Is the Jedi Watchman pointless?
Volourn replied to ShadowPaladin V1.0's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
"Hell no. The Watchman gets the most skills," Irrelevant. The Sentinel gets the same amount. The only real difference between Sitinel and Watchmen is the sneak attack SP mentioned which isn't worthy of a "prestige class". Seriosuly, how many would be Jedis use their character to sneak attack the enemy? Probably not much. I multiclassed into Wtachman from Sintinel and my character pretty much got nothing out of it. I should have skipped the whole PrC completely. -
"Those are real people with real families who are trying to make a living and if they are providing you with profit and a service and your company is making money and doing fine. Then don't fire them." Um. But, they're not providing the company a sevrice. They're excess baggage. The company doe snot require their services. A company should never have more employees than it needs to complete it goes. There is no logic whatsoever for a company to have 100 people on its payroll if 50 is all they need to get the job done. That's just plain retarded. I guess you are one of those who think the NBA should have 24 players on each team required to suit up as obviously the company can afford it even though it only needs 12. Whatever. "would like to see you keep your 'all hail rampant capitalism' attitude if you had just been fired because your employer thought the revenues weren't high enough." Been there; done that. It sucks; but it's part of life. Nice try though. It's better than you trying to tell others how to run their company. The next time you want some carpentry work done on your house; I'll require to hire 2 carpetners even though you'll probably only need one because the humane thing to do is give a job to those who need it. R00fles! "Oh my god! You still belive in freedom?!" Yes. But, I don't believe in cold blooded murderers so i don't believe in God. Next.

"How is it that only the corrupt would listen to her? Most of what she said was true and as far as morals go, she was always very logical about it all. " Come on. Kreia was all about hate. Hate this, hate that, hate hate hate. She looked down upon everyone and everything including the PC which is why she used, abused, and manipulated the PC. Yes, often times she was logical. It's what I call spindoctoring. Kreia amde sure to spin everything to make her sound better than she truly was when in reality she was as crooked, spiteful, and fearful as they come. Kreia had no good qualities outside of her obviously immense power.

which character do you like best for love quests??
Volourn replied to BastilaShan's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
"You didn't dig playing "pazaak" with "Atton" in the "c0ckpit?" ............ -
Meh. Got the sequence mixed up.. <> Thanks for the clear up.

"But massive layoffs when they aren't needed should be against the law." Shouldn't how many employees a company needs be up to said company? The way I see it; if I only need 10 employees to accomplish my company's goals why should I be FORCED to keep 20? That seems a waste, and those people's talents are better off being used elsewhere. I think the problem is people want all companies to be run like the government - huge, bloated, and unneeded mess of masses. Whatever. P.S. Strider wins.
