Being silly? I count many games better than PST including BIS games and Obsidian games. BG series FO series NWN JE KOTOR series Arcanum BL FF series (various games; but not all) Ultima series The list can go on... "Those links were NOT the example of PST being a great game, they were a PROOF that many people think that it is a great game, which is what my point was all about. Similarly, I may trash NWN or DS, but I would never argue against the fact that those games were popular and sold well." 1. I never mentioned 'sold well' at all. 2. 3 links to 3 reviewers is NOT proof that many people think that it's a great game. 3. Heck. I bet we can find 3 people who thought Dungeon lords was 'one of the best games evar'. 4. You can show many links, and it still doens't prove how greta it is. It just shows how popular a game is. 5. Again, it takes more than 3 linsk to 3 seperate rules that many people feel this way. 6. The term 'many' proves nothing as eveyr game has it ssupports that believe it's the 'best ever'. Please try harder.

No. More like 18th best or so.

Mistress' used to be cool; now it's just ok. I post in the Games Forum 'cause it's still cool. Vault, you know it's true. You guys bash MW 9as do I), DS, and NWN yet all those games (espicially NWN and MW) have won MANY awards, have great reviews, and everything else. And, please, don't use Gamespy (or other sites) as axamples consideirng how much you guys bash those review sites as garbage, sell outs, and other assorted namecalling. R00fles!

Just because you don't ban people for having a different opinion doesn't mean you repsect said opinion. Afterall, you more or less called MCA stupid and a sell out (subtley of course; don't want to be too obvious) all because he disagreed with you on various issues.
-
No. He got banned because someone complained about him saying something that they took personally. Afterall, Strauss spends a lot of his posts complaining about BIoware on the boards. Besides, did you miss the part where the ban was temporary and the issue was resolved? And, as he just mentioned, different issue.

I think those whining about the Codex here should look in the mirror, and admit they are exactly like them in every way that matters. Opinionated, looking down upon those who they disagree with them, etc., etc. The Codex is really no different from 99% of forums except since it's not some official company site the rules are a lot more lax which is a good thing. As for the title they gave me. They gave it to me as some form of silly punishment; but I accept it as an honour. Besdies, as dumb and pathetic as the interviewer was; at least MCA didn't budge. Only FAKE FO fans make the case that NR doesn't fit the setting or sucks. And, really, they should stop overrating PST. Even MCA found himself ina position during the interview of being a counterbalance in knocking down his own game a peg or two. Go figure. Overall, the new series of interviews there are cool even if the Codex doesn't know how to interview. Afterall, an interview shouldn't be about calling the interviewee stupid, wrong, and a sellout. Game over. For now...

Movies: Joker, The Devil (from the Stand though I seem to have misplaced his character name, lol), Rose Red (Rose Red),Freddy Krueger, Biff (Back to the Future series), and a host of others I'm missing. TV: Faith Roscoe (General Hospital), Spike (Buffy), Lyla (Angel), The Borg (Star Trek: The Next Generation), and more. Games: Irenicus & Bodhi (Baldur's Gate 2), Master Li (Jade Empire), The Master (Fallout), and more. Books: Drizzt's Nemesis (Icewind Dale trilogy and beyond), The Devil (The Stand), Rose Red (Rose Red), and more.

The Codex are full of jerks... which is why I love 'em.
-
"I see little Volo's popularity remains high as ever." The Codex loves me.

If you don't know how to reach the Codex than you likely don't want to go there. Besdies, I'm not here to babysit other people's journey on the internet. And, hey, I did a GOOD deed. We were discussing MCA, and there was an interview with him on another site so I was nice and told everyone about it. So, don't be mean and call me bad for being good (for once). P.S. Llyr managed to find it with no link. Go figure.
-
Didn't he write the Tin Can and Fire Face from PST? I'll pass. The best example to use for MCA's awesome writing skillz is New Reno from FO2. Awesome,a wesome, awesome. P.S. Codex has an interview with him up! Good stuff except it contains the usual Codex laughables; but MCA is great!

Hey, I'm as civil as whoever I'm replying to is... well I try to be anyways (we all slip once and a while), except on the Codex, where I hold nothing back. :D

Actually, they had personalities. To say otherwise is simply not true. And, you can't get more simple than Minsc. LOL The OC npc problem was that there was a lack of INTERACTION,a nd the npc quests for striaght forward go collect the quest item stuff. And, the ability to only have one npc therefore losing the npc-npc and npc-npc-pc interaction as well. Both of those were fixed in the expansions (SOU didn't have multiple henchmen though).

The fact of that matter is some people dislike the game, and can't handle that others do. "However, you defend Neverwinter Nights from anyone without ever seeing past your own understanding of the game." False. After 4 years of NWN discussions; I've hear iit all. In fact, as much as I like the OC (and NWN as a whole), I AGREE with lots of the criticism directed to it, Some examples include the one henchmen system, the summons system, resapwning, and the list goes on. However, I can look past these weaknesses and see that the game is good, and definitely better than most other RPGs. "Some people don't like it's tired and clitche storyline, some people don't like it's uninspired character designs and NPCs... You see what I'm saying?" Opinion not fact. It means very little. P.S. I'm glad you admit that you may have gone overboard by accusing me of being 'clouded by my love of BIO. In fact, I don't like BIO. I like BIO *games*. Strengths, weaknesses, and all. It's the same reason why I like BL besides ABHORING its combat. I'm not worried if someone likes or dislikes NWN (OC or otherwise); but some people tend to exaggerate it's 'awfulness' thereby exemplifying their lack of gaming experience or clouded judgement. And, like *any* fan of a game if someone says x game I like is awful; I will defend it. That doens't mean I'm blinded to its faults though it also doesn't mean I'll agree with what you think its faults are. In conclusion, all is good in the world (well.. not coutning wars, murders, rapes, famines, me being a virgin etc. etc. lol) and we are all happy.

Don't hate on Meta because he posts the truth.

Oh tag. (and ow... 'cause that includes us " ) ................ but, so true...

"@ Volourn Neverwinter Nights OC was just horrible, you are wrong... Do you understand? You are wrong." I tend not to let Obsidian fanboys or those who think games like POR2 or KOTOR cloud my judgemnt. NWN OC was a good game. It was so good it was good enough to earn two expansions, and a sequel. "End of story, your devotion for Bioware may cloud your eyes, but not mine... and quiet a few people that are regulars here either." That's funny. Full of crap; but funny. I wonder if my 'devotion for BIO' clouds my eyes when I call KOTOR overrated as its combat sucks and its controls are pathetic. I wonder if 'my devotion to Bioware' clouds my eyes when i REFUSE to play two of their games. Or when I exchange barbs with Gaider. Or when the game I'm most looking forwrad to is NOT a BIO game; but an Obsidian game. The list goes on. For all this talk about someone's judgement being 'clouded'; you should look in the mirror.

Can't. You can't lose a level when creating items, or casting spells (not 100% sure about the by the rules for the last part). You simply don't have the 'energy' (xp) to empower it.

"Hey! I am not like you!" That's true. You are worse in this instance as you were actually using those 4.5/5 scores as 'proof' of its horrible mass of reviews (all 5 or so of them lol). -
"Not just the females, Volo" True. :D You win.

"I don't know of any aethiests who advocate killing religious people. Does anyone ?" Hades. "As I said most aethiests are quite happy to let people worship whatever they like." Yo, Mcfly. Most religious people feel the same exact way. They also have no problem with other sbeing athiest, and leave alone. Once again, as any group espicially a speudo rleigious group, athiests have their *own* extremists.

The same thing. Too long ago to remember original D&D or 1E (or if it even had detailed magic item creation rules); but I'd wager if they did; it likely be the same. The rule here (or guideline) fits logically in the mythos of D&D magic item creation. It costs power (xp) to create power (magic item) or casting certain spells).

"4.5 out of 5 is a low mark ?" LOL Great catch. I can't believe I missed that. What a doofus both Meta and I are for being tools.
