Considering that NWN2 is a D&D game, and its focus audience is D&D nerds, and sicne D&D nerds are likely the most vocal of fans when it comes to D&D games espicially on message baords; I doubt we'd be reading lots of complaints about it since the masses (those who buy the game for whatever reason) likely won't post at all. Besdies, it's really no different than having a party member charmed and attacking the rest of the party is it? Not hearing much complaints about that... though, I'd like nto cats offensive spells on party memebers like hold though. Hoepfully, Obsidian adds that feature!!!

Grossman bad = 6 turnovers... though, he's at 3 now... P.S. game is over. Congrats.

RDD Wings Taken Out For Some Reason?
Volourn replied to 17243_1556103691's topic in Computer and Console
Yeah. A rush of 2.5 years... About the same as a certain DEAD game. -
"only real difference be that BIO seems ta be lettin' the trolls feed a bit more within reason...canna say I really blame 'em, since it ain't theys game, but Obsidz's... " That's not true. Threads are being locked left,a nd right. I'm also sure there's been plenty of warnings given if not outright bans. I think they're handling it basically like they did. However, like Cant mentioned they've learned as well and which is probably why they have those two stickies now. :joy:

1. Coughlin = worst coach ever. 2. I hate Feely. 3. What were the Giants smoking!?! Bah. they deserve to lose the agme, and next week too as punishment for that whole stupid play.     "If the Giants win, they will win in spite of Eli" Agreed. Add Coughlin, and Feely to that, please.

"Something tells me that if we put it down to 2 a round (of subdual damage at that) and instituted the FB's chance of annihilating teammates, people wouldn't be so enthusiastic about having things the way they "should be"." I'd be all for it. heck, I have to deal with Khelgar attacking me when he's charmed while I'm not allowed to cast hold person on him I can deal with lunatic berserkers. ) I mean, the clss is even called frenzied Berserker.
-
Who knows. It's all speculation. And, as soemthing both Cant and I both agree on... cna't judge a game by it's message board. It's beyond silly to.
-
"Actually, the NWN boards were far, far worse." Nope, they weren't. It's about the same; but meh; that's life.
-
I bet he's upset that frienzied berserkers can't die while enraged. thats' not buggy; but a class feature. A horrible and overpowered one at that, imo. There is so many ways one can abuse that power.
-
Of course, Manning is playing agsint the Bears D while Grossman is playing against the Giants' Second String. And, not Grossman = woot; but Bears defense = Woot (well, except that last Ginats drive). Grossman is playing good right now. Not great;l but good. Eli playing bad; but not Grossman bad. LOL

"I've been to the Bioware forums and the current state DOES NOT COMPARE to the NWN release." Yes, it does. It's about the same, imo. Though, one should point out that BIO didn't even feel the need to make seperate stickies for pros and cons (IIRC) for NWN1 like they have for NWN2. It's like they feel the need to seperate the kiddies (which are both sides) this time. And, it's not even their game because dragged into a war. R00fles!

Actually, I played NWN1 MP A LOT. Soulthief stated that you can't pause in MP. That's a flat out LIE. And, there are plenty of times where pausing makes sense. btw, MP doesn't always equal PvP or PWs, it could - you know - mean small group playing with a DM. Which, if you didn't know was the whole original mission statement of NWN series to begin with. It's also what sets it a part from 99.999999% of other RPGs. Game over. "Out of those 101 things, I'd say maybe 30 were legitimate gripes rather than just opinions stated as fact, 20 of which were multiplayer issues so don't apply to me, and the other 10 could easily be fixed in a patch." When people hate a agme they find any exuse to hate even more. I mean, people who hated NWN1 complained about the music and voiocesets yet hardly a peep from those same folks when those same things are in NWN2. people whined about NWN OC's death system, and the way it handled resting yet the death system is a mockery of the D&D death system in NWN2, and the retsing is basically the exact same thing as in NWN1. In this very thread, someone whined about the number of drgaons in NWN1 (there were 7 IIRC), and NOT a peep over the 3-4 dragons in NWN2. *shrug* People cried about how 'fast' NWN1's levelling was, and how much phat loot you got, and how 'easy' the combat was... yet those same things don't seem to bother those same people in NWN2. Go figure. The same can be argued in the opposite direction. People are people. OMG! I made a truthy!!

If the Bears lose this game it's 100% Grossman's fault.. Well.. 90%. 8% the running back's fault... 2% offensive lines' fault. With the Giants defense DECIMATED with injuries there is no exuse not to beat them up. P.S. Outside of that last drive, Grossman has played horribly as predictable as that is.
-
"NWN1 OC was better?" I never said that. Please read my post again. Thanks again. "That's nice, but you can't "pause" online..." Um. Yes you can. It's 100% up to the server admininstrator unless for some reason they took that option out of NWN2 which I doubt they did.
-
"That would explain why NWN's single player combat is so awful." Yet, let me guess, you enjoy NWN2's combat which gtw is the same exact kind of combat. *shrug* Tigranes: NWN OC was epic. It fits the definition to a key as does NWN2's OC even though I think the story itself is overrated. in fact, the story is worse than NWN1's BY FAR. Thankfully, it does other stuff well to make up for it. "Just becasue it's big and gives you so much loot/xp you end up killing dragons left and right" You described NWN2 OC!!!

Volourn's Wowwy Journey With NWN2:Spoiler Edition
Volourn replied to Volourn's topic in Computer and Console
"The spider being Lolth's "child" and being a drow it was a nice set up by the devs." Sorry. Had nothing to do with lloth. Besides, that spider is too 'goody' or 'too neutral' for Lloth's taste. It's an abomination. Did yopu spit on Lloth by murdering all other spiders in the game? You MEANIE! -
"I for one thought NWN 2 was vastly superior to NWN in almost everything" You, for one, are wrong. It has a lot of things it does better; it also does a lot of things worse. The sad thing is that as a sequel there's no excuse for it doing *anything* worse. Again, the biggest reason why the guy in this case is a moron is he's too busy whining about some similarities that NWN2 shares with KOTORs series when either a) the similarities are superficial or b) KOTOR like NWN2 was amde with the Aurora engine so of course they share similarities. The only real things KOTOR/KOTOR specific that NWN2 has is the 'influence syustem' which has been around for years without the fancy name. They just used a matehmatical system to statistically keep track of your relationships. NWN2's combat is 'similar' to KOTOR's combat because KOTOR's combat is si8milar to NWN's. LOL And, NWN2's combat is pretty much 99.9% like NWN's. It's the reason why I like NWN2's combat even though it's rather easy. I DESPISE KOTOR's combat since it's nothing but dumbed down NWN combat. Soulfish: Nah. It's just because dissapointed people ar eusually more vocal espicially at release. People whined about NWN1 too at release. In the end, they meant crap just like anti NWN2ers mean nothing as well. R00fles!
-
P.S. I went, and read the whole thing instead of simply skimming. I came to the obvious conclusion - the fellow is a moron. Plain, and simple. P.S. I hate double posts; but I hate him more!!!
-
He makesa good points and some bad ones. And, his attitude helps nobody. First off, NWN2's engine is based off of Aurora's. Heck, so was the KOTOR engine. But, NWN2's engine espicially combat, gameplay, and rules is MUCH closer to NWN1 than any other game. Again, he makes some good points. I like NWN2 a lot; but I'd agree with a lot of the complaints. Just not as passionately as others. I feel I'm in the same baot as NWN1 as I shared plenty of the complaints others had from that agme (everrest, respawn, random bareels with loot on street)and the like; but they never bothered me as much as it did other people. *shrug* I'm gonna all caps the following: NWN2 IS THE SEQUEL TO NWN1 AND FEELS, ACTS, SOUNDS, AND PLAYS LIKE IT!!!! Ok. Done then.

Eh? From what i remember, Duskwood doesn't have any rock covered caves.. unless I missed something... It has two cave entrances and I can enter/exit them fine..

There is an undo button; but it only undoes the latest additions. I'll try Ctrl-Z. And, yeah, you can see the area; but not the whole thing. Depending what you are looking at; parts of it will 'vanish'/move off screen. I'd like a view like the 'over the top' method ala NWN toolset where you can see the whole area. If that's even possible with the new age toolset.
-
Seriously, does anyone know how to 'undo' things that were added to the module far back? It be very useful. And, a way to view an entire area in the toolset at once as I'd like to be able to judge the 'look' of an area completely.
