NHL 09 is a very fun game; but there are sum things pissing me off. kthnxbye

NHL 08, and NHL 09.

"Come on, people, I'm sure noone really thinks Fallout or Neverwinter Nights 2 has the best intro they've ever seen.." Perhaps they are. Perhaps, their favorite games are their favorites partly because the intros drew them in. Buyt, yeha, everyone should have the same opinions as you. P.S. NEVAR FORGET!:

LW is my main. Had to play center once and won maybe 33% of faceoffs, and got stuck with goalie once. Surrender 2 goals on 12 shots, and lost... though, it should have been 3 against as we lost 4-2 with 1 empty net...

I really hate shooting with the control stick. Computer goalies are near impossible to score on. Thankfully, player goalies are pretty easy (for me). HAHA!
-
I haven't seen bugs yet.. well other than i'm not used tod efault controls yet (i've always sued classic in the past)... I have a bad habit of screwing up my shots.. ie deking when i want to shoot or torpedoing my slap shot or shooting when i meant to deke). HAHA!

NHL 09 is very fun, and basically a suped up 08. However, it has problems. The hits are even more ridiculous - espicially the boarding ones - and the stick lift is too easy and too perfect with little consequences for it done wrong... Plus, I'm actually trying default controls, and man do I suck at shooting with it. L0L

NHL 09 NHL 09 NHL O9

Did you buy 2K9? If you did, youa re weak. I played the demo, and I wept... at how horirblely crappy it was. Be patient. NHL 09 will be available for you soon. P.S. One of my XBOX Live 'Friends' has NHL 09. Lucky jerk.

Yeah, but this is a Dreamcast thread so it's silly to be discussing some unknown console made by some comapny hardly anybody has heard off. If I remmeber the timeline corretcly (may be off by a bit); but DC came out about the same time the original Playstation came out (along with whatever machine Nintendo had at the time.. N64? Gamecube? L0L Lost tracked)... eaisly the worst of the three. And, yeah, I know Dreamcast still has its share of hardcore defenders; but hardcore defenders arne't enough to keep a console in business. It just wasn't good enough to compete. But, anyways, enough about the DC... Let's talk about Sega 'cause at leats they still exist... no thanks to DC which nearly bankrupted them... L0L Sonic RPG has gone gold.. who's buying it? I'm not..

Sure, it does. It's ships on the 9th (today) so depending on the delivery truck (plane, whatever0 it is posisble for stores to start selling today; but likely not. The game is scheduled for official release on 9/11. But, even then, your neighbourhood store still isn't GUARANTEED to have it in stock on that day. Once EA ships it out, their control of when they game gets to stores and then is sold is limited. Example: Some in Kanada get the game today, I likely won't have it to tomorrow, and most won't see it until Thursday. And, I have no doubt there be some crying on Thursday that x stores doens't have any copies. *shrug*

Dreamcast was not some unknown. It was made by sega a major company. It simply was a failure that failed.
-
Hence the shipping date. L0L Gut it? Git it? Good.
-
9/9 is shipping. Release is 9/11. You may get lucky, and get them early; but you still aren't guaranteed to have it on 9/11. You guys made the n00b mistake of thinking that 'shipping date' = game in your hands automatically. L0L
-
Nah. Dreamcast died cause it wasn't as good as the competition was despite how much its fanboys defend it.
-
One of the worst consoles ever if not the worst.
-
Is that even possible? Instead of 1-0 games, all games would end in 0-0 ties. L0L

Final Fantasy 8. No contest.

"Most gamers do not believe the world owes them something" They sure do hence all the thievery. And, whining. And, crying. And, belittling of developers and publishers as human beings. And, always the ffort to get something free or as cheap as can be. Customers are scumbags who are selfish pieces of crap. "We need more campaigns on this issue, and we need some powerful consumer associations to effect some changes in an industry that too often treats its consumers like crap and expects to get away with it." NO! That be horrible - and, it's bad enough we have some groups/people who try to act like that. What's needed is an organziation to smack down customers who think the world evolves around them when it doesn't. "It's a feature of our modern capitalist world that 'The Consumer is King'." And, it's an immoral feature that is broken, and leads to the evils that customers have become.

Along with the usual stuff, I'm playing the NHL 09 demo. SWEET!

"This is a guy who's numbers steadily declined since he signed the fat contract, whose defensive play got worse, and who will never be forgiven for scoring into his own net last season." He's still a top 2-3 defensemen on most teams. The entire team (other than Sundin and Kaberle) were not so good. The fact that everyone tries to make him the scapegoat is ridiculous. His defensive play was fine, and the decreasing numbers are also a sign of the team's lack of quality upfront. If Toronto wasted any money it was Blake who got WORSE in Toronto after scoring 40 goals on Long Island of all places. L0L And, oh, the Leafs may have got a 'good' defenseman (yeah, right); but they lost a better one. The Pantehrs got the better deal because they got the better player. He's a weak tool 'cause he got bullied into waiving his no trade clause (which he earned) through not so subtle threats and intimidation (ie.Leafs were going to pay him to stay home which would ahve made their team worse). If I were him, I'd have called their bluff. They would have made their team even worse by having their second best defenseman sitting at home yet still paying him. L0L

Yes, he can make things worse for himself...
Volourn replied to Deadly_Nightshade's topic in Way Off-Topic
So, how does this make things 'worse' for Bush? Does his now irrelevant 'popularity rating' go down 2% if this is made super public? Oh, I get it. It'll cost him himself the election this November. No 3rd term for Bush... oops... he cna't run anyways. L0L -
Good trade? they just got worse on the ice where it actually matters. McCabe is a good defenseman who just happened to play on a very crappy team. Panthers won this deal hands down unless Toronto gets lucky. Just another betrayal of teams and 'fans' backstabbing a player yet people wonder why players have no or little problem leaving when it suits them. Makes me smile even more that Pronger won a cup with Anaheim, and that Sundin laughed at Toronto's attempt to trade him last season. McCabe should ahve told the Leafs to bite them, and to honour the contract they willingly signed. Instead, he allows himself to get bullied. What a weak tool.

"Because there are a lot of couch potato sports fans out there who are too lazy to go out and play sports." That's ignoring the fact you cna play both real life sports, and video game sports. Then again, FO is only popular 'cause there are a lot of couch potato post nuclear fans out there who are too lazy to press a button so we can actually live it. L0L " Plus they have a monopoly on sports games." No, they don't. And, sports isn't their only source of income. Never heard of the Sims, right? "Come on Volo lets hear it! I see you. " So, you admit to posting only to troll for responses? Cool.
