"One of their problems is their approach to rogues isn't what most people associate with rogues. The classes are Warrior, Also Warrior, and Mage." I agree and that's what is happening with PE too. Rogues are now warriors in the new age of RPGs. "A mage throws a fireball and no one bats an eyelid, but put them in armor and that's just unrealistic." Depends on the game. In DnD, armour intevered in the magiks (that was story excuse for game play reason). Plus, as mentioned above, majority of mages spend their time studying books, and spells. They don't focus on gaining muscles to wear they can conceivably left armour let alone war it for long times.

Yeah, but as much as I rag on them, I still think OKC takes it.

"First and for most Dragon Age Origins was remade to make Console Players happy that is whey it combat is not so good for PC players do any of you see PS3/4, X-Box 360/0 as the board for PoE no then it mean that the game will have combat like Baldurs Gate and Icewind Dale. So please get sober and try to read about what you want to ask." I'm a PC player and the combat was fine. "Eh, still quite a few less then what BG had, especially if we count variants of the same base creature." No. "Dungeon Siege 3 was a very good attempt at meshing turn-based or paused combat with action controls." DS3 was trash. Thankfully, PE will have more in common with DA combat than DS3.

Snoop Dog proved himself to be racist in that vid. Way to fight racism, Snoop Dog! No better than **** Sterling.

"or supported the state enforced propaganda lie that Saddam Hussein had WMD a" It's a known fact he did. That was no lie. The lie is the myth he didn't have any. The guy flat out admitted to it.

Making excuses for an overrated player. Typical. Tony Allen is a nobody who would cry if he has to face Lebron. Also, blaming the coach for crappy shooting. LMAO
-
That OKC game tonight shows why Durant shouldn't be MVP. he had such a crappy game yet his teams till won in spite of not because of him. MIA would never win if Lebron has such horrible shooting % and overall stats. And, Westbrook was no better. MIA definitely wouldn't win if BOTH their top players did crappy.

They can do what they want.but that means they get no pay.

"Ain't a vacuum. The world don't work that way. Free speech is good and all, and so Sterling won't be prosecuted by the government for hate speech, but that doesn't mean there won't be repercussions. The NBA is an image conscious league that cares very much about public perception. Players and other owners have already begun to speak out against Sterling. His statements will have fiscal consequences and the league will be in damage control for here on out. They will act." That's because the NBA are represented by nazis since the vast majority of people are wannabe nazis. It's about power, control, and slavery. Very few people believe in TRUE free speech. they give it lip service. Because theya re evil to the core.

"If those comments were made by a team employee or player, you bet there would be suspensions." And, I'd be force to be against it. Also, players have used bigoted langauge before and outside of a silly fine nothing happened. I don't beleive there should be no repercussions. And, the Clippers will be fine in FA stuff. The guy is scum and so is everyone who wants him punished for having unpopular options because they are just as bad as him as they believe in slavery and are anti freedom.

Oh, back to actual basketball... how about them 'no doubt favorites' Spurs!?! They lost to Vince Carter! HAHAHAHAHA!!! P.S. I like Carter actually but just need to make fun of so called thread 'experts'.

Considering DAO combat was basically like IE combat without 6 second rounds, I expect PE to be like it. It won't be exactly the same of course but it won't be radically different gameplay wise. Rules wise, yet again, it will be different, but it will be similar since there's only so many different ways you can do this type of combat/gameplay no matter how 'different' you try to be. . "There was too much of it," Compared to what? Every RPG ever created from BG to TOEE to U to Fo has lots, and lots, and lots of combat. "the abilities were boring," Yeah, way more more boring than the BG fighter ability of simply swinging their weapon. "the loot was uninspired" Much of it was but that's no different than any other RPG with +1, +2 or the equivelant line of weapons but it had its sahre of rather unique, interetsing, and cool loot. "and there were too few enemies." It basically had the same amount give or take a few enemies that BG had. *shrug* The only thing I expect from PE combat is for it to be fun. Period.

Sterling is trash. Dispicable human being but, imo, nothing should happen to him, but it will. he'll be suspended and fine because people are no better than he is and believe in slavery because everyone believes in power, control, and treating those who think/act/are different than them like garbage. He's a piece of crap but you believe he should have money stolen because he has different beliefs than you you are no better.

How does PoE innovate?
Volourn replied to Zeckul's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
"bar none it was the weakest base class. If someone took the class it was a dip(1-2lvs), a full fighter was worse in every aspect to any other class in the system. It could be out-fought, out-skilled, and out maneuvered by any other class in the system. They were jack of all trades in combat maneuvers, but not in succeeding in using them." No. -

"But not putting them in can make a game more strategically and tactically challenging than it might otherwise have been, since potions are basically a strictly positive option without downsides in most games (one of the few things I found tactically interesting about the Witcher series is their spin on that). " 1. So are most options in games. 2. They don't have to be. Your example of Twitcher while I hate the game overall is example of how to fix that. A % chance of being poisoned or limited on how many potions youc ran drink. DA2 did this. You couldn't guzzle a potion every second. I know there were a few times I badly needed a potion and I simply had to wait. Talk about torture. L0L

Wishing cancer on someone over a game is evil and shows one has no honour. Those who do deserve to get cancer.

The problem with rape reporting in modern countries is that much of it isn't actually rape. A 17 year having consentual sex with his 15 year old girlfriend can be considered rape. Slapping someone's butt can be considered rape. Two drunks having sex, one of them regretting it the next morning and reporting it also can be considered rape. these kind of things spit in the face of true rape victims. Plus, as some of the posts above suggests, men can't be rape only women. Disgusting. A teen taking a nude selfie sends it to their boyfriend/girlfriend who shares with friends is considered rape. WTH!?! Now, back on actual topic, potions can add to the game. Taking away potions only hurts strategy/tatics. It doesn't help. Having too many potions makes the tatics/strategy less meaningful which is also bad. 'Nough said.

"Drinking potions and casting spells in order to beat the almighty roll machine does not a game make. Or maybe its does not a fun game makes. It isn't tactics definitely. " Plenty of fun games have been incldued these, and they add to the charm. Again, though, I'm all for LIMITED potions. None of this 99 potions in my backpckc rap. "The DnD and usual CRPG approach lead to ridiculous situation that a typical lvl 20 character can murder an army of level 1 characters. As you climb upwards in levels the world grows boring as you're basically above everything and everyone. I always thought it was a careless way to design character progression. I think the players would respond well to a game that doesn't pander to them so much. They certainly did with Dark Souls and that's a lot more sadistic than Talislanta." That's silly. DnD doesn't pander to the player unless the DM (or game developer) panders to the player. A battle is challenging or not challenging based on palcement not based on how much hit points you have. I do agree that, on the surface, a character being able to mass murder many low level character is silly... whcih is why DnD has rules to deal with mass attacks against single characters so 'mob rules' can rule. "PC's improve their skills but can never improve their hit points by normal means." That can work and be fun. As an alternative. But, it isn't better or worse. "That ensures that the combat is deadly and adds a degree of realism. Ferocious monsters stay that way because you know your chances of victory against them are slim. You have to be really clever to get the best of them and stack the situation in your favor through good role playing." L0L Beat the monster by 'good role-playing'. That doesn't even make sense. So, if I role-play the perfect elven archer I'll beat the dragon no matter what? Are you kidding me? Dragons aren't beat by role-playing. Theya re beat in combat (or trickery et al in dialogue) but you can be the best role-player and steal lose. LMAO Besdies, I wouldn't want to have the player face the same monster over and over again and still fear death. That's silly. if you faced and defeated 5 hydras the 6th simply shoudln't be as scary or tough. That's illogical.

Anyone who hates 'pre buffing' hates rpgs, combat, strategy, and tatics. Yeah, I said it. Potions are awesome as long as they aren't in ridiculous amounts. Regenertaing health (barring super duper magical reasons or related to troll like abilities as the exception) is the bane of all.

That's what you get when you bench a HOFer, Anaheim!! Who do you blame for this loss, jerks!?!
