Darth_Riggers replied to Swinny's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
When I played LS I really wanted to redeem Malak......but no, he just carked it. -
"Mandalore: (During a storm on Dxun) Siiiinging in the rain, I'm just singing in the rain!" Best mental image ever! Revan: Well actually, I'm a hermaphrodite. Double the fun!! ----------------------- Exile (On Malachor): Oh no! The Ebon Hawk's knackered!! And where are the rest of my team? Are they PK? Did they survive the crash? *Later* Exile: Hey!! Someone fixed the Ebon Hawk!! I guess so, as Kreia didn't mention them dying on Malachor....

Should The True Sith Be In Kotor III?

Ha ha, ****ney gets censored!! You forgot Black Country as well!! My friends and I once did a rather amusing Hellraiser skit with the cenobites being from Dudllaaaaaay.

--Vash got captured on purpose, much like Vrook. She was trying to discover their plans. --HK-47 tells you that Vash has been dead less than an hour when you find her body, so she was killed right after your arrival. Sion used her as bait to find you and Kreia. --In part one, there weren't any Female masters. Did Episodes I/II have any either? I've suppresed my memories of those awful movies. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> There are quite a few female masters in the prequels, and a couple that are on the Jedi council, including a female of the same race as Yoda.

Most exciting aspect of Episode III

Yup! -
Vrook always seemed way too narky and arrogant to be a jedi, never mind a master.

I call it molelobster, because the mole bit comes first. Mandalorian recruiting poster courtesy of Gorth (I just added the text). <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Quite literally laughing my ass off!! -
You're the one going 'Revan and Exile are both LS males, it's canon, it's canon' (without providing any proof - an innaccurate Wikipedia entry does not count ) then you dismiss the novels, which in terms of the EU have far more weight than video games, and form the background to KOTOR. If you want all the 'official' information on KOTOR's place in the canon, go to the Starwars.com databank - Revan is kept gender neutral, there is no mention of a romance with Carth or Bastilla...and Revan doesn't even get his/her own entry, and is instead only mentioned in passing in other character's bios. Hell, Revan doesn't even have an official alignment, never mind gender - Bastilla's bio ends, 'Bastila urged Revan to turn to the dark side, and the decision made by Revan ultimately sealed the fate of Bastila, the Star Forge, and Darth Malak's scourge' - which could go either way, light or dark. Hell, even Zalbaar's fate is ambigious - it doesn't say if he chose his father or his brother. In terms of OFFICIAL Star Wars cannon, the only things in KOTOR that are set in stone are the events and characters that are predetermined. And what do you mean 'unofficial Star Wars book'? If it's got the logo on, it's official - all Star Wars novels, comics, etc have to be cleared by LucasFilm. Yes, even the godawful ones. Even the ones that contradict earlier books.

The romance between Revan and Carth was quite endearing, but force lightning wins every time!!

What music do you play while playing?
Darth_Riggers replied to AlaricQelDroma's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I don't think any other music would really suit the game, although I can see the attraction of slaughtering innocents to Angel of Death.... -
A helmet turned Hayden Christensen into James Earl Jones. <_< <{POST_SNAPBACK}> 'The many voices of Darth Vader!!

Favorite Star Wars music theme

Imperial March, followed by Duel of the Fates, followed by The Emperor's Throne Room. Wow, evil really DOES have the best tunes! lol -
Female Romance option SUCKS!
Darth_Riggers replied to Woodsprite4's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Guilty as charged. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> In the first KOTOR, I was really hoping to have the option between Canderous and Carth - either relationship is intriguing. You have Carth who has to overcome his *ahem* trust issues, and the idea of him falling in love with a former Sith Lord who was partly responsible for the death of his wife and his planet was pretty cool. More inner-turmoil for Carth!! Then with Canderous you have two warriors who fought against each other, with differing reasons for going to war. Unlike Carth, Canderous would respect the fact that Revan obliterated his people, not resent it. In KOTOR2, Disciple was just 'ick'. Bouffant hair, stupid face, irritating voice - the man had few redeeming features. Atton, although pretty firmly in the 'Han Solo' mould, was funny, and pliable according to the player's alignment. But Bao-Dur and Canderous would have also been cool. -
I actually really enjoyed the Timothy Zahn books as they seemed set in the Star Wars universe - a lot of the others, although featuring Star Wars characters/planets/technology etc, just didn't seem to be Star Wars. Methinks that Lucas Film need to have tighter quality control...
-
I think as a male character you have a choice between Handmaiden and Visas (but not Mira), and with a female character it's between Atton and Disciple (eww!).

*** Post your bugs/problems here ***
Darth_Riggers replied to Craftsman's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
On my Xbox version (PAL UK) I had the following glitches: *During sparring with two of the Handmaiden sisters on Telos (where you tell them to pair up), after defeating one of them I accidently selected the dialogue option on the defeated sister instead of continuing to attack the active one. This triggered the 'You have been defeated dialogue string', even though I had taken practically no hits. Kreia and Bao-Dur, who were on my team at the time, did not rejoin my character - they just stood there, and I was unable to speak with them. I challenged the sisters to pair up again, and started to fight them - both started the fight with the same amount of life they had when the last fight ended, eg: the one sister had no life, the other had about two thirds. After defeating them, Kreia and Bao-Dur still couldn't rejoin my party. I left them behind and left Telos on the Ebon Hawk. Once on the ship, Bai-Dur and Kreia were in their usual places, but I still could not start a converstion. I went to Nar-Shaddaa, selected them for my party, but they still wouldn't follow my character or talk. *When fighting the HK droids at the polar region of Telos, the game hung with a horrendous buzzing noise when Atton used a medpac, in a very similar fashion to the Canderous mine laying bug of the first KOTOR. *I've noticed that the game seems to freeze when loading with irritating frequency on Nar-Shaddaa. I haven't overwritten a single save yet, so I know it's not an issue with that. I hope that if they do release a fixed version, people who have bought the original will be allowed to exchanged their copy for a reduced cost. -
A link that gave me a clue...
Darth_Riggers replied to eckertt001's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I hardly think an entry in answers.com can be taken as lore - it doesn't say that Revan is male, it says, "In the game Revan may be either male or female, but for the purposes of this entry we shall assume that he was male" - so it's the 'assumption' of someone that's not directly involved with either Obsidian, Lucas Arts or Lucas Film. -
Romance with Bao-Dur UNLOCKED!

I have a "damaged game"
Darth_Riggers replied to Jackass Jones's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Meh, I learnt that lesson with the first KOTOR, after the galaxy droid, 7 Zalbaars, the game crashing whenever Canderous laid a mine, damaged saves..... -
A bizarre thing I read in another thread was that TSL assumes that Revan is a LS male, unless you say differently. However on both my female/male playthroughs, Atton referred to Revan as a female when the subject first came up - to alter that, I'd have had to do the 'Revan was a man!' conversation response. So has anyone had it that Atton initally assumes that Revan is a man?
-
If LA tried to fix Revan as one particular gender, they'd upset a lot of people, regardless of their choice. They'd also have to set Revan's alignment - was Revan reedeemed, or did she kick Malak's tail and retake the title of Dark Lord of the Sith?
-
HK-47 is definitely one of my favourite characters ever.
-
LMAO at this thread The whole point is that Revan and the Exile have no set gender - it's up to the player. they can't be the canon in any great depth - the Exile doesn't even have an official name!
